背景技术
由市场上已知具有高压燃料系统的内燃机,例如柴油或汽油活塞发动机。高压燃料系统又包括燃料高压泵,通过燃料高压泵从燃料容器吸出燃料并且在高压下将燃料输送到一个或多个喷射器。作为燃料高压泵通常使用柱塞泵,该柱塞泵在低压侧例如具有齿轮泵或叶片泵或者由这种泵供给。
这种泵的至少一个在运行中活动的部件、例如齿轮(在齿轮泵的情况下)或者转子(在叶片泵的情况下)侧向地贴靠在燃料泵的壳体区域上,因此所述活动部件在运行中在该壳体区域上沿着滑动。由于重量的原因,已知的燃料高压泵的壳体部分地由铝制成。为了保证所述在运行中活动的部件沿着滑动的那些壳体区域具有足够的耐磨性,这些也被称为“滑动面”的壳体区域例如由钢或灰铸铁制成。
发明内容
按照本发明提出了一种燃料泵,所述燃料泵具有一壳体和至少一个至少间接地贴靠在壳体区域上的且在运行中活动的部件,其中,所述燃料泵包括一覆层,所述覆层在所述壳体区域的面向所述活动部件的一侧涂覆在所述壳体区域上,并且,所述覆层包括塑料,所述塑料是热塑性塑料,所述热塑性塑料通过纤维强化,至少在其上涂覆有所述覆层的所述壳体区域的材料包括铝或者是铝,所述覆层的一个区域被构造成密封区域,所述密封区域与所述壳体的另一个区域配合,其中,所述密封区域包括环绕的密封凸起或环绕的密封唇。
本发明的目的是实现一种燃料高压泵,该燃料高压泵在成本低且结构空间需求小的情况下具有长的使用寿命。
该目的通过具有上述技术方案特征的燃料高压泵实现。在下述说明中给出有利的扩展方案。此外,在下面的说明书和附图中存在对于本发明重要的特征。在此,这些特征不仅单独地而且以不同的组合对于本发明都是重要的,对此没有分别详细地论述。
按照本发明设置的覆层是特别耐磨损的并因此尤其适合于非常好地作为相应的泵类型的旋转部件(例如齿轮或转子)的滑动面。通过省去例如由钢或灰铸铁或类似物(例如铝/镍或阳极氧化铝)制成的单独的滑动面而简化了制造,这导致节省成本。此外,通过省去由钢或灰铸铁制成的作为滑动面的垫板而降低了结构空间需求,也就是说燃料高压泵也具有相对小的尺寸。此外,如果由塑料制成的覆层被直接涂覆在壳体区域上,而不使用经覆层的垫板作为活动部件的滑动面,则省去了对外的密封面,这简化了结构,降低了成本并提高了运行可靠性。
本发明的第一扩展方案规定,所述塑料是热塑性塑料、尤其是聚醚醚酮。这种材料是特别耐磨损的并因此有助于塑料高压泵的高使用寿命。
通过纤维、尤其是碳纤维强化所述热塑性塑料,则能够再次强化所述优点。
至少在其上涂覆有覆层的壳体区域的材料可以包括铝或是铝。铝是可比较容易加工的,这降低了制造成本。此外,铝具有轻的重量,从而使燃料高压泵的重量很小。通过按照本发明设置的由塑料制成的覆层还将磨损保持在很小的程度并且保证在很大程度上由铝制成的燃料高压泵的高使用寿命。
特别有利的是按照本发明的燃料高压泵的这样一种扩展方案,在该扩展方案中所述覆层的一个区域被构造成密封区域,该密封区域与壳体的另一个区域配合。按照本发明设置的由塑料制成的覆层在这种情况下满足双重功能:该覆层除了减小磨损的功能外还满足密封功能。因此,无需单独的密封装置(例如通过O形环)以及与其相关的由设置相应的O形环而引起的切削加工。由此也简化了结构,易于组装,减少了故障源等。
所述密封区域可以包括环绕的密封凸起或环绕的密封唇。这种设计形式可以通过常见的塑料、尤其是通过热塑性塑料容易地制造并且保证了即便高压差下的可靠密封。
由塑料制成的覆层的一种简单制造在于,将所述覆层熔化在所述壳体区域上。
还可能的是,在其上涂覆有覆层的壳体区域包括相对薄的支撑板,该支撑板固定在另一个壳体区域上,优选地与所述另一个壳体区域粘接。这能够在特殊的应用场合中根据所述壳体区域的和/或待密封的区域的有时复杂的几何形状因人而异地且可靠地实现所述结构。

具体实施方式
在图1中,用于活塞内燃机的燃料系统整体上以附图标记10表示。该燃料系统包括燃料容器12,一燃料高压泵14将燃料从该燃料容器输送到高压燃料储存器16(“轨”)。在轨16上连接有多个喷射器18,这些喷射器18将燃料直接喷射到内燃机的与这些喷射器适配的(未示出的)燃烧室中。
所述燃料高压泵14在低压侧包括一齿轮泵15。在未示出的实施例中,所述燃料高压泵在低压侧也可以包括叶片泵或任何其它适合的泵型。该燃料高压泵14连同低压侧的齿轮泵15一起直接地且机械地被内燃机驱动。在一种未示出的实施例中,低压侧的齿轮泵也可以配备单独的驱动装置、例如电机。
在图2中示出燃料高压泵14的齿轮泵15的区域,但是以这样一种状态示出,在该状态中取下了在正常运行中存在的壳体盖。可以看到制成铸件的壳体20,该壳体在各个不同的位置上被切削加工并且包含燃料高压泵14的机械的和流体的部件。所述壳体20由铝制成。壳体区域22被加工成平的面。该壳体区域22用作两个齿轮24和26的滑动面,这两个齿轮在燃料高压泵14和齿轮泵15的运行中反向地旋转。所述齿轮24和26也是在运行中活动的部件,这些活动部件至少间接地贴靠在平的壳体区域22上。

Claims (5)
