Abstract

Description

導風ユニットおよび冷却モジュール 関連出願への相互参照
 本出願は、2015年7月10日に出願された日本特許出願番号2015-138450号に基づくもので、ここにその記載内容が参照により組み入れられる。
 本開示は、自動車のエンジンルームに設けられる導風ユニットおよび冷却モジュールに関するものである。
 上記の導風ユニットのように空気を導くものの1つとして、例えば、特許文献1に記載された車両のインタークーラ冷却用ダクトが知られている。そのインタークーラ冷却用ダクトは、車両のエンジンフードのエンジンルーム側に形成された空気吹出口とインタークーラの空気取入口とをつなぐダクトである。
 具体的にその特許文献1のインタークーラ冷却用ダクトは、エンジンフードの空気吹出口に連結された上端開口と、エンジンフードの閉時においてインタークーラの空気取入口に対して衝合させられる下端開口とを備えている。そして、インタークーラ冷却用ダクトは、エンジンフード内を通過して上記空気吹出口から出た外気をインタークーラに送給する。

 自動車の例えばエンジンルームには、冷却機能を果たす冷却モジュール、言い換えればクーリングモジュールが設けられている。そのクーリングモジュールは、エンジン冷却水を放熱させるラジエータと、車室内の空調を行う空調装置の放熱器であるコンデンサと、冷却風を起こす送風機と、それらを固定し冷却風を案内するシュラウドとから構成されている。そして、空調装置で循環する冷媒の熱やエンジン冷却水の熱は、走行風や送風機による冷却風によって放熱されている。
 しかし、自動車のレイアウト上、クーリングモジュールは通常、エンジンルーム内の前方に配置される。そのため、クーリングモジュールが捨てた熱、すなわちラジエータおよびコンデンサにて外気へ移った熱は、クーリングモジュールに対して車両後方に配置された走行用エンジンに流れるので、放熱効率を低下させる原因となっている。
 また近年、エンジンルームの縮小化および走行用エンジンの後方排気化に伴い、エンジンルーム内のうち走行用エンジンに対する車両後方のエンジン後方空間に熱がこもりやすくなっている。その結果として、その周辺の電子部品などへ熱害を与えるということが想定される。
 そこで、発明者らは、例えば車両前方からエンジンルーム内へ流入する前面風を上記エンジン後方空間へ導くダクトを設けることを考えた。これにより、通常の車両走行中には上記前面風はエンジン後方空間へと導かれる。しかし、走行用エンジンのアイドリング中または低速走行中に送風機が稼働し車両前方から空気を吸う場合には、ダクトの車両前方側が負圧になるので、その送風機は、車両前方から空気を吸うと共に、ダクトを通じてエンジン後方空間からも空気を吸う状況となる。
 そのような状況になれば、送風機が車両前方から吸う車両前方風量、すなわちラジエータおよびコンデンサを通過する熱交換器通過風量が、ダクトを設けない構成と比較して却って減少する。このような事態は、特許文献1のインタークーラ冷却用ダクトが上記ダクトとして適用されたとしても解消することはできない。発明者らの詳細な検討の結果、以上のようなことが見出された。
 本開示は上記点に鑑みて、車両前方からエンジンルーム内へ流入する空気を上記エンジン後方空間へ導くことを可能としつつ、エンジンルーム内でエンジン後方空間の空気が導風ダクトを通じて車両前方へ流れることを抑制することを目的とする。
 上記目的を達成するため、本開示の1つの観点によれば、本開示の導風ユニットは、
 走行用エンジンが配置されるエンジンルームの車両前方にて開口したエンジンルーム開口部からエンジンルーム内へ空気が流入する自動車に適用される導風ユニットであって、
 空調装置の放熱器と走行用エンジンを冷却するためのエンジン冷却用熱交換器と送風機とが固定され、エンジンルーム開口部を経て放熱器およびエンジン冷却用熱交換器を通過する空気を案内し、通風孔が形成されたシュラウドと、
 通風孔にてシュラウドに接続されその通風孔を通して開口する第1開口部とエンジンルーム内のうち走行用エンジンに対する車両後方に開口する第2開口部とを有し、第1開口部と第2開口部との間に空気を流すダクト内流路を形成する導風ダクトと、
 その導風ダクトに設けられ、ダクト内流路の開度を増減するバルブ部とを備えている。
 このように、導風ダクトの第1開口部は、通風孔にてシュラウドに接続され、その通風孔を通して開口する。そして、導風ダクトの第2開口部は、エンジンルーム内のうち走行用エンジンに対する車両後方に開口する。従って、車両前方からエンジンルーム内へ流入する空気を、エンジンルーム内のうち走行用エンジンに対する車両後方のエンジン後方空間へ導くことが可能である。更に、導風ダクトにはバルブ部が設けられているので、エンジンルーム内でエンジン後方空間の空気が導風ダクトを通じて車両前方へ流れることを、そのバルブ部によって抑制することが可能である。

 以下、本開示の実施形態について図に基づいて説明する。なお、以下の各実施形態相互において、互いに同一もしくは均等である部分には、図中、同一符号を付してある。
 (第1実施形態)
 図1は、本実施形態における冷却モジュール10の全体構成を車両上側から視た模式図である。図1の矢印DR1、DR2および後述する図2の矢印DR3は、冷却モジュール10が搭載された車両12の向きを示す。すなわち、図1の両端矢印DR1は車両前後方向DR1を示し、両端矢印DR2は車両左右方向DR2すなわち車両幅方向DR2を示し、図2の両端矢印DR3は車両上下方向DR3を示している。
