"áLCOOL DE AçúCAR ANIDRO, PROCESSO DE PRODUçãODE áLCOOL DE AçUCAR ANIDRO, POLìMERO E PRODUTO". édescrito um processo de produção continua de álcoois de açúcaranidro através da introdução contínua de álcoois de açúcar e/ouálcoois de açúcar monoanidro em um vaso de reação edesidratação na presença de um catalisador ácido e solvente,preferencialmente um solvente orgânico, em que os produtos dereação resultantes sejam solúveis. água e o solvente orgânico quepossui o produto de reação dissolvido são removidoscontinuamente da câmara de reação. O produto de reação éseparado do solvente removido, que é reciclado para o vaso dereação. O produto de reação é opcionalmente purificado atravésde destilação e/ou recristalização. O produto de reação purificadoobtido é particularmente apropriado como matéria-prima para aprodução de polímeros e possui pureza de pelo menos 99,0%.
