Abstract

Procesos para producir etanol y ácido acético y, en particular, con los procesos para integrar un proceso de producción de etanol con un proceso de producción de ácido acético.Reivindicación 1: Un proceso para producir etanol que incluya los pasos de: hidrogenación de ácido acético en un primer reactor para formar un producto de etanol sin tratar que contenga etanol, ácido acético y agua; separar la corriente de ácida diluida que contiene ácido acético y agua del producto de etanol sin tratar; reaccionar el ácido acético de la corriente de ácido diluida con metanol en una unidad de esterificación para producir una corriente de acetato de metil que contenga acetato de metil y producir ácido acético a partir del acetato de metal en un segundo reactor.
