Abstract

水系冷却剂,其特征在于,配合有磷酸盐、亚磷酸盐、硫酸盐、亚硫酸盐、硼酸盐、钼酸盐、钨酸盐、碳酸盐、碳酸氢盐、和倍半碳酸盐中的任1种以上的无机酸盐。根据本发明的水系冷却剂,由于具备高冷却性能,且作为冷却对象的金属材料不易发生腐蚀,因而适宜作为金属材料的淬火油或切削油。

技术领域
本发明涉及水系冷却剂,具体而言,涉及用于金属部件的淬火等的水系冷却剂。
背景技术
用于金属部件的淬火的冷却剂(热处理液)大致分为油系和水系(水溶液),广泛使用油系的热处理液。这是因为油系的热处理液具有适度的冷却性能,淬火应变小,不用担心淬火裂痕发生的缘故。
另一方面,在特大的金属部件、淬火性差的金属部件的情形中,由于油系的热处理液的冷却速度慢、冷却性能不足,因而使用水系的热处理液。但是水系的热处理液由于冷却性能较油系热处理液高,因而容易发生冷却不均,可能产生淬火裂痕。
因此,已知有为了防止淬火裂痕而将水溶性聚合物添加于水系热处理液的组合物。这种水系热处理液组合物中,水溶性聚合物附着于金属部件的表面,阻碍热传导,抑制冷却性能。添加有水溶性聚合物的水系热处理液组合物已在工业上普及,作为水溶性聚合物,聚亚烷基二醇(PAG)是主流。但这种水系热处理液组合物的蒸汽膜阶段长,因此具有容易引起冷却不均的缺点。
所以提出了通过在高分子量的聚亚烷基二醇中添加低分子量的二醇来缩短蒸汽膜段階、提高耐冷却不均性能的水系热处理液组合物(参照专利文献1)。此外,还提出了在水溶性的聚氧亚烷基衍生物中含有羧酸或磺酸的碱金属盐的水系热处理液(参照专利文献2)。
另一方面,作为提高耐冷却不均性能的技术,自古以来已知有利用盐水的淬火。盐水没有蒸汽膜阶段,因而具有高冷却性能并且耐冷却不均性能高、淬火裂痕少(参照非专利文献1)。

发明要解决的问题
然而,专利文献1、2的水系热处理液的冷却速度并不充分。这被认为是由于其具有淬火裂痕危险区域缓慢冷却这一接近油系淬火油特点的目的的缘故。另一方面,非专利文献1的盐水在热处理后1小时以内这一极短时间内会生锈,对油槽等设备的腐蚀也显著,因而在工业上基本无法使用。
本发明的目的在于提供具有高冷却性能、并且作为冷却对象的金属材料不易发生腐蚀的水系冷却剂。
用于解决问题的方法
为了接近上述课题,本发明提供如下所述的水系冷却剂。
(1)水系冷却剂,其特征在于,配合有磷酸盐、亚磷酸盐、硫酸盐、亚硫酸盐、硼酸盐、钼酸盐、钨酸盐、碳酸盐、碳酸氢盐、和倍半碳酸盐中的任1种以上的无机酸盐。
(2)上述水系冷却剂,其特征在于,所述无机酸盐是无机酸的金属盐。
(3)上述水系冷却剂,其特征在于,所述无机酸盐是钠盐、钾盐、钙盐、和镁盐中的至少任一者。
(4)上述水系冷却剂,其特征在于,以该冷却剂总量为基准,所述无机酸盐的配合量为1质量%以上且20质量%以下。
(5)上述水系冷却剂,其特征在于,所述磷酸盐是正磷酸盐、磷酸氢盐、磷酸二氢盐、多磷酸盐、和偏磷酸盐中的至少任一者。
(6)上述水系冷却剂,其特征在于,其为淬火油或切削油。
根据本发明,可提供具有极高的冷却性能、并且作为冷却对象的金属材料不易发生腐蚀的水系冷却剂。
具体实施方式
本发明的水系冷却剂(以下,有时简称为“本冷却剂”)是配合有规定无机酸盐的水溶液。以下进行详细说明。
作为本冷却剂中所用的无机酸盐,可举出:磷酸盐、亚磷酸盐、硫酸盐、亚硫酸盐、硼酸盐、钼酸盐、钨酸盐、碳酸盐(排除碳酸钙)、碳酸氢盐、和倍半碳酸盐等。它们可以单独使用,也可以混合使用。
上述无机酸盐之中,从冷却效果的观点出发,更优选磷酸盐。作为磷酸盐,可以是正磷酸盐、磷酸氢盐、磷酸二氢盐、多磷酸盐、和偏磷酸盐中的任一者。作为多磷酸盐,可举出:二磷酸盐(焦磷酸盐)或三聚磷酸盐等。它们之中,从冷却效果的观点出发,优选焦磷酸盐。
这种无机酸盐优选为金属盐,具体可举出:钠盐、钾盐、钙盐、和镁盐等。它们之中,从冷却性的观点出发,更优选为钠盐、钾盐。
此外,作为本冷却剂中的pH,从防止腐败的观点出发,优选为7以上。
本冷却剂中的无机酸盐的优选配合量为1质量%以上且20质量%以下,更优选的配合量为3质量%以上且15质量%。无机酸盐的配合量小于1质量%时,冷却效果有可能变得不充分。另一方面,无机酸盐的配合量即使超过20质量%也无法期待相应程度的冷却效果的提高。
本冷却剂中,可以根据需要进一步配合水溶性防锈剂或金属腐蚀防止剂。
水溶性防锈剂的配合量,从防锈性能的提高和经济性的平衡等方面出发,以本冷却剂总量为基准,优选为0.01质量%以上且5质量%以下、更优选为0.03质量%以上且1质量%以下。作为这种水溶性防锈剂,可举出:辛酸盐等脂肪族单羧酸盐、或辛二酸(suberic acid)盐、癸二酸(sebacic acid)盐等脂肪族二羧酸盐,例如可优选使用癸二酸钾等。应予说明,水溶性防锈剂可以是芳香族羧酸盐。此外,作为水溶性防锈剂,还可优选使用单羟基单乙基哌嗪等哌嗪衍生物等。
作为金属腐蚀防止剂,可优选使用苯并三唑系化合物、苯并咪唑系化合物、苯并噻唑系化合物、和苯并噻二唑系化合物等。它们可以单独使用,也可以混合使用。
本文中,苯并三唑系化合物意指苯并三唑本身或其衍生物。对于苯并咪唑系化合物、苯并噻唑系化合物、和苯并噻二唑系化合物也相同。例如,作为苯并三唑系化合物,可举出苯环上取代有烷基的烷基苯并三唑、以及氨基氢被烷基取代的(烷基)氨基烷基苯并三唑等。作为这种金属腐蚀防止剂的配合量,以本冷却剂总量为基准,优选为0.01质量%以上且1质量%以下、更优选为0.1质量%以上且0.7质量%以下。金属腐蚀防止剂的配合量小于0.01质量%时,金属腐蚀防止效果有可能变得不充分。另一方面,金属腐蚀防止剂的配合量即使超过1质量%,也无法期待相应程度的金属腐蚀防止效果的提高。
本冷却剂中,可以进一步配合通用的添加剂,例如抗氧化剂和清洁分散剂等。
本发明的冷却剂具备高冷却性能、且作为冷却对象的金属材料不易发生腐蚀,因而适合作为金属材料的淬火油或切削油。
实施例
接着,通过实施例、比较例更详细地说明本发明,但本发明不受这些实例的任何限制。
[实施例1~13、比较例1~8]
如表1所示,将各种添加剂(无机酸盐等)溶解于离子交换水中,制备水系冷却剂,作为试样液。添加剂的浓度若无特别指出则均设为以试样液为基准的10质量%。实施例12、13中,追加了刚好表1中记载的量的碳酸氢钠。
将各试样液保持于50℃,依照JISK2242B法进行冷却试验,测定特性秒
数。具体地,测定冷却曲线中到达蒸汽膜阶段结束的温度(特性温度)为止的时间(秒数)。结果示于表1。应予说明,各种水溶液的pH也一并记载于表1。