 図1に示すように、車両12言い換えれば自動車12には、自動車12のうちの車両前方にエンジンルーム14が形成されている。そして、冷却モジュール10は、そのエンジンルーム14のうち、車両前後方向DR1においてエンジンルーム開口部2と走行用エンジン16との間の部位から走行用エンジン16の後方にかけて配置されている。
 ここで、エンジンルーム14は、走行用エンジン16が配置される空間であって、自動車12のうち乗員室(すなわち、車室)に対して車両前方に設けられたフロントエンジンルームである。また、エンジンルーム開口部2は、エンジンルーム14の車両前方にて開口して車両前後方向DR1に空気が通過する開口部であり、自動車12のフロントグリル4に形成されている。このようにフロントグリル4にエンジンルーム開口部2が設けられているので、例えば走行風などの車室外空気すなわち外気は、そのエンジンルーム開口部2を通り抜け、エンジンルーム開口部2からエンジンルーム14内へ流入する。
 具体的には図1に示すように、冷却モジュール10は、コンデンサ20、ラジエータ30、電動ファン40、シュラウド50、導風ダクト60、および、バルブ部としての開閉バルブ70を備えている。このシュラウド50、導風ダクト60、および開閉バルブ70は全体として、冷却モジュール10において空気を導く導風ユニットを構成している。
 冷却モジュール10のうちコンデンサ20、ラジエータ30、電動ファン40、およびシュラウド50は、車両前後方向DR1においてエンジンルーム開口部2と走行用エンジン16との間に配置されている。コンデンサ20は、車室内の空調を行う空調装置の一構成要素であり、その空調装置に含まれ冷媒を循環させる冷凍サイクル装置を、圧縮機、減圧弁、および蒸発器とともに構成する。詳細に、コンデンサ20は、圧縮機から吐出される高圧冷媒の熱を外気へ放熱させてその高圧冷媒を凝縮させる放熱器としての熱交換器である。
 ラジエータ30は、コンデンサ20に対して車両後方で且つ電動ファン40に対して車両前方に配置されている。ラジエータ30は、走行用エンジン16を冷却するためのエンジン冷却用熱交換器である。ラジエータ30は、具体的には、走行用エンジン16内を循環する熱媒体としてのエンジン冷却水の熱を外気へ放熱させることにより走行用エンジン16を冷却する。
 また、ラジエータ30は、導入流路50a内の空気流れ方向において電動ファン40に対し上流側に配置されている。導入流路50aは、エンジンルーム開口部2から吸い込んだ空気流を図1中矢印Kの如くコンデンサ20およびラジエータ30を通過して電動ファン40に導くための空気通路である。導入流路50a内の空気流れ方向とは、導入流路50aを流れる複数の空気流のうち風量が最も多い主流の流れ方向のことである。
 電動ファン40は、例えば軸流式の送風機であり、自動車12の前方からエンジンルーム開口部2を通してコンデンサ20およびラジエータ30を通過させる空気流(すなわち冷却風)を発生させる。言い換えれば、電動ファン40は、コンデンサ20およびラジエータ30を通過した空気を車両前方から吸い込むと共に、その吸い込んだ空気を車両後方へ吹き出す。そして、電動ファン40は、オンとオフとの何れかに切り替えられる。すなわち、電動ファン40はオンにされた場合には、作動して上記のように空気を車両前方から吸い込み、オフにされた場合には停止する。
 シュラウド50は車両ボデー6に固定されており、シュラウド50には、コンデンサ20とラジエータ30と電動ファン40とが固定されている。それらは、シュラウド50に対して直接的に固定されていても間接的に固定されていても構わない。本実施形態では例えば、ラジエータ30および電動ファン40はシュラウド50に直接固定されている。そして、コンデンサ20は直接にはラジエータ30に固定され、そのラジエータ30を介してシュラウド50に固定されている。
 また、シュラウド50は、エンジンルーム開口部2から吸い込んだ空気流をコンデンサ20およびラジエータ30を通過して電動ファン40に導くための導入流路50aを形成するケーシングである。言い換えれば、シュラウド50は、エンジンルーム開口部2を経てコンデンサ20およびラジエータ30を通過する空気(すなわち外気)を案内する導風部材である。シュラウド50は、コンデンサ20とラジエータ30との間に形成される空間と、ラジエータ30と電動ファン40との間に形成される空間とをそれぞれ筒状に取り囲むように形成されている。
 また、シュラウド50には、導入流路50aを流れる空気の一部を導風ダクト60内へ流入させる通風孔50bが形成されている。その通風孔50bは、導入流路50a内の空気流れにおいてラジエータ30の下流側で且つ電動ファン40の上流側に配置されている。すなわち、車両前後方向DR1で言えば、シュラウド50の通風孔50bは、ラジエータ30に対し車両後方で且つ電動ファン40に対し車両前方に配置されている。また、その通風孔50bは、車両幅方向DR2において電動ファン40に対し左右の一方に偏った位置に配置されている。
 導風ダクト60は、エンジンルーム14内において走行用エンジン16の上側に配置された導風管であり、空気を流す空気流路60aであるダクト内流路60aを導風ダクト60内に形成している。具体的に、導風ダクト60は、第1開口部としての前側開口部61と、第2開口部としての後側開口部62とを有し、導風ダクト60のダクト内流路60aは、その前側開口部61と後側開口部62との間に空気を流す。
