Abstract
Un panel reforzado, de peso ligero, dimensionalmente estable capaz de resistir cargas cortantes cuando es sujetado a un armazón igual a o que excede las cargas cortantes proporcionadas por paneles de madera contrachapada o tableros de hebras orientadas; y un método para producir el panel reforzado. El panel emplea un núcleo de una fase continua resultante del curado de una mezcla acuosa de polvos reactivos que comprende, una base seca, de 35 a 75% en peso de semihidrato alfa de sulfato de calcio, de 20 a 55% en peso de cemento hidráulico, de 0,2 a 3,5% en peso de cal, y de 5 a 25% en peso de un pozolano activo, la fase continua está reforzada con fibras de vidrio resistentes a álcalis y contiene microesferas de cerámica distribuidas uniformemente, que tienen un diámetro promedio de aproximadamente 10 a 500 micrones (micrómetros), o una combinación de microesferas de cerámica y polímero, o esta formada por una mezcla acuosa que tiene una relación en peso de agua a los polvos reactivos de 0,6/1 a 0,7/1 o una combinación de las mismas. Al menos una superficie externa del panel puede incluir una fase continua curada reforzada con fibras de vidrio y que contiene suficientes esferas de polímero para mejorar la capacidad de clavado o hecha con una relación de agua a polvos reactivos para proporcionar un efecto similar a las esferas de polímero, o combinaciones de las mismas.
