Abstract

技术领域
本发明涉及吸入设备。更具体而言,涉及的吸入设备是用于喷射药剂、芳香剂、烟碱或某些其它有香味物质的微滴并使得使用者吸入它们。
背景技术
我们的社会正在老龄化,这是因为近年来医药和科学的进步实现了更长的平均寿命。另一方面,由于生存环境和饮食习惯的改变,环境污染和病毒及微生物的新变种,已发现有新的疾病和传染病,使得人们很担心健康问题。特别是,在所谓的发达国家中,患有与生活方式相关的疾病,包括糖尿病和高血压患者的数量增加,给社会带来了一系列问题。
例如,糖尿病患者需要配给胰岛素。传统上,在每餐后给糖尿病患者注射胰岛素是常规做法。通过注射的方法配给胰岛素会在患者的局部产生疼痛。为了解决这个问题,已经讨论过通过患者的呼吸系统给药。迄今已知通常有三种给药技术。它们包括使用定量吸入器、使用干粉吸入器和使用雾化器。
定量吸入器(MDIs)被广泛应用于治疗哮喘。MDI设置有阀门,用于在操作中喷射出一定剂量的气雾剂。虽然每个剂量可以有很大程度的变化,但该设备的主体可以做成小巧的尺寸以便携带。此外,要求MDI的使用者以非常同步的方式操作阀门和吸入药剂,而很多使用者感觉同步操作MDI困难而且麻烦。
干粉吸入器(DPI)的使用者需要吸入大量的空气,以便能以足够的流动程度将干粉有效地施加于使用者的支气管系统内部。虽然干粉吸入器可能没有上述的使阀门操作和药剂吸入同步的问题,但是对于干粉吸入器的使用者来讲吸入大量空气是很大的负担。
此外,对湿气和被吸入粉末敏感的患者不能使用DPI,因为患者会突然阵发哮喘。另外,由于吸入空气的力量因人而异,所以剂量也会因人而异。
雾化器适于通过载体气流雾化液体来产生气雾剂。其需要持续工作的气体压缩机或大量的压缩气体供其运作。总的来讲,气雾剂微滴的尺寸是压力和载体气体速度的函数,因此不易于独立改变气流中药剂的浓度。此外,在患者吸入雾化液体时,雾化器喷嘴内的压力下降。换句话说,剂量和药剂的微粒尺寸受每次呼吸动作的周期和强度的影响。
因此,上述的已知设备伴随的问题为,对患者身体的正确部位施加正确微粒大小的药剂的正确剂量的精确度低。也就是说,它们只能用于在剂量上表现出很大容许偏差的药剂。无论如何,目前只是依赖使用者的技术来对正确的部位施加正确的剂量。
另一方面,有对改进的药物供给系统的需求,该药物供给系统能够用于通过只在局部发挥作用的药剂最佳地治疗鼻部疾病和肺部疾病。此外,已经证明作为近些年来医药进步的结果,如果与传统给药技术例如口服给药和注射对比,对肺部施用象蛋白质、肽或止痛剂这样的药剂是有利的。然而,已知的吸入器却不能用于这样的施药,因为它们伴随有可变微粒大小和可变剂量的问题。
将通过示例对这些问题进行更详细的说明。对于目前数量不断增长,患有胰岛素依赖糖尿病,也称为I型糖尿病的糖尿病患者,不能从胰腺分泌胰岛素,因而不得不对他们定期供给胰岛素。目前,胰岛素的给药是通过皮下注射实现的,对患者施加了很大的身体和精神负担。设计成使用很细的针头的笔型注射器已经开发出来以极大地减轻患者局部的疼痛。然而,很多患有I型糖尿病的患者象健康人群一样工作,除了不得不定期对他们供给胰岛素,而对于这样的患者,当他或她处于公开场合,如果注射器是笔型的,通过注射器给他或她自己注射胰岛素在精神上将会有障碍。
因此,就需要通过患者他或她自己供给药剂的简易方法,该方法不涉及注射器的使用但是能够以微滴的形式喷出药剂并促使它们可靠地到达肺部。
最近,已经提出的方法为,在布置于喷射头部分(喷射部分)的气泡喷射器或压电元件的作用下,将生理效用药剂以预定量的适当大小微滴从排出孔通过衔嘴或类似物喷射到要被吸入的气流中(见国际公开WO95/01137和国际公开WO02/04043)。
