Abstract
Patente de Invenção: <B>"INSPEçãO óTICA DE RECIPIENTES TRANSPARENTES USANDO DUAS CâMARAS E UMA úNICA FONTE LUMINOSA"<D>. Aparelho para a inspeção de um recipiente (14) para variações que afetam a capacidade de aceitação comercial do recipiente que inclui uma fonte luminosa (16) para o direcionamento de uma energia luminosa polarizada difusa através de um recipiente enquanto o recipiente é girado em torno de seu eixo geométrico. Uma primeira câmara (24) fica disposta de modo a receber uma energia luminosa polarizada difusa transmitida a partir da fonte luminosa através de uma porção do recipiente, de maneira que a primeira câmara recebe uma imagem da porção de recipiente na qual variações opacas aparecem escuras contra um fundo de outra forma brilhante. Uma segunda câmara (28) recebe uma energia luminosa transmitida a partir da fonte luminosa através substancialmente da mesma porção do recipiente, e inclui um polarizador (32) em orientação transversal com relação ao polarizador na fonte luminosa. A segunda câmara recebe uma imagem brilhante de variações de tensão no recipiente, as quais alteram a polarização da energia luminosa polarizada difusa que atravessa o recipiente, contra um fundo de outra forma escuro. Um processador de imagem (41) fica acoplado em ambas as câmaras para varrer as imagens associadas da porção de recipiente vistas pelas câmaras para a detecção e distinção dentre variações no recipiente como uma função de uma comparação pixel por pixel entre as duas imagens.
