Jusqu'à ce jour, l'accumulation des effi- lures dans les ourdissoirs, métiers, ete., était une source d'ennuis en ce sens que, en parti culier dans le cas des ourdissoirs, en s'.accu- mula.nt dans les peignes et en étant ensuite entraînées par les fils, ces effilures .adhéraient à ceux-ci et formaient des touffes ou noeuds dans l'étoffe tissée à l'aide de ces fils;

Pneumatic cleaning device for warping machines, looms, etc. The object of the invention is a pneumatic cleaning device for warping machines, looms, etc., in which a series of threads arranged side by side moves through the machine, this device being arranged to detach the threads, fibrils, etc. etc., threads, combs, guides, chain breakers, etc.
Until now, the accumulation of hairlines in warping machines, looms, etc., has been a source of trouble in the sense that, in particular in the case of warping machines, it has accumulated. nt in the combs and then being driven by the son, these tapers .adhered to them and formed tufts or knots in the fabric woven using these son;
and that, by fouling the chain breakers of warping machines and looms, they render the automatic stop mechanism incapable of performing its function which consists in stopping the winding or weaving, as the case may be. The device according to the invention prevents this accumulation of ribs and avoids the drawbacks which result therefrom.
The device according to the invention comprises -a blowing device, preferably a fan, for passing an air current through the series of wires, this device being driven in a transverse movement with respect to the series of wires. son and receiving in 'addition a movement of oscillation longitudinally relative to the son.
Thanks to these movements, the air current passes through the series of wires, going from one bank to the other of this one and forwards and backwards in the longitudinal direction so that all parts of the width of the series of threads, as well as the parts of the machine associated with the threads, are subjected to the action of the air current.
The comings and goings of the air current from one bank to the other of the series of wires can be obtained either by making the entire turn ventilar move transversely with respect to said series, or by causing it to oscillate transversely around. pivoting members supported by an appropriate support.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, several embodiments of the object of the invention supposedly applied to warping machines.
Fig. 1 is a front view of a hoe-dissoir to which is applied a shape of execution in which the entire fan is keypl, i: this across the series of threads: ;; The \ _ 'fig. is a vertical section following.-3--2, fis. 1; L a fig. 3 is a front view on a larger scale showing the fan and the parts attached to it;

In the fi-. 2, there is shown wires 1 arriving, for example, from a front (not shown) and passing through the rear comb ?, then above the measuring roller 3, below the bar, verti movement - free cai_ 4, above the support roller through the front comb 6 and above the front support roller i to end at.
beam 8 on which they are wrapped by the action of the <B> the </B> machine. Chains <@s 9 are suspended from the threads between the rear support roller 5 and the front comb 6.
In the example shown, the cleaning device ïlgit so as to expel through Bout- fla.ge the taper which separates from the threads during the passage of these threads from the rear to the front, at the top of the machine. , and so as to. keep the rear and front combs, chain breakers and other parts adjacent to the chain breakers free of fraying.
In the fi.-. 1 and \ ?, fixed uprights 10 provided at the ends of the sup warping device carry a propulsion screw 11 shown in fi-. 3 and provided with a double thread on the right and â, left.
This propulsion screw turns in bearings 1 \? provided at the upper ends 13 of the uprights 1 (1 and receives, via bevel gears 1-1, 14 ', a vertical shaft 15 and a worm gear 16, 16', a rotational movement of the control mechanism at low speed of the machine. The. drive screw 11 is surrounded by a sleeve <B> 17 </B> which is fixed to the upper ends of the arms 18 with which the uprights are provided 10 and serves to support and guide the collar _1l receiving a back and forth movement of the propulsion screw.
The sleeve <B> 1.7 </B> is surrounded by the collar which slides on it, and it presc # denies a lonl-itudinale <B> 17 '</B> slot in which slips a stud 19 carried by the collar? I-1 and E @ _ tending downwards, this stud being provided with, its inner end, a driving cleat sliding in the grooves of the propulsion screw.
The rotation of the screw key pro pulsion determines the displacement of the collar? 0 and of the parts carried by this eolliur alter natively in a st ns and in the opposite direction across the machine, that is to say on one side it the other of the machine.
