Definitions
- the invention relates to an auxiliary device for moving one or more frames of a beehive in the form of a magazine hive essentially parallel to the installation surface of the beehive, comprising a frame storage rack and at least one frame displacement element.
- the object of the present invention is to eliminate the above-mentioned disadvantages and to create a mobile auxiliary device for moving individual frames of a magazine hive, which is easy to handle and can easily be transported from one hive to the next.
- the device should be able to be assembled and removed quickly, so that only a single device is necessary even with a large number of existing hives.
- each frame sliding element has at least two interconnected rollers or sliding elements and comprises at least two connecting elements, for example in the form of receptacles, which can be brought into engagement with connection positions fixedly mounted on the frame, for example in the form of projections, when the frame sliding elements are positioned, and wherein the frame displacement element, after the connecting elements have been connected to the connecting positions, can be brought into an operating position by a pivoting movement, in which the frame to be lifted on the roller len or sliding elements is stored and can be moved with little effort on the frame storage rack.
- the frame sliding element enables the individual frames or several frames to be moved easily onto the frame storage rack and back again.
- the frame storage rack is placed around the side or on one of the sides next to a magazine loot.
- the connecting elements of the respective frame displacement elements are brought into engagement with the connecting positions and pivoted into the operating position by a pivoting movement, possibly together with a slight lifting of the frame to be removed.
- the frame then rests on the rollers or sliding elements and can simply be pushed in the direction of the frame storage rack.
- the rollers or the sliding elements can be guided along the upper edges of the side walls of the frame below for part of the displacement path, so that the frame storage rack only has to be positioned behind the hive.
- the frame storage rack can also be positioned with the sliding surfaces on the side of the hive and the rollers or sliding elements can only be guided directly on the frame storage rack.
- the rollers or the sliding elements of the frame displacement element create a spacing between the frame to be displaced and the frame below, which minimizes the risk of the bees being squeezed in the gap when moving. This is not the case with many prior art devices with permanently mounted running rails.
- each frame sliding element is adjustable in length, for example by means of a telescopic connection, and can be fixed in different lengths so that the frame sliding element can be adapted to different frame shapes.
- the frame displacement element can be adapted to different lengths or widths of magazine bags, it is provided that its length can be adjusted.
- This can be implemented, for example, in that it consists of two parts pushed into one another, which can be fixed in different positions relative to one another by means of a clamp connection. The distance only needs to be set and fixed the first time it is used, after which the frame sliding element can be used quickly on all frames of the same construction.
- rollers or sliding elements are arranged on a frame displacement element at one end of a leg of a two-sided lever pivotable about a pivot point, a handle for the user being arranged at the end of the other leg. Due to the lever arm designed as a handle, the pivoting movement for lifting the frame into the operating position can be carried out with particularly little effort.
- the pivot point is formed by the connecting element which is in engagement with the connecting position.
- the connecting element which is in engagement with the connecting position.
- This allows a particularly simple construction of the frame displacement element. It thus comprises only two rollers or sliding elements, which are each arranged on one leg of an associated lever, and a handle which connects the other two legs of the two levers to one another.
- the connecting element At the fulcrum of the lever is the connecting element, for example designed as a hook-shaped recess, which is brought into engagement with the connecting position on the frame, for example a pin, which serves as a projection, when the frame displacement element is positioned.
- the connecting element serves, on the one hand, to connect to the frame and, on the other hand, as a joint for the lever by means of which the frame is lifted into the operating position.
- a spacer element is provided to secure the operating position of the frame sliding element. This is particularly advantageous in those embodiments in which the frame storage rack is placed behind the hive. Since the frame sliding element is not levered under the frame here, it would fold back into its starting position when released. In order to prevent this, a spacer element is provided which can be designed, for example, as a pin that is placed between the frame wall and the handle. The position of the frame displacement element in the operating position is thus secured and folding back into the starting position is avoided.
- the bilateral lever in order to secure the operating position of the frame displacement element, can be pivoted beyond its dead center and is then held in the operating position via a stop.
- This is particularly preferred in the variant with sliding surfaces of the frame storage rack that are laterally adjacent to the hive.
- the lever is moved beyond its dead center, whereby it is automatically pressed against an end stop by the weight of the frame, which secures the operating position.
- the lever In order to move the frame sliding element back into the starting position, the lever must be swiveled past the dead center again.
- the frame storage rack comprises at least one, preferably several modular individual elements, which can be arranged laterally next to one of the sides of a beehive at the level of the frame to be moved, and that if necessary on the opposite side of the one below Frame projection elements, for example in the form of angles fastened to the frame, are arranged for placing the frame displacement element.
- the frame sliding elements are placed on the one hand over the fixed bracket and on the other hand over the frame storage frame on the front and back of the hive and then pivoted into the operating position by performing the pivoting movement, whereby the frame is raised.
- the rollers or sliding elements of the front frame displacement element When moving onto the frame storage rack, the rollers or sliding elements of the front frame displacement element are then largely guided on the upper edge of the frame side wall below.
- several modular individual elements of the frame storage rack can also be stacked on top of one another and optionally connected to one another.
- the frame storage rack is adjustable in its width and height in order to be adaptable to different dimensions of beehives.
- the width and height of the frame storage rack must also be adjusted.
- the width and height can be adjusted using various known methods.
- the frame storage rack comprises two sliding surfaces which are connected to one another by means of at least one scissor joint, whereby an adjustment of the width of the frame storage rack is possible, and that the frame storage rack has supports that can be displaced relative to the sliding surfaces for adjusting the height, which can be fixed in different positions, for example by means of a perforated grid.
- Other variants, such as plug connections with predefined heights or spindle drives for adjusting the width and height, are also possible.
- the variant with a connected scissor joint also enables the entire auxiliary device to be transported in a very space-saving manner.
- the sliding surfaces of the frame storage rack can be designed with a coating with a low coefficient of friction, with rollers, with flange rollers or as a conveyor belt. The same also applies to the rollers and sliding elements. These can also be designed in a wide variety of ways, such as flanged rollers, chains, fillet wheels, runners, etc.
- a projection is formed on the frame storage rack and / or on the frame displacement element, which serves as an end stop for the displacement path, so that the frame (s) to be displaced is / are secured against falling.
- a projection can be produced, for example, by lateral projections on the frame storage frame, which come into engagement with corresponding opposing stop surfaces on the frame displacement element when the frame reaches the maximum displacement position.

- FIG. 5 an embodiment variant is shown which is constructed similarly to that from FIGS. 1 and 2.
- the bilateral levers 10 of this embodiment are, however, only connected via the handle 12.
- Hook-shaped recesses which can be brought into engagement with corresponding connection positions 8 in the form of pins fastened to the frame, serve as connecting elements 6.
- the connecting element 6, together with the connecting position 8 serves as a joint and forms the pivot point for the lever 10.
- the lever can be moved past its dead center and the operating position is secured by the stop of the handle 12.
- FIG. 5 As can also be seen in FIG.
- the storage of the upper frame 2 on the frame displacement element 4 in the operating position between the two frames 1, 2 results in a gap which minimizes the risk of injury to the bees when moving, which is the case with rail systems with a very narrow gap is not given.
- the sliding surfaces 5 of the frame storage rack 3 can be manufactured in such a way that, through their thickness, they laterally cover the resulting gap and thus prevent the bees from escaping at these points.