 導風ダクト60の前側開口部61は、図1および図2に示すように、導風ダクト60のうち車両前方の端部を構成し、通風孔50bにてシュラウド50に接続されると共にその通風孔50bを通して導入流路50aに開口している。そして、前側開口部61は、ラジエータ30に向かって、要するに車両前方を向いて開口している。このように、前側開口部61は、導風ダクト60のシュラウド50側に設けられたダクト入口を形成している。図2は、図1の導風ダクト60、シュラウド50、電動ファン40、および走行用エンジン16を抜粋して示した斜視図である。
 また、導風ダクト60の後側開口部62は、導風ダクト60のうち車両後方の端部を構成し、エンジンルーム14内のうち走行用エンジン16に対する車両後方に開口している。すなわち、後側開口部62は、エンジンルーム14のうち走行用エンジン16に対してエキゾーストマニホールド18側に開口している。このように、後側開口部62は、導風ダクト60のシュラウド50側とは反対側に設けられたダクト出口を形成している。なお、確認的に述べるが、後側開口部62は、その後側開口部62の開口場所が走行用エンジン16に対する車両後方であればよく、車両後方を向いて開口している必要はない。
 そして、導風ダクト60は、前側開口部61から流入した空気を後側開口部62へ流す。
 図3は、図2のIII部分を拡大した図であって、開閉バルブ70の平面図である。この図3に示すように、開閉バルブ70は、導風ダクト60の前側開口部61(図1参照)から後側開口部62へ至る途中に設けられている。開閉バルブ70は、導風ダクト60のダクト内流路60aを開閉するドア機構であり、すなわちダクト内流路60aの開度を増減する。そのダクト内流路60aの開度とはダクト内流路60aの開き度合であり、その開度の増減とは、ダクト内流路60aの流路断面積を増減することである。
 開閉バルブ70は、回動ドア701とドア回動軸702とアクチュエータ703とを有している。その回動ドア701は、図4に示すように平板状の所謂片持ちドアである。図4は、回動ドア701およびドア回動軸702を抜粋して示した斜視図である。回動ドア701およびドア回動軸702は例えば樹脂製であり、一体成形されている。従って、回動ドア701およびドア回動軸702は、導風ダクト60とは別部品として構成されている。
 ドア回動軸702は円柱形状を成しおり、回動ドア701はそのドア回動軸702を中心として回動する。言い換えれば、回動ドア701は、ドア回動軸702の中心線であるドア軸線CLdまわりに回動する。
 詳細には図3および図5に示すように、導風ダクト60は、ドア軸線CLdの軸方向であるドア軸線方向にて回動ドア701に対する一方と他方とにそれぞれ連結部601を有している。すなわち、導風ダクト60は、1対の連結部601を有している。図5は、図3中の矢印V方向から導風ダクト60および開閉バルブ70を視た矢視図である。
 そして、その1対の連結部601はドア回動軸702を介して回動ドア701にそれぞれ連結され、回動ドア701をドア軸線CLdまわりに回動可能に支持している。具体的に、1対の連結部601にはそれぞれドア回動軸702が回動可能に嵌め入れられ、それによって、連結部601は回動ドア701を回動可能に支持している。
 また、図3および図6に示すように、導風ダクト60には、その導風ダクト60の前側開口部61(図1参照)から後側開口部62へ至る途中に設けられた開口孔60fが形成されている。図6は図3のVI-VI断面図である。この開口孔60fは、ダクト内流路60aを導風ダクト60の外部へ連通させる貫通孔である。そして、ドア軸線CLdは、導風ダクト60の長手方向においてその開口孔60fに対し前側開口部61側に偏った位置を通り、且つダクト内流路60aに交差する向き(詳細には、直交する向き)に延びている。
 導風ダクト60の開口孔60fは、何れの向きを向いて導風ダクト60の外部へ開口していても構わない。但し、その開口孔60fは、例えば、開口孔60fが開放されているときに開口孔60fへの空気流入が障害物によって遮られずに空気が開口孔60fへ流入し易い向きを向いていることが好ましい。
 また、導風ダクト60の開口孔60fおよび開閉バルブ70は、前側開口部61から後側開口部62へ至る途中に設けられているが、その途中のうちでも、開口孔60fが開放されたときに空気が開口孔60fへ流入しやすい位置に設けられるのが好ましい。例えば、その開口孔60fおよび開閉バルブ70は、前側開口部61から後側開口部62へ至る途中であって、できるだけ車両前方に設けられるのが好ましい。
 導風ダクト60のうち開口孔60fが形成された孔形成部位602を基準にダクト内流路60aを見れば、ダクト内流路60aは、2つの流路60b、60cを含んで構成されていると言える。すなわち、そのダクト内流路60aは、前側開口部61と孔形成部位602との間の第1開口側流路としての前側流路60bと、孔形成部位602と後側開口部62との間の第2開口側流路としての後側流路60cとを有している。
 そして、開閉バルブ70は、前側流路60bと開口孔60fとを後側流路60cに対して開閉する。詳細に言えば、後側流路60cに対して前側流路60bが閉じられる向きに回動ドア701が回動するほどダクト内流路60aの開度は減少するので、開閉バルブ70はダクト内流路60aの開度を減少させるほど、後側流路60cに対する開口孔60fの開度を増大させる。
