- the present invention aims to provide a powdered solid cosmetic product that suppresses the occurrence of unpleasant odors in a powdered solid cosmetic product that uses tranexamic acid in combination with a fatty acid or its salt, and that has an excellent feel when used.
- the present invention provides (A) tranexamic acid or a derivative thereof or a salt thereof,
- the present invention provides a powdery solid cosmetic preparation comprising (B) a fatty acid or a salt thereof, and (C) finely divided zinc oxide.
- the present invention can provide excellent stability over time in a powdered solid cosmetic product containing tranexamic acid and a fatty acid or its salt.
- it is possible to incorporate titanium oxide that has been surface-treated with a fatty acid or its salt, so that it is possible to achieve a high ultraviolet protection effect without incorporating a large amount of ultraviolet absorber, and it is also possible to obtain a powdered solid cosmetic product that is excellent in impact resistance and usability.
- the cosmetic preparation of the present invention is characterized by containing (A) tranexamic acid or a derivative thereof or a salt thereof, (B) a fatty acid or a salt thereof, and (C) fine particle zinc oxide.
- A tranexamic acid or a derivative thereof or a salt thereof
- B a fatty acid or a salt thereof
- C fine particle zinc oxide.
- tranexamic acid (A) or a derivative thereof or a salt thereof (hereinafter, sometimes simply referred to as "component (A)") of the present invention is not particularly limited as long as it can be generally blended into cosmetics.
- tranexamic acid examples include trans-4-aminomethylcyclohexane-1-carboxylic acid
- derivatives of tranexamic acid include dimers of tranexamic acid (e.g., trans-4-(trans-aminomethylcyclohexanecarbonyl)aminomethylcyclohexanecarboxylic acid hydrochloride, etc.), esters of tranexamic acid (e.g., cetyl tranexamate), esters of tranexamic acid and hydroquinone (e.g., 4-(trans-aminomethylcyclohexanecarboxylic acid 4'-hydroxyphenyl ester, etc.), esters of tranexamic acid and gentisic acid (e.g., 2-(trans-4-aminomethylcyclohexylcarbonyloxy)-5-hydroxybenzoic acid, etc.), and the like.

- tranexamic acid and cetyl tranexamate hydrochloride are preferably used.
- the amount of component (A) is not particularly limited as long as it exerts the intended effect, but is usually 0.5 to 5.0% by mass, preferably 0.55 to 4.0% by mass, and more preferably 0.6 to 3.0% by mass, based on the total amount of the cosmetic.
- fatty acid (B) or salt thereof of the present invention (hereinafter sometimes simply referred to as "component (B)") is not particularly limited so long as it can be generally incorporated into cosmetics, but in the present invention, saturated fatty acids having 12 to 22 carbon atoms are preferred. Specific examples include lauric acid, myristic acid, palmitic acid, stearic acid, behenic acid, etc., and salts of fatty acids include calcium salts, magnesium salts, aluminum salts, etc. of these.
- the fatty acid or salt (B) of the present invention can be used as a surface treatment agent for powders.
- aluminum salts of myristic acid, aluminum salts of stearic acid, and aluminum salts of behenic acid are commonly used as hydrophobic surface treatment agents for powders, and the cosmetic composition of the present invention may contain component (B) as a surface treatment agent for titanium oxide (D), which will be described later.
- the blending amount of the (B) component is not particularly limited, but may be an amount that may cause an unpleasant odor over time when blended together with tranexamic acid in the cosmetic.
- the inventors have confirmed that an unpleasant odor occurs when the blending amount of the (B) component relative to the total amount of the cosmetic is 0.1% by mass or more. Therefore, the blending amount of the (B) component is, for example, 0.1 to 3% by mass relative to the total amount of the cosmetic.
- the cosmetic ingredient labeling may indicate the total amount of component (B) and the powder relative to the total amount of the cosmetic.
- the total amount of component (B) and the powder is preferably 1.5 to 15% by mass, and more preferably 2 to 10% by mass, relative to the total amount of the cosmetic. If the total amount of component (B) and the powder exceeds 15% by mass, the odor suppression effect may be reduced.
- the component (B) can be blended as a hydrophobizing surface treatment agent for titanium oxide (D) described below.
- the blending amount is shown as the total blending amount of the component (B) and the component (D).
- the fine particle zinc oxide (C) of the present invention (hereinafter, may be simply referred to as “component (C)”) can be any that is generally blended into cosmetics and is not particularly limited, and includes untreated zinc oxide and zinc oxide the surface of which has been treated to make it hydrophobic.
- Substances used in the hydrophobization treatment of zinc oxide particles include silicones such as methylhydrogenpolysiloxane, dimethylpolysiloxane, and alkyl-modified silicone resins, dextrin fatty acid esters, higher fatty acids, fatty acid esters, metal soaps, amino acids, alkyl phosphate ethers, alkyl ether phosphate esters, and fluorine compounds. Of these, it is preferable to use dextrin fatty acid esters such as dextrin palmitate, and higher fatty acids such as isostearic acid.
- the fine particle zinc oxide preferably has an average particle diameter of 100 nm or less, and more preferably 10 to 100 nm.
- the average particle diameter refers to a value measured by the number-average diameter method using image analysis of transmission electron microscope photographs.
