Abstract
Un método computarizado para monitorear una red de suministro de agua; una red de suministro de agua que comprende una red de canerías para suministrar agua a los consumidores y multiples medidores dispuestos en las canerías en toda la red de suministro de agua. El método incluye recibir los datos de medicion que representan parámetros medidos por los medidores, tales como caudal, presion, nivel de cloro, pH y turbiedad del agua suministrada a través de las canerías. El método también incluye recibir datos secundarios de fuentes externas a los medidores y que representan condiciones que afectan el consumo de agua en una region atendida por la red de suministro de agua, tales como las condiciones meteorologicas y los días no laborables. Los datos de los medidores y los datos secundarios se analizan utilizando técnicas estadísticas para identificar eventos de la red de suministro de agua, incluyendo eventos de fugas y otros eventos relacionados con la cantidad y la calidad del agua que circula a través de las canerías y con la operacion de la red de suministro de agua. Los eventos son informados a los usuarios por medio de una interfaz de usuario.