The aforementioned blower apparatus is connected to. this -collar and is used to send a current of air towards the wires (-t the various parts located at the top of the ma.cliine. As a result of the back and forth movement of this device with the collar? 0,
the current of air acts successively in the different parts of the. width of the. my china. Dan; this example, the blowing apparatus is constituted (# by an electric fan @@ tridue _21, which. is. the preferred execution, although the invention is not necessarily limited in all cases to the application a ventilator.
The fan? -1 is mounted between the arms of a caliper ?? comprising in the caseinnicI a neck which is hollowed out to fit on an axis 21 carried by the collar? 0 and extending downwards, the stirrup being fixed to the axis? 1 by a block-screw <B> 23. </B>
To make the fan oscillate properly, the air flow goes forward and backward in the longitudinal direction,
ce vc @ ntilator ??. -st suspended between the arms of the caliper 22 in such a way that it is able to oscillate forwards and backwards, in a vertical pleasure, which is obtained by providing the fan box with trunnions 25 arranged to rotate in bearings connected to the brt s of the caliper.
In this example, the fan itself produces its oscillating movement by means of a secondary shaft <B> 26 </B> mounted in the fan box and receiving its control, via 'a gear, the main shaft of the fan, a disc or plate 27 being fixed to the outer end of the shaft 26 and a rod 29 which is connected by one of its ends to a neton 28 carried by the disc 27 and which is connected by its other end to a pin 30 formed on a pin 31 which is provided with a head having the shape of a <B> L </B> and whose attachment element is engaged in a hole provided for this purpose in one of the arms of the caliper.
When the fan rotates, the secondary shaft 26 also rotates causing the handle 28 to describe a circular path with respect to the secondary shaft. Since the connecting rod 29 pivots by the of its ends on a member which is fixed relative to the stirrup 22 and cannot move in the direction of its length, the movement of the crankpin 28 to which is connected l 'other end of the. The linkage has the effect of rotating the fan alternately in one direction and in the opposite direction around its journals 25 and thus to achieve the desired oscillation.
The fan is provided with a protective cage of the usual type 32 surrounding its fins. In practice, the appropriate power supply leads are connected to the fan. These current lead wires have only been shown schematically. A suitable switch is provided to control the electric current which operates the fan. In this example, this switch, indicated at 33, is located at. the lower part of one end of the machine.
The key pusher 33a this switch is intended to be lowered by a finger 34 carried by the swinging shaft 35 of the pedal so that the switch is closed, and that the current can therefore be delivered, only when the ourdis- so.ir is on the move.
When the fan comes into action, it receives a back and forth movement transversely relative to the machine, so that the air current is gradually directed to all the points of the width of the threads.
Swinging the fan back and forth parallel to the wires has the key effect of causing the air flow to work in the longitudinal direction of the wires as the fan oscillates, so that the air passes more directly and more easily up and down through the yarns and spreads the taper of these yarns and adjacent machine parts in a more advantageous manner and without this tending to determine the deposit of free particles on the yarns.
Obviously, this mode of action is advantageous in the case of the application of the invention to a profession, having regard to the rows of breakers of the stop mechanism arranged in a compact manner.
We will mark again with reference to the fib. 2 that the oscillation of the fan from the front to the rear ensures a substantially: equal action of the air current with regard to the rear comb 2, at the seat = ch.aines 9, 9 of the various rows breaker and front comb 6, while the back and forth movement of the fan in the transverse direction of the. The effect of the machine is that the air current from the fan acts successively evenly in all parts of the width of the machine.
In the event that one wishes to change angularly the plane of the forward and backward oscillating movement of the fan, this could be obtained by loosening the locking screw 23, rotating the caliper 22 around the axis 21 of the collar 20 so as to modify the angular position of the caliper to the desired extent, then tightening the screw 23.
The cleaning device of FIGS. 5 and 6 co, m- carries a fan 11.9, which, instead of receiving a reciprocating movement as a whole across the series of .fils, is mounted on a support 126 including the. position does not vary transversely, the fan oscillating on this -support in a transverse direction so that the air flow which emanates from it reaches all parts of the width of the series of wires.
The assembly of the support 126 and the fan 119 oscillates forwards and backwards (the way that the air flow is directed alternately forwards and backwards in the longitudinal direction of the machine.
The support 126 is constituted by a tie collar mounted on a shaft 110 disposed at work of the machine and supported by bearings connected to the upper ends 100 (Here:
