Claims (8)
- ターボチャージャに設けられたウェストゲートバルブの制御方法であって、上記ウェストゲートバルブは、アクチュエータと、該アクチュエータに駆動されて回転中心を中心に揺動運動するアームと、該アームの先端に支持された弁体と、上記アームと上記弁体との間に介装されたばね部材と、を備えてなるウェストゲートバルブの制御方法において、
上記ウェストゲートバルブを開状態から全閉位置へと閉じるときに、上記弁体が局部的に着座した段階で上記アクチュエータの駆動力を増加させる、ウェストゲートバルブの制御方法。 - 上記ウェストゲートバルブを開状態から全閉位置へと閉じるときに、上記弁体が着座する直前に上記アクチュエータの駆動力を第1のレベルから第2のレベルへと低下させ、上記弁体が局部的に着座した段階で上記駆動力を上記第2のレベルから第3のレベルへと増加させる、請求項1に記載のウェストゲートバルブの制御方法。
- 上記第3のレベルは、上記ばね部材を変位させ得る駆動力の大きさを有する、請求項2に記載のウェストゲートバルブの制御方法。
- 閉方向へ移動中の上記弁体が所定位置に達したことをセンサによって検出したときに、上記駆動力を上記第1のレベルから上記第2のレベルへと低下させる、請求項2または3に記載のウェストゲートバルブの制御方法。
- 上記弁体が所定位置に達してから所定時間経過したときに、上記弁体が局部的に着座したものとみなして、上記駆動力を上記第2のレベルから上記第3のレベルへと増加させる、請求項4に記載のウェストゲートバルブの制御方法。
- 上記第3のレベルは上記第1のレベルよりも小さな駆動力に設定されている、請求項2~5のいずれかに記載のウェストゲートバルブの制御方法。
- 過給圧の検出に基づくウェストゲートバルブ開度のフィードバック制御と、所定の条件のときに過給圧に関わらずウェストゲートバルブ開度を全閉とするオープンループ制御と、を有し、上記オープンループ制御による全閉動作のときに上記駆動力の変更を実行する、請求項1~6のいずれかに記載のウェストゲートバルブの制御方法。
- ターボチャージャと、
アクチュエータ、該アクチュエータに駆動されて回転中心を中心に揺動運動するアーム、該アームの先端に支持された弁体、上記アームと上記弁体との間に介装されたばね部材、を備えてなるウェストゲートバルブと、
上記ウェストゲートバルブを開状態から全閉位置へと閉じる指令を受けたときに、上記アクチュエータの駆動力を第1のレベルとして閉方向へ動作させ、上記弁体が着座する直前に上記アクチュエータの駆動力を第1のレベルから第2のレベルへと低下させ、上記弁体が局部的に着座した段階で上記駆動力を上記第2のレベルから第3のレベルへと増加させる制御部と、
を備えてなるウェストゲートバルブの制御装置。