发明内容
所提出的设备使得可以喷射均一大小的微滴。然而,由于所述设备的喷射头部分直接受到负压的影响,该负压是作为吸入时的压差而由大气压产生的,因此液体也可以在吸入时从喷孔泄漏。当液体泄漏时,其不能变成适当大小的微滴,因而液体不再从阻塞的喷孔中喷出。那么,就不可能喷射出预定量的微滴。此外,喷射头部分直接受到负压的影响从而缩短了喷射头部分的使用寿命。因此,所提出的设备很难得到实际应用。
考虑到上面确认的问题,提供一种由使用者使用以便从其吸入口吸入液体药剂的吸入设备就因此成为本发明的目的,所述设备包括:液体药剂喷射部分,其具有喷射口,用于将液体药剂作为微滴喷射;和压力检测部分,用于检测作为在使用者吸入时的压差而由大气压产生的负压,其目的在于控制来自喷射口的微滴的喷射;液体药剂喷射部分的喷射口,其布置的位置为,在该位置产生的压差小于在吸入时由压力检测部分检测出的与大气压的压差。
在本发明的另一方面,提供了一种衔嘴,其可拆卸地安装在依据本发明的吸入设备上,在吸入口和外部空气入口之间形成用于气流的流道,所述衔嘴包括:压力缓解装置,布置在流道的中途以缓解喷射部分的负压;用于接纳要被布置在其中的压力检测部分的部件(例如,与负压传感器相通的连通孔,将在下文予以说明),该部件被布置成比压力缓解装置更靠近吸入口;和用于接纳要被布置在其中的液体药剂喷射部分的喷射口的部件(例如,液体药剂入口,将在下文予以说明),该部件被布置成比压力缓解装置更靠近外部空气入口侧。

因此,依据本发明,由于液体药剂喷射部分的喷射口被布置的位置为,在该位置上与大气压的压差小于在吸入时由压力检测部分检测出的压差,因此源自喷射部分的液体泄漏的危险被最小化并进而最小化液体泄漏对喷射部分使用寿命的不利影响。

具体实施方式
现在将描述本发明的优选实施例。依据本发明的吸入设备或吸入器的实施例被设计成由使用者携带。其包括记忆装置用于储存使用者的个人信息,包括使用者的医疗表和医疗处方上的信息。其被设计成以预定量喷出液体药剂微滴,从而让使用者吸入药剂。微滴在尺寸上高度均一。以此实施例,使用者可以将衔嘴和喷射头盒(CRG)单元放入吸入器主体中,所述衔嘴具有吸入口,使用者通过该吸入口可吸入液体药剂。喷头盒单元包括容纳有药剂的容器并适于将容器供给的药剂作为微滴喷射。这样,使用者能够根据处方提供的信息高效地并卫生地吸入液体药剂。
用于在整个吸入器中生成气流的流道仅由衔嘴形成。衔嘴在其半路被设置有狭窄部分,该狭窄部分起压力缓解装置的作用。压力检测部分布置在比狭窄部分更接近使用者的位置(在靠近吸入口侧)以便检测那里的压力,CRG单元的喷射部分布置在比狭窄部分更接近外部空气吸入口的位置。当高于预定水平的负压(例如,高于-0.3kPa(或绝对值大于0.3))被施加在喷射头部分时,液体药剂可通过喷射口流出而阻塞喷射口。那么,此后液体药剂将不能正确喷射。然而,狭窄部分防止喷射头部分直接受到当使用者吸入液体药剂时产生的负压,从而微滴从喷射头部分的喷射口持续并顺畅地喷出。也就是说,喷射部分的喷射口被布置的位置为,在该位置上吸入时产生的与大气压的压差使得液体药剂依靠由大气压产生的负压不会从喷射口自然喷出,从而药剂微滴被顺畅喷出。液体药剂的微滴可以任何操作方式喷出,只要它们通过喷孔喷射。例如,热能、压电能或由加压液体产生的能量可用于通过喷孔喷射微滴。然而,使用喷墨系统是更可取的,该系统可以是气泡喷射系统或压电喷射系统。当使用喷墨系统时,液体通过喷嘴的毛细作用力由暴露于大气中的容器供给,因而环境压力需要被确认处于一范围内,该范围允许容器产生的负压和喷射口的弯液面相互间能够良好平衡。由此来看,使用本发明的布置是很有效的。
