Abstract
Patente de Invenção: <B>''CATALISADOR DE ARMAZENAMENTO DE óXIDO DE NITROGêNIO''<D>. A invenção se refere a um catalisador de armazenamento de óxido de nitrogênio que contém pelo menos um material catalisador e pelo menos um componente de armazenamento de óxido de nitrogênio do grupo dos metais alcalinos e alcalinos-terrosos. O catalisador de armazenamento de óxido de nitrogêrnio se caracteriza pelo fato do componente de armazenamento de óxido de nitrogênio, após o término da preparação do catalisador, estar presente como sulfato de bário, sulfato de estróncio finamente dividido ou como uma mistura ou cristais mistos dos dois sulfatos ou como seu produto de decomposição completa ou incompleta, com um tamanho de partícula médio de menos de 1Ám. Sulfato de bário e/ou sulfato de estróncio agem como materiais de alimentação para o componente de armazenamento ativo óxido de bário no catalisador de armazenamento de acordo com a invenção. Como resultado das composições de gás de axaustão redutoras que ocorre sob condições de direção normais, o sulfato de bário e o sulfato de estróncio se decompõem em compostos que são capazes de armazenar óxidos de nitrogênio. Isso mais ou menos compensa a perda de componentes de armazenamento ativos que ocorre devido ao envelhecimento. Também há a possibilidade de decompor o sulfato de bário e/ou sulfato de estróncio durante a produção, por meio de calcinação redutora, para se obter um alto carregamento inicial do catalisador com compostos de armazenamento. Nesse caso, os sulfatos mencionados são usados como agentes auxiliares para introduzir as concentrações mais altas possíveis de compostos de armazenamento no catalisador de armazenamento.
