Abstract

"MéTODO E APARELHO PARA LIMPAR UM GáS DE PARTìCULAS SóLIDAS OU LìQUIDAS EM SUSPENSãO NO MESMO E TENDO UMA DENSIDADE MAIOR QUE O GáS". Em conexão, com a limpeza de gás quanto a partículas em suspensão no mesmo e sendo mais pesadas do que o gás, o gás é causado a girar em uma câmara (2) delimitada em um alojamento estacionário (1), de modo que as partículas, por força centrífuga, sejam separadas do gás e lançadas em direção a um alojamento estacionário. A rotação do gás é efetuada por meio de um rotor (8), que inclui uma pilha de discos de separação (22) arranjados coaxialmente um com o outro e concentricamente com o eixo de rotação (R) do rotor. O gás a ser limpo é causado a fluir através de interespaços entre os discos de separação, enquanto eles estiverem girando, as partículas sendo postas em contato, pela força centrífuga, com os lados internos dos discos de separação. Em contato com os lados internos dos discos de separação, as partículas, primeiro, movem-se ao longo de geratrizes dos discos de separação e, depois, movem-se ao longo de membros guias inclinados (26) que ficam arranjados em contato com os mencionados lados internos. Os membros guias (26) coletam partículas movendo-se através de setores diferentes dos discos de separação e conduzem as mesmas para áreas separadas distribuídas ao redor das bordas circundantes dos discos de separação. A partir destas áreas, as partículas, em forma aglomerada ou coalescida, são lançadas para fora dos discos de separação, em direção ao alojamento estacionário (1).
