成分(B)が成分(B2)を含有することは任意であり、成分(B1)および成分(B2)の配合比率は特に限定されない。成分(B1)とともに成分(B2)を用いる場合は、成分(B1)の含有量は、成分(B1)及び(B2)の合計量に対して、通常1重量%以上、好ましくは5重量%以上、より好ましくは10重量%以上である。上限は特に限定されず、通常100重量%である。成分(B1)の含有量を上記下限値以上とすることにより、本発明のエラストマー組成物から成形された医療容器栓体における液漏れシール性及び耐熱性が向上する。
本発明の熱可塑性エラストマーに用いられる成分(C)は、炭化水素系ゴム用軟化剤である。成分(C)は、エラストマー組成物を軟化させ、柔軟性、弾性、加工性、流動性を向上させると共に、得られる成形体の外観等の向上や、医療容器栓体に成形した場合はその液漏れシール性および針刺し特性等のバランスの向上に寄与する。
本発明の熱可塑性エラストマー組成物は、上記成分(A)、成分(B)及び成分(C)を所定の割合で含有するものである。
本発明の熱可塑性エラストマー組成物には、成分(A)~(C)以外に本発明の効果を損なわない範囲で、必要に応じてその他の成分を配合することができる。
本発明の熱可塑性エラストマー組成物は、上述の各成分を所定の割合で混合することにより製造される。
本発明のエラストマー組成物は、硬度がISO 7619-1に準拠して測定されたデュロ硬度Aで、10~40であることが好ましい。デュロ硬度Aは、好ましくは40以下、より好ましくは38以下、さらに好ましくは36以下である。また、好ましくは10以上、より好ましくは15以上、さらに好ましくは20以上である。
本発明のエラストマー組成物を成形した成形体は、医療容器栓体等の医療用部材として好適に用いることができる。
本発明の医療用部材は、以上で説明した本発明のエラストマー組成物を成形することにより得ることができる。用いることのできる成形方法としては通常の射出成形法、圧縮成形法、押出成形法、又は必要に応じて、ガスインジェクション成形法、射出圧縮成形法、ショートショット成形法等の各種成形方法が挙げられるが、これらのうち、成形サイクルや量産性を考えると、射出成形又は圧縮成形が好ましい。
本発明の医療用部材は、圧縮永久歪が小さく、柔軟性、液漏れシール性、針刺し特性、滅菌安定性、成形加工性等に優れる。このため、本発明の医療用部材は、より具体的には、液剤用バイアル、粉末製剤用バイアル、真空採血管、輸液バッグ等の医療容器栓体;採血針カバー、シリンジ等の医療用キャップ;ディスポシリンジ、プレフィルドシリンジ等の医療用ガスケット;O-リング等の医療用パッキン;輸液、人工透析、連結管、駆血帯、呼吸器等のカテーテル・チューブ;マスク、バッグ、リザーバー等の蘇生器等として好適に用いることができる。本発明の医療用部材は、これらの中でも医療容器栓体として特に好適に用いることができ、医療用ゴム栓として最も好適に用いることができる。
(1)下記成分(A)、成分(B)及び成分(C)を含み、これらの合計量に対し、成分(A)を20~80重量%、成分(B)を1~25重量%、成分(C)を1~70重量%含む熱可塑性エラストマー組成物からなる医療用部材。
成分(A):ビニル芳香族化合物に由来する重合体ブロックと共役ジエン及び/又はイソブチレンに由来する重合体ブロックとを有するブロック共重合体、並びに該ブロック共重合体を水素添加してなるブロック共重合体から選ばれる少なくとも1つのブロック共重合体
成分(B):下記成分(B1)を含むポリプロピレン系樹脂
成分(B1):ポリプロピレン系樹脂を共役ジエン化合物でグラフト変性した変性ポリプロピレン
成分(C):炭化水素系ゴム用軟化剤
(2)前記成分(B1)の共役ジエン化合物がイソプレンである、前記(1)に記載の医療用部材。
(3)前記成分(B1)のメルトフローレート(ISO 1133(230℃、荷重2.16kg))が0.1~200g/10分である、前記(1)又は(2)に記載の医療用部材。
(4)前記成分(A)の重量平均分子量(Mw)が100,000~500,000である、前記(1)乃至(3)のいずれか1つに記載の医療用部材。
(5)前記熱可塑性エラストマー組成物のデュロ硬度A(ISO 7619-1)が10~40である、前記(1)乃至(4)のいずれか1つに記載の医療用部材。
(6)医療用ゴム栓である、前記(1)乃至(5)のいずれか1つに記載の医療用部材。
実施例及び比較例で使用した材料を以下に示す。
A-1:クラレ社製「セプトン(登録商標)J3341」(スチレン-イソプレン-ブタジエン-スチレンブロック共重合体の水素添加物)〔重量平均分子量(Mw):340,000、スチレン含有量:40重量%〕
A-2:クラレ社製「ハイブラー(登録商標)7135」(スチレン-イソプレン-スチレンブロック共重合体の水素添加物)〔重量平均分子量:280,000、スチレン含有量:33重量%〕
A-3:クラレ社製「セプトン(登録商標)4055」(スチレン-イソプレン-ブタジエン-スチレンブロック共重合体の水素添加物)〔重量平均分子量(Mw):290,000、スチレン含有量:30重量%〕
A-4:クレイトンポリマー社製「クレイトン(登録商標)G1651HU」(スチレン-ブタジエン-スチレンブロック共重合体の水素添加物)〔重量平均分子量(Mw):250,000、スチレン含有量:33重量%〕

