Description
Verfahren zur Herstellung eines neuen Derivates einer heteroeyelisehen Verbindung. Es wurde gefunden, dass man zu einem neuen Derivat einer heteracyclischen Verbin dung gelangt, wenn man das Natriumsalz des sulfonierten Benzimidazols, das durch Kondensation von o-Phenylendiamin mit technischer Stearinsäure und nachfolgende Sulfonierung erhalten wird, mit Athylenoxyd i msetzt,
auf das so erhaltene Reaktionspro dukt Dimethylsulfat einwirken lässt und das entstandene Reaktionsprodukt mit einer wässerigen Natriumhydroxydlösung behan delt.
Die Einwirkung des Athylenoxyds und des Dimethylsulfates erfolgt zweckmässig in der Wärme.
Das so erhaltene Produkt stellt nach dem Trocknen eine feste, braune Masse dar, die in Wasser löslich und gegen Essigsäure be ständig ist. Es kann als Textilhilfsstoff, zum Beispiel als Egalisieimittel, Anwendung fin den.
<I>Beispiel:</I> 46 Gewichtsteile des Natriumsalzes des sulfonierten Benzimidazols, das durch Kon densation von o-Phenylendiamin mit tech nischer Stearinsäure und nachfolgende Sulfo- nierung erhalten wird, werden mit 17,6 Ge wichtsteilen Äthylenoxyd im Autoklaven 12 Stunden .auf 150-160' erhitzt. Das so erhal tene Produkt wird mit 12,6 Gewichtsteilen Dimethylsulfat noch 3 Stunden unter Rühren auf<B>100.-110'</B> erwärmt.
Das entstandene Produkt ist in Wasser fast unlöslich; es löst sich in phenolphthaleinalkalischer Lösung bei kurzem Erwärmen und stellt nach dem Trocknen eine feste, braune Masse dar, die in Wasser löslich und gegen Essigsäure be- ständiz ist.