- the amount of component (C) is preferably 0.5 to 10% by mass, and more preferably 1 to 7% by mass, based on the total amount of the cosmetic. If it is less than 0.5% by mass, the effect of suppressing odor may not be sufficient, and if it exceeds 10% by mass, the feeling of use may be poor, such as a squeaky feeling when applied.
- titanium oxide may be further blended in addition to the above-mentioned components (A) to (C).
- the titanium oxide (D) of the present invention (hereinafter sometimes simply referred to as “component (D)”) can be any titanium oxide that is generally blended into cosmetics, without any particular limitations, and includes untreated titanium oxide and titanium oxide the surface of which has been treated to make it hydrophobic.
- the size of the (D) titanium oxide is not particularly limited and may be pigment grade, fine particles, etc.
- pigment grade refers to particles having an average particle diameter of 200 to 400 nm
- fine particles refers to particles having an average particle diameter of 100 nm or less, specifically 10 to 100 nm.
- the average particle diameter refers to a value measured by a number-average diameter method using image analysis of a transmission electron microscope photograph.
- fine particle titanium dioxide whose surface has been subjected to a hydrophobic treatment and whose average particle size is 100 nm or less, preferably 5 to 50 nm.
- the titanium oxide (D) of the present invention can be subjected to a hydrophobic treatment with the surface treatment agent (B) containing a fatty acid or a salt thereof.
- the solid cosmetic preparation in powder form of the present invention may contain, in addition to the titanium oxide (D) that has been hydrophobized with a surface treatment agent containing the above-mentioned (B) fatty acid or a salt thereof, titanium oxide (D) that has been hydrophobized with any surface treatment agent other than the component (B).
- Examples of substances other than the (B) fatty acid or its salt that are used in the hydrophobization treatment of titanium oxide include methylhydrogenpolysiloxane, dimethylpolysiloxane, silicones such as alkyl-modified silicone resins, dextrin fatty acid esters, higher fatty acids other than the (B) component, fatty acid esters, metal soaps other than the (B) component, amino acids, alkyl phosphate ethers, alkyl ether phosphate esters, fluorine compounds, etc.
- the blending amount of component (D) is preferably 0.5 to 15% by mass, and more preferably 2 to 10% by mass, based on the total amount of the cosmetic, from the viewpoint of UV protection effect or improved usability. If it is less than 0.5% by mass, it is difficult to improve usability and obtain sufficient UV protection, and if it exceeds 15% by mass, the odor suppression effect may be reduced when component (D) is surface-treated with component (B).
- the cause of the foul odor occurring in the powdered solid cosmetic of the present invention is believed to be the reaction of the amine groups of tranexamic acid with fatty acids, which increases the deterioration odor of the fatty acids due to exposure to light, resulting in the foul odor.
- emulsion cosmetics even if tranexamic acid and fatty acids coexist, the presence of emulsified particles makes them less susceptible to exposure to light. Therefore, the foul odor is more noticeable in powdered solid cosmetics than in emulsion cosmetics.
- foul odor refers to an unpleasant odor, particularly the unpleasant odor of deterioration of fatty acids.
- fatty acids or their salts are often used as a hydrophobic treatment agent for the powder surface.
- ultraviolet scattering agents i.e., fine particle titanium dioxide
- fine particle titanium dioxide has a larger surface area than pigment-grade titanium dioxide. Therefore, when such fine particle titanium dioxide is hydrophobically treated with a surface treatment agent containing a fatty acid or its salt, it comes into contact with tranexamic acid more frequently, resulting in more noticeable odor changes. Therefore, the present invention is particularly useful in an embodiment in which fine particle titanium dioxide that has been hydrophobically treated with a surface treatment agent containing a fatty acid or its salt is blended in a powdered solid cosmetic containing tranexamic acid.
- the cosmetic of the present invention can be appropriately blended with other cosmetic components that are typically used in powder solid cosmetics.
- other cosmetic components include powders other than the above-mentioned components (C) and (D), oily components, surfactants, moisturizers, thickeners, fragrances, antioxidants, various medicines, etc.
- powders other than the above-mentioned components (C) and (D) include organic pigments (e.g., Red No. 104, Red No. 202, Red No. 226, Yellow No. 4, Yellow No. 5, Blue No. 1, Black No. 401, etc.); lake pigments (e.g., Yellow No. 4 Aluminum Lake, Blue No.

- the size, shape, etc. of these powders are not particularly limited, and they can be used alone or in combination of two or more.
- the surfaces of these powders may be appropriately treated to be hydrophobic.
- hydrophobic surface treatment agents include the hydrophobic surface treatment agents described above for (C) fine zinc oxide and (D) titanium oxide.
- Oily ingredients are not particularly limited as long as they can be used in general cosmetics, but include liquid oils and fats such as linseed oil, camellia oil, macadamia nut oil, corn oil, mink oil, olive oil, avocado oil, camellia oil, castor oil, safflower oil, jojoba oil, sunflower oil, almond oil, rapeseed oil, sesame oil, soybean oil, peanut oil, triglycerin, glycerin trioctanoate, glycerin triisopalmitate, etc.; solid oils and fats such as cacao butter, coconut oil, hydrogenated coconut oil, palm oil, Japan wax kernel oil, hydrogenated castor oil, horse oil, etc.; beeswax, candelilla wax, carnauba wax, rice bran, etc.
