Abstract

"PROCESSO PARA PRODUZIR UM COMPóSITO DE LIGA DE POLìMERO/ARGILA EM REDE REFORçADO, PRODUTO, COMPóSITO DE LIGA DE POLìMERO/ARGILA EM REDE REFORçADO, E, MéTODO PARA USAR O COMPóSITO DE LIGA DE POLìMERO/ARGILA EM REDE REFORçADO". Um compósito de liga de polímero/argila em rede reforçada é produzido contatando-se uma mistura de monómero/argila com um agente reforçador. A mistura de monómero/argila compreende um monómero, um agente de reticulação e partículas de argila. Um meio iniciador é usado para iniciar a polimerização da mistura de monómero/argila, enquanto o agente de reticulação concorrentemente atua para formar em rede as espécies oligoméricas e poliméricas formadas durante a polimerização para produzir uma liga de polímero/argila em rede na presença do agente reforçador. A liga de polímero/argila em rede é intimamente integrada com o agente reforçador tal que, na exposição à água, a liga de polímero/argila em rede intumesce sem separar substancialmente nenhuma argila do compósito.