 回動ドア701は、その回動ドア701の可動範囲内においてダクト内流路60aの開度を最大としたときに、その開口孔60f内に嵌り込むようになっている。その場合、回動ドア701は、その開口孔60f内に嵌り込むと共に開口孔60fを閉じる。更に言えば、回動ドア701は、導風ダクト60内で回動して開口孔60fを導風ダクト60の内側から閉じる。
 従って、回動ドア701は、ダクト内流路60aの開度を最大とする回動位置に位置決めされた場合には、導風ダクト60の開口孔60fが設けられた部位にてダクト内流路60aの一部を形成する。すなわち、開閉バルブ70は、導風ダクト60の一部分にも成る回動ドア701が導風ダクト60の内側へ倒れる扉構造になっている。なお、回動ドア701が開口孔60fを閉じることとは、その開口孔60fを完全に閉塞することに限らず、回動ドア701の可動範囲内において開口孔60fの開度を最小にすることである。このことは、前側流路60bの開閉に関しても同様である。
 また、導風ダクト60の開口孔60fは、開口孔60f内に嵌り込んだ回動ドア701が回動して開口孔60fから抜け出すことを妨げないように、回動ドア701の外形よりも僅かに大きく形成されている。
 また、回動ドア701は、上述したように導風ダクト60内で回動するので、回動ドア701の可動範囲内においてダクト内流路60aの開度を最小としたときには図7のようになる。図7は、図6と同じVI-VI断面(図3参照)において回動ドア701がダクト内流路60aの開度を最小としたときの状態を示した断面図である。
 すなわち、図7に示すように、回動ドア701は、ドア回動軸702に接合されている軸接合部位701aとは反対側の側縁部分に壁面接触部701bを有している。そして、回動ドア701がその回動ドア701の可動範囲内でダクト内流路60aの開度を最小にしたときには、回動ドア701の壁面接触部701bは、導風ダクト60に含まれダクト内流路60aに面する流路壁面603に接触する。この壁面接触部701bは、例えばゴム等の弾力性を有する材料で構成されており、回動ドア701のうちの壁面接触部701b以外の部分と二色成形などによって一体に構成されている。壁面接触部701bは弾力性を有するので、ダクト内流路60aの開度が最小とされた場合には、壁面接触部701bは流路壁面603に押し当てられ密着する。
 更に、この回動ドア701の壁面接触部701bは、ダクト内流路60aの開度が最大とされる場合すなわち開口孔60fが閉じられる場合には、導風ダクト60のドア突当て部60gに対して導風ダクト60の内側から突き当たる。この場合にも、壁面接触部701bはその壁面接触部701bの弾力性により、導風ダクト60のドア突当て部60gに押し当てられ密着する。その導風ダクト60のドア突当て部60gは、導風ダクト60のうち開口孔60fを形成する孔周縁の一部分である。
 このように、ダクト内流路60aの開度が回動ドア701の回動により最大とされた場合には、それと同時に開口孔60fの開度は最小になる。逆に、ダクト内流路60aの開度が回動ドア701の回動により最小とされた場合には、それと同時に開口孔60fの開度は最大になる。
 開閉バルブ70のアクチュエータ703は例えばステッピングモータ等の電動モータから成り、図3に示すように、そのアクチュエータ703の回転軸はドア回動軸702に連結されている。これにより、アクチュエータ703は、回動ドア701の回動位置を連続的に変化させ位置決めすることができる。
 このアクチュエータ703の作動は制御装置72によって制御される。具体的に、アクチュエータ703を制御する制御装置72は、自動車12の走行速度が予め定められた判定車速以下であり、且つ、電動ファン40が作動して車両前方から空気を吸い込んでいる場合には、回動ドア701の可動範囲内でダクト内流路60aの開度を最小にする。要するに、図7に示すように、後側流路60cに対し前側流路60bを閉じて開口孔60fを開放する。
 その一方で、アクチュエータ703の制御装置72は、上記の前側流路60bを閉じて開口孔60fを開放する条件を満たさない場合には、回動ドア701の可動範囲内でダクト内流路60aの開度を最大にする。具体的に言えば、その制御装置72は、自動車12の走行速度が判定車速よりも大きい場合、または、電動ファン40が車両前方から空気を吸い込まない場合たとえば電動ファン40が停止している場合には、回動ドア701の可動範囲内でダクト内流路60aの開度を最大にする。要するに、それらの場合には図6に示すように、後側流路60cに対し前側流路60bを開放し開口孔60fを閉じる。なお、上記判定車速は、導入流路50a内の空気圧が電動ファン40の作動中に負圧になるほどの低車速を判定できるように予め実験的に定められている。また、走行速度が判定車速以下である場合とは、判定車速以下の低速走行中のほか停車中も含まれる。
 図1および図2に戻り、エキゾーストマニホールド18は、走行用エンジン16から排気ガスを排出する排気管において、走行用エンジン16に接続される複数の排気流路を1つにまとめる多岐管である。エキゾーストマニホールド18は、エンジンルーム14のうち、走行用エンジン16に対して車両後方に配置されている。
