A waterproof winder for a timepiece The present invention relates to a waterproof winder for a timepiece, in which a winding crown, in the shape of a cap, covers a pendant tube.
Cie winder is characterized by the fact that this tube carries an elastic device acting radially on a frustoconical bearing surface presented by the inner face of said crown, so that the radial pressure of this elastic device is transformed into an axial pressure of the crown against a seal disposed in the bottom thereof and bearing on the edge of the pendant.
The drawing in which only the components necessary for understanding the invention have been shown, illustrates, by way of example, two embodiments of the object of the invention and a variant. Fig. 1 is an axial section of part of the first embodiment. Fig. 2 is a sectional view of a detail of the variant, and FIG. 3 is a section similar to that of FIG. 1, of part of the second embodiment.
In. fig. 1, the middle part of the watch case, partially shown, is designated by 1. It carries, fixed by a nut 2, a pendant tube 3 through which the stem 4 of the winder passes. The latter carries, screwed onto it, a winding crown 5, in the shape of a cap, covering a head 3a that has the end of the pendant. The rod 4 is screwed into a central inner barrel Sa which the crown 5 presents, and which is housed in a central recess 6 of the head 3a of the pendant. A sealing washer 7 is interposed between the bottom of the crown 5 and the axial face 8 of the head 3a of the pendant.
Axial pressure of the crown on this sealing washer 7 is provided by the action of a split sleeve 9, metallic, fixed at 9a by one of its ends to the head 3a of the pendant, and supported by an external shoulder. 9b that its other end has, on a frustoconical bearing surface 10 of the inner face of the crown. The radial elastic pressure of the sleeve 9 on the crown 5 is thus transformed into an axial pressure of the crown on the washer 7, which ensures the seal.
The variant of FIG. 2 differs from the first embodiment in that the metal sleeve, designated by 11, is forced by its base 11a around the head 13a of the pendant 13 and has a bottom 11b, pierced with a central hole, s' extending under the head 13a.
In fig. 3, the middle part of the watch case is designated by 14. It bears a pendant 15 fixed by a nut 16 through which the stem 17 of the winder passes. The crown 18 of the winder is screwed onto the stem 17. As in the first embodiment, it has the shape of a cap covering the head 15a of the pendant. A seal 19, in the form of a washer, is interposed between the bottom of the crown 18 and the axial face 20 of the head 15a of the pendant 15.
The axial pressure of the crown 18 on the seal 19 is provided by a wire spring 21 consisting of an open ring partially housed in an annular groove 28 of the head 15a of the pendant. This spring 21 is elastically supported on

a frustoconical bearing surface 23 provided in the inner face of the crown 18.
In order to at least partially ensure sealing when the crown is pulled out for the purpose of resetting the time, a sealing segment, designated by 24, is partially housed in an annular groove of the head 15a of the pendant and takes support against the inner face of the crown.
