Abstract

processo para produzir o carbonato de etileno e etileno glicol. divulgado é um processo para a produção de carbonato de etileno que compreende as etapas de reagir dióxido de carbono com óxido de etileno na presença de um catalisador para obter uma mistura de reação líquida que contém carbonato de etileno e purificar o carbonato de etileno gerado por cristalização. no processo, um líquido contendo catalisador é retirado da mistura de reação líquida, e água é adicionada à esta em uma quantidade pelo menos 20 vezes em peso a quantidade do catalisador dissolvido no líquido retirado. os insolúveis são deste modo precipitados. os insolúveis precipitados são removidos, e o líquido residual é circulado para a mistura de reação líquida. assim, carbonato de etileno do qual a matéria corante foi removida pode ser eficientemente produzido. além disso, em um processo para produzir o etileno glicol, o entupimento é prevenido e o sistema pode ser estavelmente operado durante um período longo.