 また、本実施形態では、エンジンルーム14のうち走行用エンジン16に対する車両後方には、エキゾーストマニホールド18以外にターボチャージャー用タービンや触媒装置が配置されている。触媒装置は、走行用エンジン16から吹き出される排ガス中の有害成分を還元・酸化によって浄化する装置である。ターボチャージャーは、走行用エンジン16から吹き出される排ガスの内部エネルギーからタービンにより回転エネルギーを取りだし、この回転エネルギーにより圧縮器を作動させて圧縮空気を生成して走行用エンジン16の吸気口に供給する装置である。ターボチャージャー用タービンは、排ガスの内部エネルギーから回転エネルギーを取り出す装置である。
 ところで、自動車12が高速で走行しているときには、自動車12の走行に伴って、自動車12の車両前方からエンジンルーム開口部2、コンデンサ20、ラジエータ30、および電動ファン40を通過する車両走行風としての空気流が発生する。
 このため、自動車12の車両前方からエンジンルーム開口部2、コンデンサ20、およびラジエータ30を通過した車両走行風としての空気流の一部が、シュラウド50の通風孔50bから前側開口部61を通して導風ダクト60のダクト内流路60aに導入される。そして、そのダクト内流路60aに導入された車両走行風は、導風ダクト60の後側開口部62からエキゾーストマニホールド18側へ吹き出される。従って、エンジンルーム14内のエンジン後方空間に配置されたエキゾーストマニホールド18、触媒装置、およびターボチャージャー用タービンを、導風ダクト60に導かれ後側開口部62から吹き出される空気によって冷却することができる。その結果として例えば、エキゾーストマニホールド18、触媒装置、ターボチャージャー用タービン、およびその周辺部品に熱害が生じることを避けることができる。なお、エンジン後方空間とは、エンジンルーム14内のうち走行用エンジン16に対する車両後方の空間である。
 このようにエキゾーストマニホールド18、触媒装置、およびターボチャージャー用タービンを冷却した空気流は、エキゾーストマニホールド18の床下側に流れる。このことにより、エンジンルーム開口部2、コンデンサ20、ラジエータ30、導風ダクト60、およびエキゾーストマニホールド18の周辺を通過して自動車12の床下側に流れる空気流が発生する。
 また、自動車12の車両前後方向前側からエンジンルーム開口部2を通して導入流路50a内に導入された空気流のうち、導風ダクト60に流入された空気流以外の残りの空気流は、電動ファン40に吸い込まれる。この電動ファン40によって吸い込まれた残りの空気は、走行用エンジン16周辺を通過して床下側に流れる。このため、導入流路50aから電動ファン40を通過して走行用エンジン16側に流れる空気流により走行用エンジン16を冷却することになる。
 以上説明した本実施形態によれば、導風ダクト60の前側開口部61は、シュラウド50の通風孔50bにてシュラウド50に接続され、その通風孔50bを通して開口している。そして、導風ダクト60の後側開口部62は、エンジンルーム14内のうち走行用エンジン16に対する車両後方に開口している。従って、車両前方からエンジンルーム内へ流入する空気を、エンジンルーム14内のうち走行用エンジン16に対する車両後方のエンジン後方空間へ導くことが可能である。更に、導風ダクト60には開閉バルブ70が設けられているので、エンジンルーム14内でエンジン後方空間の空気が導風ダクト60を通じて車両前方へ流れることを、その開閉バルブ70によって抑制することが可能である。
 また、本実施形態によれば、ダクト内流路60aの開度を増減する開閉バルブ70は、導風ダクト60の前側開口部61から後側開口部62へ至る途中に設けられている。従って、エンジンルーム14内のうち導風ダクト60に対する車両前方および車両後方に開閉バルブ70を設けるためのスペース確保が困難な場合にも導風ダクト60に開閉バルブ70を設けることが可能である。
 また、本実施形態によれば、アクチュエータ703を制御する制御装置72は、自動車12の走行速度が判定車速以下であり、且つ、電動ファン40が作動して車両前方から空気を吸い込んでいる場合には、回動ドア701の可動範囲内でダクト内流路60aの開度を最小にする。これにより、電動ファン40の作動によって導入流路50a内が負圧になった場合に、電動ファン40が導風ダクト60を通じてエンジン後方空間から吸う空気の流量を低減することが可能である。その結果として、導入流路50a内が負圧になった場合においても、コンデンサ20およびラジエータ30を通過する風量を、導風ダクト60が設けられていない場合と同程度に確保することが可能である。
 また、本実施形態によれば、導風ダクト60の開口孔60fは、ダクト内流路60aを導風ダクト60の外部へ連通させる孔である。そして、開閉バルブ70は、ダクト内流路60aの開度を減少させるほど、後側流路60cに対する開口孔60fの開度を増大させる。従って、開閉バルブ70がダクト内流路60aを閉じている場合にも、車両走行により車両前方からエンジンルーム14内へ流入する車速風を開口孔60fから後側流路60cへ流入させ、その車速風をエンジン後方空間へ導くことが可能である。
