Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un procedimiento para el control de brea en un medio acuoso mediante la adición de carbonato de calcio natural que reacciona en la superficie o una suspensión acuosa que comprende carbonato de calcio que reacciona en la superficie y que tiene un pH mayor de 6.0 medido a 20°C, para el medio, en donde el carbonato de calcio que reacciona en la superficie es un producto de reacción de carbonato de calcio natural con dióxido de carbono y uno o más ácidos, el uso de carbonato de calcio natural que reacciona en la superficie para el control de la brea, así como para una combinación de un carbonato de calcio natural que reacciona en la superficie y talco para el control de la brea, y las composiciones resultantes. 1.- Un procedimiento para el control de la brea en un medio acuoso, en donde el carbonato de calcio natural quereacciona en la superficie o una suspensión acuosa, comprende carbonato de calcio que reacciona en la superficie y que tiene un pH que tiene un pH mayor de 6.0 medido a 20°C, que se adiciona al medio, en donde el carbonato de calcio que reacciona en la superficie es el producto de la reacción del carbonato de calcio natural con dióxido de carbono y uno o más ácidos.2.- El procedimiento de conformidad con la reivindicación 1, en donde el carbonato de calcio natural que reacciona en la superficie se prepara como una suspensión acuosa que tiene un pH mayor de 6.5, preferiblemente mayor de 7.0, y más preferiblemente 7.5, medido a 20°C.3.- El procedimiento de conformidad con las reivindicaciones 1 ó 2, caracterizado porque el carbonato de calcio natural se selecciona del grupo que comprende mármol, calcita, yeso, y dolomita, piedra caliza y mezclas de los mismos. .4.- El procedimiento de conformidad con cualquiera de las reivindicaciones anteriores, caracterizado porque el ácido tiene un pKa a 25°C de 2.5 o menos.
