Weft-breaker control device for automatic changing of bobbins in looms. The object of the present invention is a weft-breaker control device for the automatic changing of bobbins in looms, characterized in that it comprises a crank shaft actuated by the lower shaft of the loom at the same. speed than the latter and which carries two eccentrics, one of which actuates at least one weft breaker and the other imparts an axial reciprocating movement to as many rods kept constantly applied against it,
that the first eccentric actuates of the weft breaker, each rod running empty as long as the fork of a weft breaker. corresponding, is pushed back by the weft, and being displaced in parallel IL itself by said weft breaker, when the latter is operating, so as to be brought into position to then act on a control lever of a loader carrying out the introduction of a can in the corresponding shuttle of the loom.
The appended drawing shows schematically and by way of example only, an embodiment of the object of the invention applied to a loom for the manufacture of double weft fabrics with two superposed shuttles having a double breaking mechanism frame.

Fig. .5 is an end view of the double weft-breaking mechanism looking at FIG. 1 from right to left, from section line 1-ï; Fig. 6 is an end view of a detail of the double weft-breaking mechanism taken looking from right to left in FIG. 1 from cut line Y-Y;
Fig. 7 is a front view looking from right to left in FIG. 5 showing the en # - mble of this double breaking mechanism. device shown comprises bare bent control shaft 1, disposed longitudinally relative to the loom and supported in bearings formed in the bpti 2 of the loom. This shaft 1 is driven in a continuous rotational movement by a connecting rod 3 (FIG. 1) set in motion by the lower shaft of the loom (not shown).
This mechanical connection is such that the shaft 1 and the lower shaft of the loom simultaneously describe a turn on themselves for two strokes of the clapper.
At both ends of the bent shaft 1, two eccentrics resp. 4 and 5. The first, 4, constantly actuates a lever 6 of the double breaker mechanism. The second. 5 activates the can changing mechanism, when under the action of the double weft-breaking mechanism, two control rods 22, 22 'of this change mechanism in contact with this eccentric are brought into position to act on two loader control levers 10, 10 '.
The oscillating lever 6 is pivoted at the frame 2 of the loom (fig. 6 and 7; and is subjected to the action of a return spring 6 ′ bearing against this frame. At its upper part this lever 6 carries two chins 8 and 8 'each intended to cooperate with the corresponding oven 9, 9' of the double weft-breaking mechanism, when the corresponding weft yarn fails or breaks. The bobbin loaders, described below are controlled by oscillating levers 10 and 10 'pivotally mounted side by side on the frame 2 by means of supports 11 and 11' at the ends of which they are articulated. These levers 10 and 10 'are subjected to the action of springs. recall 12 and 12 '.
By their upper ends these levers 10 and 10 ', act on two superimposed loaders 13 and 13', of known models, in which arrive the full cans placed in magazines 14 and 14 'opening above them. The loaders when they are actuated by the levers 10 and 10 'transport the full cans in the shuttles through side openings made in front of a double box 15, provided for this purpose. at the end of the leaf 16, the box in which the empty cans are rejected from the rear.
The chargers, as well as the magazines, could be of a known type such as those already used in the changes to. only one shuttle, a slight modification being however made to the upper loader 13 ', on the path of which the magazine 14 feeding the loader 13 is interposed. This modification (fig. 4) consists in giving the loader 13' the frame form 13 "surrounding the magazine 14, with sufficient play to allow its reciprocating movement with respect to this magazine. The gripping fork 13" 'is mounted on the side of the frame 13 "opposite to the actuating rod of the loader .
This fork allows the loader to grab the lower bobbin located in magazine 14 '.
The two forks 9 and 9 'of the double weft-breaking mechanism which each tilt under the action of its own weight so as to engage with the corresponding chin when the weft thread is broken or missing, are articulated at the upper end of two rods 17 and 17 '(Fig. 5 and 7) bent at right angles and mounted so as to be able to move forward.
For this purpose, each of these rods is supported by two rods 18, resp. two rods 18 '(fig. 5) which can slide in a support provided on the frame. These rods are provided with return springs which return the rods 17 and 17 'to their normal position after each operation.
When one of the forks is lowered under the action of its own weight and engages with the corresponding chin subjected to a reciprocating movement, the corresponding rod 17 or 17 'is moved parallel to itself and the wedge 19 or 19 'with which its lower end ends then comes wedged between a lateral part of the frame 2 and the end of a bar 20 or 20', able to slide longitudinally relative to the frame 2.
This bar then moves axially and comes out at the opposite end, which carries a sleeve 21 or 21 'in which slides one of the rods 22 or 22' actuated by the eccentric 5, with which they are constantly maintained. in contact by return spells, brings this rod into position to act on one of the oscillating levers 10 or 10 'of the loaders 13 and 13'.
The operation of the device is as follows The shaft 1 being in constant rotation, causes the eccentrics 4 and 5 to turn in the same way. T1 each revolution of the eccentric 4, the lever fi describes two oscillations in opposite directions around the axis 7 as we saw above.
When everything is going normally, that is to say as long as the cans are not exhausted and as long as neither of the two weft threads is broken., The chin bars 8, 8 'carried by this lever 6 remain out of grip of the forks * 9, 9 'of the double-niecanisin of weft breaker. Nothing happens as a result.
However, if the thread of one of the bobbins breaks. or runs out, the fork 9, for example, no longer being supported, engages by its end in a loop in the chin 8, under the action of its own weight, and the lever 6 then drives in its recoil movement (until it reaches the position in which it is shown in fig. 6), the fork of the weft breaker engages and thus causes the advancement of the bent rod 17 and consequently that of evening corner 19 (fig. 1 and 2)
which is interposed between the frame 2 and the bar 20. The wedge in turn causes the longitudinal displacement of the sleeve 21 which brings its rod subjected to it native alter movement 22 in the vertical plane of the loader control lever 10 13. L 'eccentric 5, which acts constantly on the rod 22, by making it slide in either sleeve 21, then causes the lever 10 to oscillate through the intermediary of the rod 22, causing the feeder 13 to advance in the shuttle box 15 , movement of the loader which coincides with the advancement of the leaf 16.
The eccentric 5 continuing its rotational movement, the lever 10 and the rod 22 return to their primary position under the effect of their return springs, the bar 20 also having, under the action of its return spring, preceded this movement and resumed its original position, as soon as the said wedge 19 and the bent rod 17 are withdrawn, under the action of the return springs of the rods 18.
In the case where simultaneously, the wires of the two superimposed shuttles are broken, the operation which has just been seen for one of the shuttles is carried out simultaneously for both. The chin bars 8 and 8 'then simultaneously hook up the forks 9 and 9', thus simultaneously causing the longitudinal displacement of the two bars 20 and 20 'and the control of the levers 10 and 10' cl * aetiotiiiement of the loaders 1 ") and 13 ', by rods 22 and 22'. actuated by the eccentric 5.
In this example, ort has described a device with a double weft-breaking mechanism, including a loom for the manufacture of double-weft fabrics.
It goes without saying that the object of the invention also applies to ordinary single-breaker looms, or could be applied, if necessary, to looms with triple yes quadruple weft-breaking mechanism. The transmission between the lower shaft of the loom and the actuated crankshaft 1 takes place by means of a log, could be established by a chain passing over two wheels with chain of menia diameter,
wedged one on this shaft 1 and the other on the lower shaft of the loom, controlling the whips or sabers, which gives the crank shaft 1 also a complete rotation synchronous with that of the lower shaft of the trade for two strokes of the clapper.
