Description
Verfahren zur Herstellung eines hionoarylsubstitutionsproduktes des Vielamins. Vorliegendes Patent bezieht sich auf ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Monoaryl- substitutionsproduktes des Melamins, da durch gekennzeichnet, dass man ein mineral saures Salz von p-Aminophenol auf einen Thioammelinäther in Gegenwart eines Ver- dünnungsmittels einwirken lässt.
Das so erhaltene Mono-4'-oxyphenylmel- amin ist ein neuer Körper vom Schmelzpunkt 277 bis 278 . Es soll als Zwischenprodukt zur Herstellung von harzartigen Kondensations produkten Verwendung finden. <I>Beispiel:</I> 545 kg p-Aminophenol und 49 kg.
Salz säure (sspez. Gew. = 1',19!) werden in etwa 250'0 Liter heissem Wasser gelöst und mit 855 kg Thioammelin-äthyläther so lange ge kocht, bis kein unverändertes p-Aminophenol mehr nachweisbar ist. Die Lösung, welche das Chlorhydrat des Umsetzungsproduktes enthält, wird heiss von geringen Abscheidun- gen abfiltriert. Nach dem Erkalten wird die Base durch Zusatz von 58 kg Natronlauge 40 Be als farblose Kristallmasse abgeschie den, mit Wasser neutral gewaschen und ge trocknet.
Das so erhaltene Mono-4'-oxyphe- nylmelamin kann durch Umkristallisieren aus Wasser noch weiter gereinigt werden.

The present patent relates to a process for the production of a monoaryl substitution product of melamine, characterized in that a mineral acid salt of p-aminophenol is allowed to act on a thioammelin ether in the presence of a diluent.
The mono-4'-oxyphenylmelamine thus obtained is a new body with a melting point of 277 to 278. It should be used as an intermediate for the production of resinous condensation products. <I> Example: </I> 545 kg p-aminophenol and 49 kg.
Hydrochloric acid (specific weight = 1 ', 19!) Are dissolved in about 250'0 liters of hot water and boiled with 855 kg of thioammelin ethyl ether until no unchanged p-aminophenol can be detected. The solution, which contains the chlorohydrate of the reaction product, is filtered off hot from small deposits. After cooling, the base is deposited as a colorless crystal mass by adding 58 kg of 40 Be sodium hydroxide solution, washed neutral with water and dried.
The mono-4'-oxyphenylmelamine obtained in this way can be purified even further by recrystallization from water.