 また、本実施形態によれば、開閉バルブ70の回動ドア701は、導風ダクト60内で回動して開口孔60fを導風ダクト60の内側から閉じるように作動する。そして、回動ドア701はドア軸線CLdまわりに回動し、そのドア軸線CLdは、開口孔60fに対して前側開口部61側に偏った位置を通りダクト内流路60aに交差する向きに延びている。従って、1つの回動ドア701によって、前側流路60bを後側流路60cに対して開閉することができると共に、開口孔60fも後側流路60cに対して開閉することができる。
 また、本実施形態によれば、回動ドア701がその回動ドア701の可動範囲内でダクト内流路60aの開度を最小にしたときに、回動ドア701の壁面接触部701bは図7に示すように導風ダクト60の流路壁面603に接触する。そして、その壁面接触部701bは弾力性を有している。従って、壁面接触部701bの流路壁面603に対する密着性が良好になり、回動ドア701が前側流路60bを閉じたときの閉塞性の向上すなわちシャッター性の向上を図ることが可能である。
 また、本実施形態によれば、開閉バルブ70は、導風ダクト60の前側開口部61から後側開口部62へ至る途中に設けられていることから、開閉バルブ70の回動ドア701は導風ダクト60の中で動作する。従って、開閉バルブ70が動作するために必要とされるスペースを、導風ダクト60の占有スペースに重複させることができる。そのため、例えば開閉バルブ70が導風ダクト60の途中ではなく末端に設けられる構成と比較して、開閉バルブ70および導風ダクト60の全体が占める占有スペースを小さくすることが可能である。
 (第2実施形態)
 次に、第2実施形態について説明する。本実施形態では、前述の第1実施形態と異なる点を主として説明する。また、前述の実施形態と同一または均等な部分については省略または簡略化して説明する。後述の第3実施形態以降でも同様である。
 図8は、本実施形態の開閉バルブ70の平面図であって、第1実施形態の図3に相当する図である。また、図9は、図8のIX-IX断面図である。この図8および図9に示すように、本実施形態の回動ドア701は導風ダクト60と一体構成となっており、この点が第1実施形態と異なる。なお、図8および図9においてアクチュエータ703の図示は省略されている。
 具体的には、開閉バルブ70は、ドア回動軸702(図3参照)を有してはいないが、その替わりに、開閉バルブ70の回動ドア701は、可撓性を有する可撓部704を有している。その可撓部704は、回動ドア701の周縁部分の一部を構成しており、且つ、導風ダクト60に連結されている。例えば、可撓部704が可撓性を有することとは、すなわち曲がりやすいということである。
 そして、回動ドア701は、その可撓部704を介して導風ダクト60と一体に構成されている。このような構成から、回動ドア701は、可撓部704が撓むことにより、第1実施形態の回動ドア701と同様にドア軸線CLdまわりに回動する。すなわち、回動ドア701の可撓部704は、回動ドア701が導風ダクト60に対して屈曲することを許容する関節部として機能する。図9では、回動ドア701の可動範囲内においてダクト内流路60aの開度を最大にした状態の回動ドア701が実線で表され、そのダクト内流路60aの開度を最小にした状態の回動ドア701が二点鎖線で表されている。
 可撓部704は、例えばその厚みが小さく形成されること、又は、柔らかい材料で構成されることで可撓性を有する。そして、可撓部704は回動ドア701のうち可撓部704以外の部位とは異なる材料で構成されていてもよく、そのようにする場合には、回動ドア701および導風ダクト60の成形方法として例えば二色成形を採用すればよい。
 本実施形態では、前述の第1実施形態と共通の構成から奏される効果を第1実施形態と同様に得ることができる。また、本実施形態によれば、回動ドア701は、可撓部704を介して導風ダクト60と一体に構成されている。従って、回動ドア701が導風ダクト60に対し別部品として構成されている場合と比較して、回動ドア701を導風ダクト60に組み付ける手間を省くことが可能である。
 (第3実施形態)
 次に、第3実施形態について説明する。本実施形態では、前述の第1実施形態と異なる点を主として説明する。
 図10は、本実施形態において図3のVI-VI断面に相当する断面で導風ダクト60および開閉バルブ70を切断した断面図であって、第1実施形態の図7に相当する図である。この図10に示すように、導風ダクト60には開口孔60f(図7参照)が形成されておらず、開閉バルブ70は回動ドア701およびドア回動軸702に替えて、フィルムドア705を有している。これらの点が第1実施形態と異なる。なお、図10においてアクチュエータ703の図示は省略されており、後述の図11および図12でも同様である。
 具体的には、開閉バルブ70のフィルムドア705はシート状を成している。そして、そのフィルムドア705は、矢印AR1のようにスライド移動することによりダクト内流路60aの開度を増減する。例えばフィルムドア705をスライド移動させるために、そのフィルムドア705のうちスライド移動方向に延びる側縁が、導風ダクト60によってガイドされている。
 図10では、フィルムドア705の可動範囲内においてダクト内流路60aの開度を最小にした状態のフィルムドア705が実線で表され、そのダクト内流路60aの開度を最大にした状態のフィルムドア705が二点鎖線で表されている。
 本実施形態では、前述の第1実施形態と共通の構成から奏される効果を第1実施形態と同様に得ることができる。
 (第4実施形態)