1)添加剂浓度设为5质量%。 
2)无添加剂。 
3)添加了30质量%的碳原子数为9的羧酸的胺盐(具有碳原子数为8的烷基的羧酸与三乙醇胺的盐)。
[评价结果]
由表1的结果可知,由于本发明的水系冷却剂是规定的无机酸盐的水溶液,因而特性秒数均非常短、冷却性能极高。而且,由于不具有卤素之类的腐蚀性因子,因而不可能对金属材料产生腐蚀。因此,可以理解对金属材料的淬火或切削极其有效。
通常,水在液温达到30℃以上时冷却性会急剧降低,无法进行淬火。本发明的水系冷却剂在50℃的液温下也发挥优异的冷却性能,因而值得一提。
与之相对,完全没有添加本发明规定的无机酸盐的比较例1的离子交换水的冷却性能并不充分。此外,即使添加无机酸的盐与本发明的无机酸盐不同的盐、或添加有机酸的盐,冷却性能也无法提高。此外,比较例7、8的添加剂由于具有卤素,因而冷却性能高但却在腐蚀性方面有问题。
产业实用性
本发明的冷却剂具备高冷却性能、且作为冷却对象的金属材料不易发生腐蚀,因而可作为金属材料的淬火油或切削油来利用。

Claims (6)

1. 水系冷却剂,其特征在于,配合有磷酸盐、亚磷酸盐、硫酸盐、亚硫酸盐、硼酸盐、钼酸盐、钨酸盐、碳酸盐、碳酸氢盐、和倍半碳酸盐中的任1种以上的无机酸盐。
2. 权利要求1所述的水系冷却剂,其特征在于,所述无机酸盐为无机酸的金属盐。
3. 权利要求2所述的水系冷却剂,其特征在于,所述无机酸盐为钠盐、钾盐、钙盐、和镁盐的至少任一者。
4. 权利要求1至3中任一项所述的水系冷却剂,其特征在于,以该冷却剂总量为基准,所述无机酸盐的配合量为1质量%以上且20质量%以下。
5. 权利要求1至4中任一项所述的水系冷却剂,其特征在于,所述磷酸盐为、正磷酸盐、磷酸氢盐、磷酸二氢盐、多磷酸盐、和偏磷酸盐中的至少任一者。
6. 权利要求1至5中任一项所述的水系冷却剂,其特征在于,其为淬火油或切削油。