如图8所示,当压力检测部分检测出预定水平的负压时,来自喷射口的喷射操作开始起动。然而,压力检测部分检测的最低负压需要加以适当限定,因为作为吸入的结果而在压力检测部分中产生的负压会因人而异,并且通常与肺活量相关。考虑到儿童和老年人具有相对较小的肺活量,狭窄部分的横截面积优选地限定成大约10mm2,从而负压可高于-0.5kPa(或绝对值大于0.5)。那么,压力检测部分就可以准确观测吸入导致的负压的变化(如图8所示的吸入曲线)。
因为用于在整个吸入器中形成气流的流道只由衔嘴形成,所以气流部分仅在衔嘴的流道内被液体药剂沾染。也就是说,只要通过清洗衔嘴就可使吸入器内部保持安全和卫生。
当典型地依据吸入量(也就是根据由压力检测部分检出的如图8所示的吸入曲线的变化)改变某些或所有与液体药剂喷射相关的参数(喷射速度、喷射时间等)来使更多的液体药剂被带入使用者肺部时,吸入效率可以提高。当依据本发明的吸入器装配有喷射控制装置时,其中该喷射控制装置适于根据由负压传感器在使用者吸入液体药剂的预定时间段内检测出的吸入流速的变化(负压的变化)来改变某些或所有与液体药剂喷射相关的参数,所述吸入器可另外设置指示装置,当使用者不能在预定时间段内吸入预定量的液体药剂时该指示装置运行,从而指示使用者,他或她需要再次吸入液体药剂。这样的实施例易于使用,因为其最小化了需要由使用者完成的烦琐操作。因此,这样的实施例可以被任何人在任何地点使用。
依据本发明方法的吸入设备可以可替代地以下述方式构造。
阀门可以被用作压力缓解装置,该阀门除了在设备用于吸入操作时之外,恒定并充分地封闭气流的流道。其次,压力检测部分被布置在比阀门更靠近吸入口的位置,并且喷射部分的喷射口被布置在阀门的相对侧。当设备被操作用于吸入时,已经关闭的阀门开始开启。然后,负压在以稍微延迟的时间到达位于吸入口相对侧的喷射部分的喷射口之前被缓解,从而阀门起到压力缓解装置的作用。
还可替代的是,可以将压力检测部分和喷射部分的喷射口布置成面对来自吸入口的相应的流道。采用这种布置,一个流道在吸入口具有出口,吸入口围绕流道的出口形成以显示出与人的嘴部外形相似的外廓并具有形成另一流道的部分。压力检测部分(带有与负压传感器相通的连通孔)面对所述另一流道布置。
还可替代的是,依据本发明的吸入器可设置有利用负压传感器监控吸入量(也就是说,监控如图8所示的吸入曲线)并通过闪动LED或通过改变振动马达的振动模式来指示使用者吸入量是否适当的装置。进一步,吸入器包括用于指示使用者从吸入开始的吸入时间段和吸入应该何时停止的装置。关于指示吸入时间段的装置,可使用利用振动马达振动的装置。
因此,具有任何上述构造的依据本发明的吸入设备能够减轻施加在患者(使用者)身体上和精神上的负担,并使患者能够轻松的吸入(液体)药剂。因而,依据本发明的吸入设备能够根据处方准确控制患者吸入药剂的行为,并且可比以前供给更多的药剂到肺部以提高吸入效率,从而通过根据患者吸入的药剂量改变与液体药剂喷射相关的参数来高效地供给药剂。
现在,将参考附图更详细地说明本发明,附图示出了本发明的优选实施例。
实施例1

衔嘴出口(吸入口)15形成于衔嘴4与空气入口11相对的端部以便呈现出适于保持在使用者口内的外形。衔嘴出口15呈现出与人的嘴部形状相匹配的椭圆形横截面。衔嘴4的内部具有双重结构,流道出口14被形成以使液体药剂能够从该内部通过。流道出口14被形成为呈现出使其横截面积逐渐增大的外形,因为如果出口横截面积突然增加,空气和液体药剂的混合流体会陡然扩张而粘附在将衔嘴出口15含在他或她口中的使用者的有些牙齿上。因此,建议使用者在将衔嘴出口15含在口中的时候,让流道出口14的端部稍微越过他或她的牙齿。流道出口14的端部可以被形成为稍微向外延伸超出衔嘴出口15的端部,因而使用者能够轻松地让流道出口14的端部越过牙齿。如图1和2所示,衔嘴4的气流通道呈现出矩形横截面,因而衔嘴4能够以空气入口11可靠地向上指向的状态安装在壳体中。