 次に、第4実施形態について説明する。本実施形態では、前述の第1実施形態と異なる点を主として説明する。
 図11は、本実施形態において図3のVI-VI断面に相当する断面で導風ダクト60および開閉バルブ70を切断した断面図であって、第1実施形態の図7に相当する図である。この図11に示すように、導風ダクト60には開口孔60f(図7参照)が形成されておらず、開閉バルブ70は、図7の回動ドア701およびドア回動軸702に替えて、図11の回動ドア706およびドア回動軸707を有している。これらの点が第1実施形態と異なる。
 具体的には、開閉バルブ70の回動ドア706は板状を成し、導風ダクト60内に収容されている。そして、ドア回動軸707は例えば円柱状を成し、ダクト内流路60a内において、そのダクト内流路60aの中の空気流れ方向に交差する方向の一方に偏って配置されている。
 また、回動ドア706は、導風ダクト60内において、ダクト内流路60aに交差する向きのドア軸線CLdに対する径方向の一方に設けられている。すなわち、そのドア軸線CLdはドア回動軸707の中心線であり、回動ドア706は、その回動ドア706の側縁にてドア回動軸707に連結されている。
 このように構成された回動ドア706は、導風ダクト60内でドア軸線CLdまわりにAR2のように回動し、それによりダクト内流路60aの開度を増減する。図11では、回動ドア706の可動範囲内においてダクト内流路60aの開度を最小にした状態の回動ドア706が実線で表され、そのダクト内流路60aの開度を最大にした状態の回動ドア706が二点鎖線で表されている。
 本実施形態では、前述の第1実施形態と共通の構成から奏される効果を第1実施形態と同様に得ることができる。
 (第5実施形態)
 次に、第5実施形態について説明する。本実施形態では、前述の第1実施形態と異なる点を主として説明する。
 図12は、本実施形態において図3のVI-VI断面に相当する断面で導風ダクト60および開閉バルブ70を切断した断面図であって、第1実施形態の図7に相当する図である。この図12に示すように、導風ダクト60には開口孔60f(図7参照)が形成されておらず、開閉バルブ70は、図7の回動ドア701およびドア回動軸702に替えて、図12の回動ドア708およびドア回動軸709を有している。これらの点が第1実施形態と異なる。
 具体的には、開閉バルブ70の回動ドア708は板状を成し、導風ダクト60内に収容されている。そして、ドア回動軸709は例えば円柱状を成し、ダクト内流路60a内において、そのダクト内流路60aの中の空気流れ方向に交差する方向における中央部分に配置されている。
 また、回動ドア708は、導風ダクト60内において、ダクト内流路60aに交差する向きのドア軸線CLdに対する径方向の一方から他方にわたって設けられている。すなわち、そのドア軸線CLdはドア回動軸709の中心線であり、回動ドア708は、その回動ドア708の中央部分にてドア回動軸709に連結されている。
 このように構成された回動ドア708は、導風ダクト60内でドア軸線CLdまわりにAR3のように回動し、それによりダクト内流路60aの開度を増減する。図12では、回動ドア708の可動範囲内においてダクト内流路60aの開度を最小にした状態の回動ドア708が実線で表され、そのダクト内流路60aの開度を最大にした状態の回動ドア708が二点鎖線で表されている。
 本実施形態では、前述の第1実施形態と共通の構成から奏される効果を第1実施形態と同様に得ることができる。
 (他の実施形態)
 (1)上述の各実施形態において、エンジンルーム開口部2は自動車12のフロントグリル4に形成されているが、それに限らず例えば、自動車12のフロントバンパーの下側前面に開口して形成されていても差し支えない。
 (2)上述の各実施形態において、冷却モジュール10は、エンジン冷却用熱交換器としてラジエータ30を有しているが、これに替えて、熱媒体としてのエンジンオイルを冷却するオイルクーラをエンジン冷却用熱交換器として有していても差し支えない。
 (3)上述の各実施形態において、導風ダクト60は、エンジンルーム14内において走行用エンジン16の上側に配置されているが、走行用エンジン16の上側以外の位置に配置されていても構わない。
 (4)上述の各実施形態において、エンジンルーム開口部2はラジエータ30に対する車両前方に設けられているが、例えば、そのエンジンルーム開口部2は、ラジエータ30に対して車両幅方向DR2にオフセットされた位置に設けられていても差し支えない。
 (5)上述の各実施形態において、エキゾーストマニホールド18は、エンジンルーム14のうち、走行用エンジン16に対して車両後方に配置されているが、走行用エンジン16に対して車両後方以外の位置に配置されていても構わない。
 (6)上述の各実施形態において、電動ファン40は、例えば軸流式の送風機であると説明されているが、軸流式以外の送風機、例えば遠心式の送風機であっても差し支えない。
 (7)上述の各実施形態において、コンデンサ20、ラジエータ30、および電動ファン40は、車両前方からコンデンサ20、ラジエータ30、電動ファン40の順に並んで配置されているが、その並び順に限定されなくてよい。
 (8)上述の各実施形態において、開閉バルブ70は、導風ダクト60の前側開口部61から後側開口部62へ至る途中に設けられているが、これは一例である。例えば、開閉バルブ70が導風ダクト60の前側開口部61または後側開口部62に設けられていることも考え得る。
