Abstract

"COMPOSIçãO CAPTADORA/CATALISADORA DE HIDROCARBONETOS, ESTRUTURA PARA CATALISADOR, MéTODO DE PRODUçãO DA MESMA, E, USO DE UM CATALISADOR OU DE UMA ESTRUTURA PARA CATALISADOR". Uma composição captadora/catalisadora de hidrocarbonetos contendo um material adsorvente de hidrocarbonetos e um metal ativo dentre potássio, rubídio, césio, berílio, magnésio, cálcio, bário ou estróncio, ou uma mistura de quaisquer dois ou mais destes, preferivelmente césio, caracterizada em que o metal ativo está impregnado no material. A composição pode ser usada para adsorção de hidrocarbonetos de uma corrente de gás de exaustão de motor de combustão interna de automóvel, quando o gás de exaustão se acha em uma primeira temperatura relativamente fria, e posteriormente dessorção e oxidação dos hidrocarbonetos quando a corrente de gás de exaustão está em uma segunda temperatura relativamente mais quente.
