Abstract
"CONVERSãO DE óXIDOS DE NITROGêNIO EM PRESENçA DE UM CATALISADOR SUPORTADO DE UMA ESTRUTURA SEMELHANTE A MALHA". A presente invenção refere-se a um processo para converter pelo menos um óxido de nitrogênio, tais como NO, NO~ 2~ ou NO~ 3~, que compreende converter o pelo menos um óxido de nitrogênio em presença de um catalisador suportado em uma estrutura semelhante a malha. A estrutura semelhante a malha é, preferivelmente, fibrosa e tem uma porosidade maior que cerca de 85%. Modalidades preferidas de acondicioamento estruturado e monólitos são mostradas cada uma tendo um catalisador para converter o óxido de nitrogênio. Em uma modalidade, a folhas semelhantes a malha corrugadas são dispostas em série com uma estrutura monolítica sólida de cerâmica com a folha corrugadas inicialmente recebendo o fluido com o pelo menos um óxido de nitrogênio a ser convertido e cujo fluxo então flui para a estrutura monolítica para completar a conversão. Em outras modalidades, a estrutura semelhante a malha pode ter configurações diferentes incluindo um arranjo em colméia e pode compreender metal, metal e cerâmica ou cerâmica e pode ser fibrosa.