 なお、本開示は上記した実施形態に限定されるものではない。本開示は、様々な変形例や均等範囲内の変形をも包含する。また、上記各実施形態において、実施形態を構成する要素は、特に必須であると明示した場合および原理的に明らかに必須であると考えられる場合等を除き、必ずしも必須のものではないことは言うまでもない。また、上記各実施形態において、実施形態の構成要素の個数、数値、量、範囲等の数値が言及されている場合、特に必須であると明示した場合および原理的に明らかに特定の数に限定される場合等を除き、その特定の数に限定されるものではない。また、上記各実施形態において、構成要素等の材質、形状、位置関係等に言及するときは、特に明示した場合および原理的に特定の材質、形状、位置関係等に限定される場合等を除き、その材質、形状、位置関係等に限定されるものではない。

Claims (11)

  1.  走行用エンジン(16)が配置されるエンジンルーム(14)の車両前方にて開口したエンジンルーム開口部(2)から前記エンジンルーム内へ空気が流入する自動車(12)に適用される導風ユニットであって、
     空調装置の放熱器(20)と前記走行用エンジンを冷却するためのエンジン冷却用熱交換器(30)と送風機(40)とが固定され、前記エンジンルーム開口部を経て前記放熱器および前記エンジン冷却用熱交換器を通過する空気を案内し、通風孔(50b)が形成されたシュラウド(50)と、
     前記通風孔にて前記シュラウドに接続され該通風孔を通して開口する第1開口部(61)と前記エンジンルーム内のうち前記走行用エンジンに対する車両後方に開口する第2開口部(62)とを有し、前記第1開口部と前記第2開口部との間に空気を流すダクト内流路(60a)を形成する導風ダクト(60)と、
     該導風ダクトに設けられ、前記ダクト内流路の開度を増減するバルブ部(70)とを備えている導風ユニット。
  2.  前記バルブ部は、前記導風ダクトの前記第1開口部から前記第2開口部へ至る途中に設けられている請求項1に記載の導風ユニット。
  3.  前記導風ダクトには、該導風ダクトの前記第1開口部から前記第2開口部へ至る途中に設けられ前記ダクト内流路を前記導風ダクトの外部へ連通させる開口孔(60f)が形成され、
     前記ダクト内流路は、前記導風ダクトのうち前記開口孔が形成された孔形成部位(602)と前記第2開口部との間の第2開口側流路(60c)を含み、
     前記バルブ部は、前記ダクト内流路の開度を減少させるほど、前記第2開口側流路に対する前記開口孔の開度を増大させる請求項2に記載の導風ユニット。
  4.  前記バルブ部は、前記導風ダクト内で回動して前記開口孔を前記導風ダクトの内側から閉じる回動ドア(701)を有し、
     該回動ドアは、前記開口孔に対して前記第1開口部側に偏った位置を通り前記ダクト内流路に交差する向きの軸線(CLd)まわりに回動する請求項3に記載の導風ユニット。
  5.  前記バルブ部は、前記導風ダクト内で回動して前記開口孔を前記導風ダクトの内側から閉じる回動ドア(701)を有し、
     該回動ドアは前記導風ダクトとは別部品として構成され、
     前記導風ダクトは、前記回動ドアに連結され該回動ドアを前記軸線まわりに回動可能に支持する連結部(601)を有している請求項3に記載の導風ユニット。
  6.  前記バルブ部は、前記導風ダクト内で回動して前記開口孔を前記導風ダクトの内側から閉じる回動ドア(701)を有し、
     該回動ドアは、
     前記導風ダクトに連結され可撓性を有する可撓部(704)を、前記回動ドアの周縁部分の一部に有し、
     前記可撓部を介して前記導風ダクトと一体に構成され、
     前記可撓部が撓むことにより回動する請求項3に記載の導風ユニット。
  7.  前記導風ダクトは、前記ダクト内流路に面する流路壁面(603)を有し、
     前記回動ドアは、該回動ドアの可動範囲内で前記ダクト内流路の開度を最小にしたときに前記流路壁面に接触する壁面接触部(701b)を有し、
     該壁面接触部は弾力性を有している請求項4ないし6のいずれか1つに記載の導風ユニット。
  8.  前記バルブ部は、シート状のフィルムドア(705)を有し、
     該フィルムドアは、スライド移動することにより前記ダクト内流路の開度を増減する請求項1または2に記載の導風ユニット。
  9.  前記バルブ部は、前記導風ダクト内に収容され該導風ダクト内で回動する板状の回動ドア(706)を有し、
     該回動ドアは、前記ダクト内流路に交差する向きの軸線(CLd)に対する径方向の一方に設けられ、該軸線まわりに回動することにより前記ダクト内流路の開度を増減する請求項1または2に記載の導風ユニット。
  10.  前記バルブ部は、前記導風ダクト内に収容され該導風ダクト内で回動する板状の回動ドア(708)を有し、
     該回動ドアは、前記ダクト内流路に交差する向きの軸線(CLd)に対する径方向の一方から他方にわたって設けられ、該軸線まわりに回動することにより前記ダクト内流路の開度を増減する請求項1または2に記載の導風ユニット。
  11.  請求項1ないし10のいずれか1つに記載の導風ユニット(50、60、70)と、前記エンジン冷却用熱交換器と、前記送風機と、前記放熱器とを備えた冷却モジュール。
