Description

  

      Zusatzpatent    zum Hauptpatent Nr. 158243.    Verfahren zur Darstellung einer hochmolekularen     Sulfosäure.       Es wurde gefunden, dass man zu neuen,  wasserlöslichen Kondensationsprodukten ge  langen kann, wenn man feste, sauer     konden-          >:ierte    Kunstharze auf     Formaldehydbasis    einer  Behandlung mit Phenol. seinen Homologen  oder     Substitutionsprodukten    unterwirft und  die entstehende homogene Masse mit     sulfo-          nierenden    Mitteln behandelt.  



  Vorliegende Erfindung bezieht sich nun  auf ein Verfahren zur Darstellung einer hoch  molekularen     Sulfosäure,    dadurch gekenn  zeichnet, dass man ein durch Kondensation  von Phenol und Harnstoff mit Formaldehyd       iInter        Mitverwendung    von sauren Katalysa  toren erhaltenes Kunstharz in Phenol löst       und    bis zur Wasserlöslichkeit mit     sulfonie-          renden    Mitteln behandelt.  



  Der neue Körper stellt in Form seines       Alka.lisalzes    eine schwach gefärbte, amorphe  Masse dar. Ausser als Gerbstoff kann das  Produkt als     Wollreservierungsmittel    in der       Halbwollfärberei    dienen.    <I>Beispiel:</I>  80 Teile eines Harzes, erhalten durch Kon  densation von 100 Teilen Phenol, 20 Teilen  Harnstoff, 1210 Teilen     Formaldehydlösung     38%ig (Gewicht) und 2 bis 5 Teilen Schwe  felsäure 40 %     ig    bei 85   werden mit 100 Tei  len Phenol bei<B>70'</B> so lange gerührt, bis eine'  homogene Lösung des Harzes entstanden ist.

    Man lässt nun zwischen 40' und<B>110'</B>  100 Teile Schwefelsäure von 66       Be    zu  fliessen und rührt weiter, bis eine Probe im  gleichen Raumteil Wasser auch in der Kälte  klar löslich ist. Nach Abstumpfen der über  schüssigen Säure mit Natriumkarbonat lässt  sich das lösliche Harz durch     Aussalzen    mit       Natriumchlorid    oder durch Eindampfen als  schwach gefärbte, amorphe Masse gewinnen;  ihre Lösungen wirken auf basische Farbstoffe  stark fällend, besitzen stark leimfällende  Eigenschaften und färben sich mit     Ferrichlo-          rid        rotstichig    blau.

PATENTANSPRUCH: Verfahren zur Darstellung einer hoch molekularen Sulfosäure, dadurch gekenn zeichnet, dass man ein durch Kondensation von Phenol und Harnstoff mit Formaldehyd unter Mitverwendung von sauren Katalysa toren erhaltenes Kunstharz in Phenol löst und bis zur Wasserlöslichkeit mit sulfonie- renden Mitteln behandelt. Der neue Körper stellt in Form seines Alkalisalzes eine schwach gefärbte, amorphe Masse dar, deren wässerige Lösung stark leim fällende Eigenschaften besitzt, auf basische Farbstoffe stark fällend wirkt und sieh mit Ferrichforid rotstichig blau färbt.