现在,将参考图8说明具有上述构造的此实施例的吸入操作。
当使用者开始吸入并且由负压传感器19检测出的负压(与吸入速度或流速相关)达到允许发生液体药剂喷射的水平时,吸入器在控制基板21的控制下开始从CRG单元6的头部分8喷出液体药剂,并且振动马达18同时开始振动以告知使用者吸入器开始喷射液体药剂。在来自头部分8的预定量的喷射结束后,振动马达18在补充吸入时间继续保持振动,该补充吸入时间是根据吸入速度和由负压传感器19的负压值计算出的连续吸入时间确定的,目的是促使使用者吸入补充吸入量,并从而使喷出的液体药剂可以完全到达肺部。当振动马达18停止振动时,使用者或患者停止吸入液体药剂。采用这种布置,喷射液体药剂的过程和吸入的过程是相互联锁的,因此液体药剂被可靠地送入肺部从而避免不充分吸入的错误。
作为使用者吸入行为的结果,空气被从空气入口11送入衔嘴4中以生成空气和液体药剂的混合流体,该液体药剂从布置在CRG单元6的头部分8中的喷射口喷出。混合流体随后被引导到衔嘴出口15,衔嘴出口15具有适于含在使用者口中的外形。衔嘴出口15适于防止混合流体通过嘴部的横向末端泄漏,从而使混合流体的浪费最小化,并且使得混合流体很难碰到口中的障碍物,例如牙齿,因此液体药剂可以被高效地吸入使用者的体内。
此实施例设置有振动马达18,这是因为使用者可能不想让别人知道他或她使用吸入器,因而作为告知方法振动可能比声音对使用者更优选。因此,采用这种布置,此实施例可以由任何人在任何地点使用。
下面将参考图9的流程图来说明吸入设备整个操作的示例。在电源开关101打开时,进口盖2的开启或关闭状态被检测(S801)。如果进口盖2是开启的,使用者为此受到警告,一般是通过显示LED102。如果它是关闭的,然后其被检测CRG单元6是否安装(S802)。在示例中,如果CRG单元6未安装,蓝牙通讯开始启动(S803)以与使用者交换数据,包括对使用者给药量的数据(S804)。当通讯完成时操作结束(S805)。这种操作模式主要由使用者的医生使用。
另一方面,如果CRG单元6已安装,操作以下述方式进行。这种操作模式主要由患者或使用者使用。当使用者开始吸入(S806)并且吸入被检测到时,当负压达到预定水平时被负压传感器19检测出(S807)。然后,喷射头部分8开始喷射液体药剂(S808)。如果没有检测出负压达到预定水平,就会发出提示使用者更用力吸入的警报。
在喷射开始后液体药剂会喷射预定时间段,从而可喷出预定量的液体药剂。所述量是根据吸入设备读入的数据确定的。随后,负压传感器19监控由于吸入引起的负压随时间的变化,并且吸入设备根据随时间所述变化的积分值来检测是否已经吸入预定量(S809)。开始积分的时间可以适当选择。由于积分值与空气和液体药剂混合流体的吸入量相关,因此其相当于检测液体药剂是否已经被吸入预定量。当液体药剂已经被吸入预定量时操作终止。然后,振动马达18停止振动。如果在经过预定时间段后没有检测到已经吸入预定量的液体药剂,一般会通过振动马达18的振动模式的改变对使用者发出警报,以便提示使用者再次吸入液体药剂(S806)。在这种情况下,要吸入量的量短缺被计算出来(S810),并且要从喷射头部分8喷出的液体药剂的量、吸入时间段(或者振动马达18的振动时间段)和其它必要的数值被相应地计算确定。
