Abstract

"JUNTA UNIVERSAL E MéTODO PARA MONTá-LA". Uma junta universal para interconectar um par de eixos rotativos e um método de montagem da mesma. A junta universal inclui um par de garfos bifurcados para prender os eixos e uma cruzeta para interconectar os munhões. Ambos os munhões são bifurcados para definir um par de pernas espaçadas lateralmente. Cada perna tem uma abertura que inclui uma primeira porção de furo adaptada para receber na mesma um alojamento de rolamento e um segundo furo no qual se estende uma porção de extremidade do alojamento de rolamento. Cada alojamento de rolamento suporta de forma rotativa um dos quatro munhões ortogonais que se estendem a partir da cruzeta. Com respeito a cada um dos garfos, um par de munhões axialmente alinhados, com alojamento de rolamentos montados nos mesmos, é instalado dentro das aberturas de modo a suportarem a cruzeta entre as pernas do garfo. A seguir, um membro de retenção é inserido no segundo furo de cada abertura de modo que uma superfície do membro de retenção seja suportado no alojamento de rolamento. Depois do eixo geométrico de rotação do primeiro eixo ser alinhado com o eixo geométrico de rotação do segundo eixo, uma porção de borda das pernas que envolvem o segundo furo de cada abertura é deformada para definir uma ou mais projeções que se contatam à superfície oposta do membro de retenção. As projeções prendem os membros de retenção dentro do segundo furo das aberturas, através do que é fixada a posição axial dos alojamentos de rolamento e munhões com relação aos garfos.
