Abstract

Un filtro de aire para motor que comprende un cuerpo de cubierta de filtro (10) que tiene una abertura de succion (50) que se comunica con el aire exterior y una abertura de descarga (16) que se comunica con un puerto de toma de aire (Ep) de un motor (E), y una unidad de elemento de filtro (Ue) para filtrar el aire exterior succionado por medio de la abertura de succion (50), estando la unidad de elemento de filtro (Ue) alojada dentro del cuerpo de cubierta de filtro (10), con la característica de que se proporciona un conducto de toma de aire (17) dentro del cuerpo de cubierta de filtro (10), proporcionando el conducto de toma de aire (17) comunicacion entre la abertura de succion (50) y la abertura de descarga (16) provistas en el cuerpo de cubierta de filtro (10); una guarnicion de sello (68; 268; 368) y la unidad de elemento de filtro (Ue) están superpuestas y colocadas en una periferia exterior del conducto de toma de aire (17); el aire exterior tomado por medio de la abertura de succion (50) es filtrado por la unidad de elemento de filtro (Ue) y luego descargado dentro de la abertura de descarga (16); la guarnicion de sello (68; 268; 368) evita que el aire exterior pase directamente a la abertura de descarga (16); y la guarnicion de sello (68; 268; 368) tiene un miembro de retencion (75; 275; 276; 378) que está calzado firmemente al cuerpo de cubierta de filtro (10) de manera de evitar que la guarnicion de sello (68; 268; 368) sea desvinculada de manera no intencional del conducto de toma de aire (17).