d-1:BASFジャパン社製「イルガノックス(登録商標)1330」(ヒンダードフェノール系酸化防止剤)
e-1:東レ・ダウコーニング社製「SH200-100CS」(シリコーンオイル)〔動粘度(25℃):100cSt〕
表-1に示す各原料を、同方向二軸押出機(東芝機械社製「TEM-26SS」、シリンダー口径:26mm)に20kg/時の速度で投入し、180~240℃の範囲で昇温させて溶融混練を行い、エラストマー組成物を製造した。得られたエラストマー組成物を、射出成形機(東芝機械社製「IS130GN-5A」)を用いてシート状に成形した。射出成形の条件は、樹脂温度:180~240℃、射出時間:2~20秒、金型温度:20~60℃、冷却時間:10~50秒の範囲とした。得られた射出成形シート(厚み2mm)を用いて、以下の(1)~(3)の評価を行った。これらの評価結果を表-1に示す。
エラストマー組成物を用いたゴム栓性能の評価方法は次の通りである。
ISO7619-1に基づき、硬度(タイプAデュロメータ)を測定した。ゴム栓として用いるには、穿刺時の反力、穿刺後の再シール性の観点から、デュロ硬度A10以上40以下であることが好ましい。
ISO815に基づき、圧縮永久歪を測定した。ゴム栓として用いるには、加熱滅菌後の形状保持性の観点から、圧縮永久歪が45%以下であることが好ましい。
本評価では、医療用ゴム栓に要求される特性について以下の方法で評価を行った。
射出成形シートを用い、直径28mmの試験片を打ち抜き、図1に示す治具に取り付けた。次いで医療用プラスチック針(テルモ社製TK-U200L)2を200mm/minの速度で試験片3に刺し込み、刺通する(プラスチック針2が試験片3を貫通する)までの最大荷重(刺通抵抗)と変位量(刺通伸び)を、オートグラフを用いて測定した。測定は3回行い、3回の平均値を求め、その値から以下の評価基準に従って評価した。
〔評価基準〕
◎:刺通抵抗が30N以下かつ刺通伸びが15mm以下であるもの
○:刺通抵抗が40N以下かつ刺通伸びが20mm以下であって、「◎」の基準に該当しないもの
×:刺通抵抗が40N以上または刺通伸びが20mm以上であって、「○」の基準に該当しないもの
射出成形シートを用い、直径18mmの試験片を打ち抜き、500mLの消毒用エタノール(健栄製薬社製「消毒用エタノールIPA」)を充填した市販の500mL飲料用PETボトルの口栓部に取り付けた。口栓部には、試験片とPETボトルとの間から液漏れが無いよう、専用の治具を取り付け、PETボトルを正立させて設置した。次いで、この試験片に対し、垂直上方から医療用プラスチック針(テルモ社製TK-U200L)を手で刺し込んだ。この状態で24時間放置し、プラスチック針を抜いた直後に倒立させ、連続滴下が発生するか否かを確認し、あわせて40秒間に滴下した水量(液漏れ量)を測定した。なお、連続滴下がなく、液漏れ量が少ない方が望ましく、液漏れ量が1滴(0.05g)未満であることがより望ましい。
測定は3回行い、3回の平均値を求め、その値から以下の評価基準に従って評価した。
〔評価基準〕
◎:連続滴下がなく、かつ液漏れ量が0.05g未満であるもの
○:連続滴下がなく、かつ液漏れ量が0.05g以上0.10g未満であるもの
×:1個以上の試験片で連続滴下があるか、もしくは液漏れ量が0.10g以上であるもの
これに対して、成分(B)として成分(B1)を含まない比較例1では、圧縮永久歪が大きく、液漏れシール性に劣っている。
また、成分(B1)の含有量が多過ぎる比較例2では、圧縮永久歪が更に大きく、針刺し特性及び液漏れシール性の低下が顕著である。

Claims (9)
- 下記成分(A)、成分(B)及び成分(C)を含み、これらの合計量に対し、成分(A)を20~80重量%、成分(B)を1~25重量%、成分(C)を1~70重量%含む熱可塑性エラストマー組成物からなるエラストマー組成物。
成分(A):ビニル芳香族化合物に由来する重合体ブロックと共役ジエン及びイソブチレンから選ばれる少なくとも1つに由来する重合体ブロックとを有するブロック共重合体、並びに該ブロック共重合体を水素添加してなるブロック共重合体から選ばれる少なくとも1つのブロック共重合体
成分(B):下記成分(B1)を含むポリプロピレン系樹脂
成分(B1):ポリプロピレン系樹脂をジエン化合物でグラフト変性した変性ポリプロピレン
成分(C):炭化水素系ゴム用軟化剤 - 前記成分(B1)の前記ジエン化合物が共役ジエン化合物である、請求項1に記載のエラストマー組成物。
- 前記成分(B1)の前記共役ジエン化合物がイソプレンである、請求項2に記載のエラストマー組成物。
- 前記成分(B1)のメルトフローレート(ISO 1133(230℃、荷重2.16kg))が0.1~200g/10分である、請求項1乃至3のいずれか1項に記載のエラストマー組成物。
- 前記成分(A)の重量平均分子量(Mw)が100,000~500,000である、請求項1乃至4のいずれか1項に記載のエラストマー組成物。
- 前記エラストマー組成物のデュロ硬度A(ISO 7619-1)が10~40である、請求項1乃至5のいずれか1項に記載のエラストマー組成物。
- 医療容器栓体用エラストマー組成物である、請求項1乃至6のいずれか1項に記載のエラストマー組成物。
- 請求項1乃至7のいずれか1項に記載のエラストマー組成物から形成された医療容器栓体。
- 医療用ゴム栓である、請求項8に記載の医療容器栓体。
