Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Azofarbstoffes. Es wurde gefunden, dass man einen wert vollen Azofarbstoff, der sich in Substanz oder auf der Faser mit Metallsalzen behan deln lässt, erhält, wenn man die Diazover- bindung der N-(3'-Aminobenzolsalfonyl)-3- amino-2-oxy-5-sulfobenzol-l-carbonsäure mit 3-Methyl-5-pyrazolon kuppelt.
Der so erhaltene Farbstoff färbt Wolle sehr gleichmässig in grünstichig gelben Tönen, die durch N achchromieren sehr gute Echtheitseigenschaften, insbesondere gegen Licht, Waschen und Walken, erhalten. Die in Substanz hergestellte Chromverbindung besitzt ein ganz hervorragendes Egalisierver- mögen und färbt die tierische Faser in sehr gut licht-, wasch-, walk und reibechten Farbtönen.
<I>Beispiel:</I> 388 Teile N-(3'-Aminobenzolsulfonyl)-3- amino - 2 - ogy - 5 - sulfobenzol-1-carbonsäure werden in 2000 Teilen Wasser unter Zusatz von Soda gelöst, mit 69 Teilen. Natriumni- trit gemischt und bei Zimmertemperatur in verdünnte Salzsäure einlaufen gelassen. Die abgeschiedene weissgraue Diazoverbindung wird danach in eine eiskalte bicarbonat-alka- lische Lösung von 103 Teilen 3-Methyl-5- pyrazolon eingetragen.
Nach beendeter Kupplung wird der teilweise bereits ausge- scbiedene Farbstoff völlig ausgesalzen und abgesaugt.

The dyestuff obtained in this way dyes wool very evenly in greenish yellow shades which, by chroming, acquire very good fastness properties, in particular to light, washing and tumbling. <I> Example: </I> 388 parts of N- (3'-aminobenzenesulfonyl) -3-amino-2-ogy-5-sulfobenzene-1-carboxylic acid are dissolved in 2000 parts of water with the addition of soda, with 69 parts. Sodium nitrite mixed and allowed to run into dilute hydrochloric acid at room temperature. The deposited white-gray diazo compound is then introduced into an ice-cold bicarbonate-alkali solution of 103 parts of 3-methyl-5-pyrazolone.
After the coupling has ended, the dye, which has already partially separated out, is completely salted out and suctioned off.
