Abstract
Un proceso para la produccion de un compuesto de liga de polímero reticulado/arcilla reforzado poniendo en contacto una mezcla de monomero/arcilla con unagente reforzador. La mezcla de monomero/arcilla comprende un monomero, un agente deentrecruzami ento y partículas de arcilla. Un medio iniciador es utilizadopara comenzar la polimerizacion de la mezcla de monomero/arcilla, mientras que el agente de entrecruzamiento actua concurrentemente para reticular las especiesoligoméricas ypoliméricas for madas durante la polimerizacion con el fin de producir una liga de polímero reticulado/arcilla en presencia del agente derefuerzo. La liga de polímero reticulado/arcilla se integra íntimamente con el agente reforzador de modo tal queante la exposici on al agua la liga se hinchesin que prácticamente se separe arcilla del compuesto. Se incluye también el producto obtenido y un compuesto de liga de polímero reticulado/arcilla reforzadoque comprende una liga de polímero y arcilla,y se integra íntim amente con un agente de refuerzo de modo que cuando el compuesto sea sumergido en aguadesionizada, a una temperatura que oscile aproximadamente entre 20 y 30° C, la liga se expanda sin que prácticamente se separe arcilla delcompuesto. El métodode us o del compuesto de liga de polímero reticulado/arcilla reforzado de acuerdo con lo descripto como una barrera para fluidos bajo una tension deaprisionamiento que oscila aproximadamente entre 0 kPa y 10000 kPa, en el cual,cuando se coloca bajo cero t ension de aprisionamiento, la barrera posee unflujo de agua desionizada inferior a aproximadamente 1 x 10-8 m3/m2/s., o bien artículos para el cuidado personal.
