Opisani su 4-benzoil izoksazol derivati formule I: gde: R predstavlja alkil, alkenil, alkinil, haloalkil, haloalkenil, haloalkinil po izboru supstituisani sa cikloalkil,-CO2R3 COR5, cijano, nitro, -CONR31R4 grupom ili atomom halogena, R1 predstavlja vodonik, alkil, alkenil, alkinil, haloalkil, haloalkenil, haloal kil grupu ili po izboru supstituisanu cikloalkil grupu R2 predstavlja halogen, R5, SR5, SOR5, -SO2R5, -SO2NR31R4,-CO2R3,-COR5,-CONR31R4,1CSNR31R4,-OR5, nitro, cijano,-O(CH2)q-OR5 ili alkil grupu supstituisanu sa OR5' R3,R31 i R4, koji mogu biti isti ili različiti, svaki predstavlja vodonik ili alkil ili haloalkil grupu, R5 predstavlja alkil ili haloalkil grupu, n predstavlja broj 1-5 i q predstavlja broj 1-3, i agrikulturno prihvatljive njihove soli, i njihova primena kao herbicida.