由于液体药剂喷射部分的喷射口可靠地布置在适当位置,在上述实施例中,在该位置上与大气压的压差小于由压力检测部分在吸入时间检测出的压差,源自喷射部分的液体泄漏的危险被最小化,进而使得在喷射部分的使用期内泄漏液体的不利影响最小化。更进一步,通过简单的操作使液体药剂以预定量被可靠而高效地提供给使用者。
实施例2
图10是本发明实施例2的示意性剖视图,该实施例与实施例1的不同之处仅在于流道通向压力检测部分(与负压传感器19连通的连通孔13)的构造。在实施例2中,连通孔13设置在衔嘴出口15的流道出口14的外侧,该衔嘴出口15位于衔嘴4的前端。采用这种布置,通向负压传感器19的负压检测流道与衔嘴4的气流通道完全分离并设置成平行于衔嘴4的气流通道。当衔嘴4从设备的上表面和前表面安装在设备中时,安装方向与连通孔13紧密靠近通向负压传感器19的负压检测流道的方向一致。因此,这种布置有利于防止空气泄漏。那么,负压能可靠地被检测。此外,由于通向负压传感器19的负压检测流道和液体药剂流道完全相互分开,负压检测流道会被液体药剂最小地污染从而确保高度准确的负压检测。在其它方面,实施例2与实施例1相同。
实施例3
图11A和11B示出了实施例3,其包括不同于实施例1中狭窄流道的压力缓解装置。具有与衔嘴4的流道横截面积大致相同尺寸的阀门30被可旋转地布置在通向负压传感器19的连通孔13和在衔嘴4的流道中接收喷射头部分8的液体药剂入口12之间。由于阀门30如图11A所示被做成与阀门止动件31邻接,阀门30被恒定地保持在基本关闭流道的状态,。当使用者开始吸入操作时,阀门30开启,如图11B所示。虽然此时在负压传感器19侧的流道空间中产生相当强的负压,但这样强的负压并不在喷射头部分8侧的流道空间中产生。因此,最终结果将与实施例的相同。在其它方面,实施例3与实施例1相同。
本发明并不局限于上述实施例,在本发明的宗旨和范围内可以做出各种变化和修改。因此,为将本发明的范围告知公众,给出了下面的权利要求。
本申请要求了于2004年8月2日提交的日本专利申请No.2004-225510的优先权,该申请引入于此作为参考。
Claims (2)
1.一种吸入设备,由使用者使用以便从该吸入设备的吸入口吸入液体药剂,所述设备包括:
流道,用于通过使用者的吸入行为形成气流,所述流道在其第一端部具有吸入口并在其第二端部具有空气入口;
压力检测部分,用于检测由于使用者的吸入行为而在流道中产生的负压,所述压力检测部分经由连通孔与所述流道连通;以及
液体药剂喷射部分,该喷射部分具有喷射口并且适于响应由压力检测部分检测出的负压来利用热能或压电能喷射液体药剂,
其特征在于,
所述流道具有布置在从吸入口到空气入口的中途的一压力缓解装置,所述压力缓解装置的形式为具有缩小的横截面面积的狭窄部分或者适于在吸入过程中开启的阀门,
所述喷射部分被布置在比所述狭窄部分或所述阀门更靠近空气入口的位置处,以及
所述连通孔被布置在流道中比所述狭窄部分或所述阀门更靠近吸入口的位置处。
2.一种吸入设备,由使用者使用以便从该吸入设备吸入口吸入液体药剂,所述设备包括:
流道,通过使用者的吸入行为形成气流,所述流道在其第一端部具有吸入口并在其第二端部具有空气入口;以及
液体药剂喷射部分,该喷射部分具有喷射口并且适于利用热能或压电能喷射液体药剂,
其特征在于,
所述流道具有布置在从吸入口到空气入口的中途的一压力缓解装置,所述压力缓解装置的形式为具有缩小的横截面面积的狭窄部分或者适于在吸入过程中开启的阀门,
所述喷射部分被布置在比所述狭窄部分或所述阀门更靠近空气入口的位置处。
