La barre à décolleter e etant montée sur la machine, les divers outils réglés con venablement et les cames en place, en met tant cette machine cri marche, la pince de serrage du support de l'outil f s'ouvre par l'intermédiaire de la poupée d, du levier et de la came s; la barre e s'avançant alors de la longueur de la pièce sous l'action du levier 1) et de la came q, vient rencontrer la butée mobile v qui a été amenée dans la position voulue par le levier 2, la bielle 1: le levier z et la came y;
Automatic machine for bar turning, moieter, drilling, tapping etc. The present invention relates to an automatic machine for bar turning, inolettering, drilling, tapping, etc., making it possible to produce mechanical parts, such as: screws, axles, nuts, bolts, pins, etc., in series, characterized in that the tool carrier trolley is arranged at the rear of the machine above the camshaft, in order to allow direct control of the movements of these tools.
By way of example, this invention will be described below with reference to the accompanying drawing, which shows one embodiment.
Fig. 1 is an overview, front view of this form; Fig. 2 is a rear view on a larger scale; Figs. 3-5 are dirty cross sections made respectively along lines A-A, B-B and C-C of fig. 2; Figs. 6 and 7 show, apart, respectively in elevation and in plan, a telescope to follow entering this machine.
As can be seen in this drawing, this bar turning machine comprises, in general, an upper frame a and a lower frame a 'in addition to a cup a2.
The upper frame is. provided with bearings a3 supporting the shaft b receiving the variable cams c intended for controlling the various tools of the machine.
At the top of the frame a. is the fixed headstock d in which passes the bar e to be turned and on which is rnity the support f of the cutting tool g.
On the front of the same frame is the carriage h. of the tool to be shaped or lettered z.
A longitudinal carriage j is arranged on the rear of the machine; this carriage receives in combination a transverse carriage 7th carrying the tool i '.
On the side opposite the entrance to bar e; the machine comprises either a drilling device as shown in the drawing, or a tapping device, or a drilling and tapping device ete.
At the rear, the machine is provided with a housing 1, in which there is an endless screw rit controlled by a speed cone ii, and actuating the camshaft b at the using the wheel o actuated by the screw saris end m.
On the entry opening of the bar e there is a lever Z) pivoting at p 'and controlled by the cam title q. This device is intended for the supply of the machine.
.At the middle of the doll d there is a pivoting lever in y- 'and controlled by means of a cam s. This lever is intended to actuate a sleeve t, by means of the devices ordinarily employed in machines of this type, to suitably tighten the bar e which is to be removed.
A pulley .it turns the bar during the bar turning work.
A movable stopper v limits the length of the advance of said bar e, that is to say the length of the part to be turned, which is arranged so as to prevent chips from falling on it. This stop is fixed on the .zs shaft which receives its rotational movement by means of the cam p of the screw. pivoting in z ', of the connecting rod 1 and of the lever 2.
The tool g for cutting the bar is fixed on a carriage 3. This carriage receives its downward movement by means of a device comprising the lever 4, the connecting rod 5, the lever 6 and the cam c 'and is recalled by a spring not shown in the drawing.
The shaping tool i is placed on the carriage lt controlled by the lever 7, a movement return 8 and a cam c2. LTrr spring 9 recalls this tool when the work of the latter is finished.
The transverse carriage k is controlled by the lever 10 and the cam c3. A return spring 11 replaces this carriage in its rest position.
The longitudinal carriage j, disposed above the camshaft b is actuated by a lever 12 and a cam cl. However, in certain cases, this longitudinal carriage can be actuated directly by the cam e4 without the intermediary of the lever 12. A spring 13 recalls this carriage at rest.
For pieces of great length and small diameter, a bezel to follow 14 forming a support and ensuring a straight direction of the piece to be turned (fi-. 4, 6 </ B> and 7) can be arranged on the longitudinal carriage between the clamping mandrel 15 and the transverse carriage k combined with the longi tudinal carriage j.
On one end of the machine is a tool 16 working along the longitudinal axis of this machine and controlled by a c5 cam and a lever 17.
The cams qsp controlling the supply, the clamping of the bar and the movable stop, always remain the same for all types of parts, but, the cams er c = c3 c4 and cl, controlling the various tools are mounted on a sleeve 18, so that they can be replaced very quickly, depending on the kind of work to be performed with the machine. These latter cams are held in place by a nut 19 and a locating pin 20.
To be able to remove them easily from the shaft b, it is first necessary to loosen the nuts 21 by a quarter of a turn and give a slight rotational movement to the corresponding bearing cc 3, which makes it possible to remove these nuts and last then in a few seconds.
An oil pump can be arranged on the machine for lubricating tools. A flywheel 22 makes it possible to turn the cause shaft b by hand by means of the endless screw goes and of the wheel o, during the adjustment of the tools.
A small lever 23 is used to disengage the camshaft b. Urr button 24, via a rod 25 and a lever '_'6, on the contrary serves to engage this camshaft.
A tablet 27 is placed in front of the machine.
The bar to be turned being mounted on the machine, the various tools suitably adjusted and the cams in place, while this machine is running, the clamping clamp of the tool support f opens by means of the tailstock d, the lever and the cam s; the bar e then advancing the length of the part under the action of the lever 1) and the cam q, meets the movable stop v which has been brought into the desired position by the lever 2, the connecting rod 1: the lever z and the cam y;
at this moment, the collet closes, controlled by the same members as for its opening, and the movable stop v returns to its rest position under the action of its own members. At this time, the various tools for turning, shaping or knurling, drilling or tapping, can work either separately or simultaneously on the bar; however, the cut-off tool finishes its job after the others to determine the fall of the part which passes through the frame and falls into the container 28.
Then takes place the loosening of the clamp placed in the mandrel 15, which allows the pushing of the bar to be turned the length of a part, until it touches the movable stop v, then the various operations start over in the order listed above.
