<Desc/Clms Page number 6>
<Desc/Clms Page number 7>

<Desc/Clms Page number 9>

<Desc/Clms Page number 11>
Le mouvement vertical, fournissant le jeu des boîtes à la bièle (29), suivant la fig. 23 au brevet principal, a été modifié ,d'une telle manière que la roue d'engrenage (61), fig. 37, com- porte quatre dents d'un plan ou côté et quatre dents opposés sur l'autre plan, les deux plans étant séparés deux centimètres envi- ron, et ayant un disque (62) sectionné par deux secteurs (63.) de façon à ce que la roue soit attachée au moyen du petit levier (64) et la pression du ressort (65), restant fixe en vertu de la sur- face (66) de la roue motrice (69);

Comme on l'a dit antérieurement, la fig. 38 montre la commune lisse d'appui métallique (29) charaotérisée, d'une façon differen- te à toutes autres, parce que tout le mécanisme est disposé au cen- tre du même ettoutes les articulations son en vue, par lequel on peut les graisser et nettoyer très facilement au moyen des overta- res et @. La section A montre la cavité à gauche pourvue d'une fente libre et plaine pour assujetir le tenseur;

The weaving loom according to the invention consists of a completely horizontal tracing (1) and a wooden stop cylinder set in motion by a horizontal eccentric, in which the knives are arranged, one on an upper plane , taken a, and the other on a lower plane B which loosens, according to is shown in fig. 4; the frame comprises stops 6-d serving to guide the knife so that the layer (1) has an entirely straight movement, according to fig. 3.
The binding mechanism is made up of a tracing for each of the beams, divided into two parts: the front part resting on the knife B and the rear part which carries the hook, which according to fig. , 1 takes knife A; the grip and loose movement is produced by a simple fixed hexagonal or octagonal cylinder, with rotary movement which can be done either to the right or to the left as is preferred, and which carries the simple threads which can form a pattern suitable for the fabric that we want to manufacture.
The innovation brought by this device is that of its continuous and perfect functioning, which comes from:
1.- The difference between the planes of the knives A and B, which allows a movement and effort entirely straight and centered, and all the more adapted to the knife A which by bringing the tracing to the hook towards the upper part of the first.
2. - Because, so that the tracing follows by moving in a horizontal and straight direction, the stops are arranged at the
<Desc / Clms Page number 6>
-above the slide with knives, which joined to the ratchet rollers that they carry, force the tracing to follow one direction while moving completely straight, thus avoiding that the wooden or iron stop of the net of the design is protruding.
3. - Because the cylinder is set in motion at the same moment when the knives have been closed by means of an irregular eccentric mounted on the main shaft of the loom.
In the fulcrum of the sickle and the sliding guide of the boxes, this device presents the innovation of being provided with an extension E supported up to the frame of the beater, and at the same time with a protrusion. F controlling the positive regulator on the right and the negative on the left, according to fig. 5.
The front knives A and B are located on the same plane, although they also have one upper and the other lower facilitating the centered force to raise the beam and make the connection.
The stops C - D are used to achieve the completely straight movement, thus preventing the layers from tilting to one side and wearing out by friction, as is the case in the trades with weave current.
The improvements made to the part, according to fig. 5, are determined by the security provided by the extension F, which can be fixed on the frame of the mixer, the passage regulator controlling the arm E so that its movement is dependent on that of the mixer, entirely, while until the invention they were fixed by means of two pressure bolts on the shaft.
The boxes are controlled by the box guide (5), which is provided with two adjustable studs to the underside of said boxes, being disposed on said studs with a sliding hand (6) also adjustable, with circle sectors which are placed at
<Desc / Clms Page number 7>
equal distance exactly at each box; the roller (7) will slide by the said sliding hand, and not coinciding with the circle sectors, causing the raising of the pawl (8) by means of the lever (9), avoiding the stopping of the sickle and in same temperature producing by means of the latch (10) the automatic stop of the loom.
The latch (11 is' shaped so that it serves for,. Stopping the loom before reaching the drummer at the end of his career, which makes it different from the current ones, because by beating it automatically stops by sliding, this sliding being produced by the shape of the part.
The lengthening (12) of the sickle puller controls when it starts to move to return the shuttles to the other end, the lever (13) which is attached by a leather strap to the opposite sickle, and therefore of the semicircular movement of the eccentric around its axis, this the lever produces a slow movement of the sickle so that it receives the shuttle cushioning the blow, which takes place in the same way way in the opposite side. This device makes unnecessary the use of the so-called rod, which always attracts the beater when the beater starts to move, so much if it has to receive the shuttle as on the contrary when it does not receive it, this: must having been corrected by means of the present invention.
The lever (14), placed behind the stop of the cleat, can be, scaled and set in motion by the stop (15), which is controlled by means of the eccentric (16), and when the boxes are disengaged, the top part separates the sufficient interval so that the box circulates freely and effortlessly, even though the cleat is worn and has unevenness produced by the head or point of the shuttle, thus avoiding the term "spans".
Figure 17 shows the electro-mechanical stop - chain assembly, when breaking a wire connects the "classics"
<Desc / Clms Page number 8>
(pads) to the electromagnet, moving the hook and releasing the rotary latch (18), which in turn releases the latch (1 @), and when the workpiece claw (52) passes the print - Me an advance movement, which benefits the pulling connected to the latch (10), which causes the automatic stopping of the loom as a consequence of the broken thread which produces paralisation.
The latch (18) captures this rotary movement and produces the opening of the circuit, preventing the current from passing, and this as long as the small tie rod (20) does not send it back to its original position.
Figs. 19, 20 and 21, represent the return mechanism, which is composed of two bodies: one on a bearing (21) and. (22) it is the pinion and friction shaft connected to an idler pulley (23) provided of trapezoidal cannels, an ordinary fork (24) and two pieces (25) which can be graduated adapted to the flywheel of the part (22), which, when the friction on the flywheel is gone, actuates by means of the pulling the two latches fixed (27) automatically braking the loom and stopping it.
The braking action acts on the part (28) by means of a common disengagement, which constitutes a remarkable advantage over the system of known looms, this improvement being due to the fact that it is subsequently mechanized. cast iron and, without the aid of keys, it can be mounted producing a rapid stop of the weaving loom, and the space is only limited by two bearings each of them disposed in one end of the shaft. '
Fig.
23 schematically represents the position and direction of the lifting movement of the boxes of the loom, a movement which is entirely vertical and by a single tie-rod, both for two boxes and for three, four, five and six boxes per side . the automatic change is produced by the contact effe killing when the weft is completed and leaves free a plate
<Desc / Clms Page number 9>
mounted on the shuttle bobbin; contact, in the weaving loom according to the invention, is made from below and in the center of the boxes and by means of 'two contacts for each pole according to (31) arranged on a piece of bakelite.
This contact is advantageous to any other because there is never a bankruptcy if the wire gets between the plate and a contact, since there is another.
Fig. 34 is a schematic elevation view, which allows the functional iodine of the contacts with the knives to be appreciated, and at the same time it can be seen that the ratchet rollers provided to the knives can be graduated.
We must apply a tracing paper for each beam, and we can arrange these in number of thirty between its dividing comb.
When the circuit is closed the electromagnet operates (31) producing the elevation of the lever (32) which releases the part (33), then placing the part (34) in contact with the (35) which is attached to the gearbox lifting shaft, and when the lifting is carried out acts on the (36) carrying it to the stop (37) connected to the crankshaft shaft, this causing a movement of the part (39) , which, by the fact of being connected by the adjustable tie-rod, makes it necessary to move the part (39) at the same time when the atteur is in its lower position and the boxes where the change takes place are in position high, and consequently the bobbin below the part (40) connected to the part (39) at the same time lowers the part (41)
provided with the hook advances and jumps to the immediate point of the bobbin-holder flywheel where it is retained by the part (42), and given that the part (41) in advancing makes a small part (43) descend. ) during the next pass the beater meets the adjustable stop (44), and the CAN HOLDER drum IS then placed in position to produce a new change, At the moment when the bobbin comes down meets the protrusion of the clutch located below the orifice outlet (45), de-

then braying the movement of the shear blade which cuts the weft of the outgoing bobbin at the same time as it prepares the exchange to the piece (35 and 36) twin and smooth,
deprived of the point of contact on the back that it carries following the fig 26-29, the levers being arranged (46 and 47) so, one to be able to grasp the weft which leaves and the other to accompany that which enters, thus avoiding the paralisation of the loom because the weft he does not touch the needles of the weft stopper, being returned to its original position when the boxes descend by two springs provided with sliding paths.
When disengagement of movement of the shear blade (48) is effected, the latter opens again so that it can be prepared to disengage the movement again when the loom boxes descend and meet the workpiece. (49) the lever (50). This mime process is reproduced on both sides on the part (49) with the lever (50). The tail of the piece (51) splits, in the set of three passes of one color and one pass of another, the piece (34) by means of a small strap, avoiding that the exchanged may have place in a vacuum.
This automatic exchange has the advantages of allowing the use of two colors in the weft in combination with each other, i.e. the true peak-peak, two and two, two and one. and three and one, ensuring that the color exchange is impassive, being able to elaborate the crepe fabric one. and one more surely by changing it Manually, as well as mixing it with a single weft with three shuttles one and one.
(52) is an arcal or dial of 470 mi.Limeters in length, controlled by a crankshaft of 180 in diameter, and a bièle of 13,130 millimeters in length provided for the threshing stroke; the bow is attached to the beater upright by means of two conical bolts in two per cent, passing its perimeter from the beater shaft in its lower position, to the upper bolts and those which are mounted on the bièle, through the center of the
<Desc / Clms Page number 11>
crankshaft, the following is shown in the drawing, this crankshaft having the advantage of having the maximum retention point to pass the shuttle freely afterwards.
(53) represents the biel which transmits the movement to the binding machine, being the rod (54) sliding in two points of support and after a variable tie rod to the device represented on (1), the 'advantage of this bièle' consisting in that it provides a waiting interval equal to that of the beater according to FIG. (36).
In fig. 5 it is possible and it results in practice a modification of the point E, according to the diagrams of the figures (35) for the following purposes: the support (55) for fixing the sickle (56) by having the shuttle and tracing the arc of a circle, because the tab (57) is attached to the steel guide (58), forces it to draw a straight line, the bolt of the sickle sliding through the gap (59) under of the tie-rod placed between the support (53) and the lever (60), the support of said lever (60) being released in contact with the support (55).
In the others known, the support of the supports! fixed on a bolt, and the sickle is the one that is forced to slide on the cleat precisely when it performs the language of the shuttle and the radius is reduced risking to be broken the sickle when the reduction mentioned is worn, or at least , that the shuttle is launched in the wrong direction as a result of the cleat guide (58) bending.
The vertical movement, providing the play of the biel boxes (29), according to fig. 23 in the main patent, has been modified, in such a way that the gear wheel (61), fig. 37, has four teeth on one plane or side and four opposed teeth on the other plane, the two planes being separated by about two centimeters, and having a disc (62) cut by two sectors (63.) of so that the wheel is attached by means of the small lever (64) and the pressure of the spring (65), remaining fixed by virtue of the surface (66) of the driving wheel (69);
the wheel (61) is fitted with a
<Desc / Clms Page number 12>
eccentric (67) in combination with the eccentric (68) for the lifting of the boxes in number of four per side of the loom,. and the voluntary movement of the wheel (69) comprising at most four teeth, is effected in inside a sleeve (70) provided with two keys (71), which produces the rotational movement of the wheel (69) and the raising or lowering of the box, depending on whether it is located opposite a plane of the four first teeth of the wheel (61) or opposite the other plane where the other four teeth are located. The movement from one to the other plane is received by means of the fork (72), which in turn receives it via the corner base (73), being fixed to the middle of the adjustable claw piece (74), which receives the movement by the lever (75)
sliding by the eccentric carried by the wheel (69), when the roller (76) meets the stop of the eccentric (77) of the mentioned wheel. When the boxes cannot rise or fall inside the eccentric cavity, a click device (78) is provided which retains the tongue (79) by pressing the spring (80), which it is possible to scale by means of the hook fitted with screws (81) which slides through the ring (82) attached to the crankshaft of the loom.
This set of boxes offers the advantage over all others of the great strength of the gears as well as the elimination of intermediaries, the parts remaining in rest when they do not have to move the boxes.
As has been said previously, FIG. 38 shows the smooth joint of metal support (29) charaotérised, in a different way to all others, because the whole mechanism is placed in the center of the same and all the articulations are in sight, by which they can be seen. lubricate and clean very easily using the openings and @. Section A shows the left cavity provided with a free and plain slit to support the tensor;
in the section
B we represent the dial E with the stop K, and when the shuttle does not put itself in its place, -Part F with the stop collaborates in the
<Desc / Clms Page number 13>
the paralisation of the loom by making the boards stop, and damping the blow of the spring (T); part E is fixed by cover part H; the letters M and N represent the fulcrum of the weft stopper.
Fig. 39 presents the automatic paralising device of the loom when one of the heddles could fail due to the tie rod breaking or coming out of the sleeve. Said device is made up of a rod or wire (84) attached to the part (85) rotating around a shaft which is fixed on the own frame of the loom, internal side, and when any beam falls. (33) pushes the part (86) and at the same time the movement release latch, which causes the automatic stopping of the loom.
Fig. 40 shows the chain retaining brake mechanism
On the support (97) is supported the extremely cylindrical part (89) and toothed on an interior disaue, which joined to the clicks (87) secure the rod and hold it in the unfolding direction, leaving it free when the weaver wants. wind the chain; the part (88) is attached to the rod (95) by means of the nuts (98), being the clicks (87) compressed by the pressure of the springs (96), and the brakes (90) being provided by its end a thumb screw (93) and in the slot the numbered angle plate (92) is fitted, with the part (91) indicating the pressure that the spring (94) exerts on the brake between the nut and the fulcrum of the seklette.
This innovation allows the weaver, without any other help and without even touching the brakes, to carry the chain all the necessary and to wind it with the stick, immediately starting to weave, to the advantage of others who must first release. the brakes and tighten them again to immediately start weaving,
The description and drawings which constitute the present memory have been presented merely by way of example so as to show

This is a practical embodiment, since in reality the implementation lends itself to a plurality of variations in its maturity and materials without affecting the essence of the invention. It is therefore in a broad sense and not at all limiting that the present invention should be interpreted.
