Abstract
Description
特許文献3は、ハードコート塗料の主成分であるウレタンアクリレートオリゴマーの原料、すなわちポリオールとイソシアネートの組み合わせを調整して上記問題の解消を図るものであるが、得られるハードコート層のスチールウール耐擦傷性が低いという問題がある。
また、特許文献4~7に記載の有機無機ハイブリッド型の硬化樹脂組成物は、硬度を高くするためにシリカ等の無機物を用いているが、樹脂が本来持つ加工性等の特長が損なわれてしまうという問題がある。例えば、フィルムを所定サイズに切断しようとする場合、切断面に細かなクラックが発生する。これは、シリカ等無機物を用いて高硬度化した塗膜の特性が、ガラスの特性に近付くためである。
(A):ノルボルナンジイソシアネート(a1)と、1分子中に1つの水酸基と少なくとも1つ以上の(メタ)アクリロイル基を有する化合物(a2)の反応物であるウレタン(メタ)アクリレート
(B):縮合多環構造を有するポリオール(b1)と(メタ)アクリル酸(b2)との反応物である(メタ)アクレートモノマー。
(式中、R1は炭素原子数2~5の直鎖状又は分岐状アルキレン基、R2は水素原子又はメチル基であり、mは繰り返し単位で1~5の整数である。)
1分子中に1つの水酸基と少なくとも1つ以上の(メタ)アクリロイル基を有する化合物(a2)の好ましい具体例として、以下の式(III)および式(IV)の構造を有するものが挙げられる。
(式中、a+b+c+d=0~8であり、好ましくは0、4、又は8であり、Xは炭素数1~6の直鎖状又は分岐状アルキレン基であり、R2は水素原子又はメチル基である。)
(式中、a+b+c+d+e+f=0~12であり、好ましくは0、6、又は12であり、Xは炭素数1~6の直鎖状又は分岐状アルキレン基であり、R2は水素原子又はメチル基である。)
また、これらのポリ(メタ)アクリレート類とε―カプロラクトンとの付加物、これらのポリ(メタ)アクリレート類とアルキレンオキサイドとの付加物、エポキシ(メタ)アクリレート類等も用いることができる。これらの化合物(a2)は、単独で用いることも、2種以上を併用することもできる。
なお、本発明において、「(メタ)アクリレート」とは、メタクリレートとアクリレートの一方又は両方をいい、「(メタ)アクリロイル基」及び「(メタ)アクリル酸」についても同様である。
(式中、Aは上記ノルボルナンジイソシアネート(a1)の一般式R1-A-R2と同じノルボルナン環を表わし、Bは、アクリレート(上記化合物(a2)の水酸基から水素が脱離した置換基)を表わす。)
また、前記ノルボルナンジイソシアネート(a1)と前記化合物(a2)との反応温度は、30~150℃が好ましく、50~100℃がより好ましい。なお、反応の終点は、例えば、イソシアネート基を示す2250cm-1の赤外線吸収スペクトルの消失や、JIS K 7301-1995に記載の方法でイソシアネート基含有率を求めることで確認することができる。
また、前記付加反応では反応時間を短くする目的で、触媒を用いることができる。触媒としては、例えば、塩基性触媒(ピリジン、ピロール、トリエチルアミン、ジエチルアミン、ジブチルアミン、アンモニア等のアミン類、トリブチルフォスフィン、トリフェニルフォシフィン等のフォスフィン類)や酸性触媒(ナフテン酸銅、ナフテン酸コバルト、ナフテン酸亜鉛、トリブトキシアルミニウム、テトラブトキシトリチタニウム、テトラブトキシジルコニウム等の金属アルコキシド類、塩化アルミニウム等のルイス酸類、ジブチル錫ジラウレート、ジブチル錫ジアセテート等の錫化合物)が挙げられる。これらの中でも、酸性触媒が好ましく、さらに錫化合物であるジブチル錫ジラウレートが最も好ましい。
前記付加反応における触媒の使用量としては、ノルボルナンジイソシアネート(a1)100質量部に対し、0.1~1質量部であることが好ましい。
脱水エステル化反応を用いて、前記成分(B)を合成する場合、(メタ)アクリル酸(b2)として不飽和カルボン酸を用いることができる。その中でも硬化反応性の面でアクリル酸が好ましい。
また、エステル化反応により前記成分(B)を合成する場合、(b2)として、(メタ)アクリル酸エステルを用いることができる。その中でも硬化反応性の面でアクリル酸メチルを用いることが好ましい。これらは市販品を容易に入手可能である。
このような化合物(C)の具体例として、先に(a2)として挙げた化合物、具体的にはこれらの化合物の水酸基と、(メタ)アクリル酸との反応物が挙げられる。例えば、化合物(C)は、ジペンタエリスリトールと(メタ)アクリル酸との反応物である。反応方法は一般的な手法を用いることができ、例えば、アクリル酸と3つ以上の水酸基を有するポリオールのエステル化反応、もしくはアクリル酸エステルと3つ以上の水酸基を有するポリオールのエステル交換反応である。
これらの化合物のうち、ジペンタエリスリトールと(メタ)アクリル酸の反応物、すなわち(メタ)アクリレートモノマーが好ましい。特に好ましいのは、ジペンタエリスリトール1モルに対して5モル以上の(メタ)アクリル酸が付与した5~6官能のアクリレートモノマーである。
光重合開始剤(D)としては、発明の効果を奏する限りにおいて種類は限定されない。例えば、1-ヒドロキシ-シクロヘキシル-フェニルケトン、2,2-ジメトキシ-1,2-ジフェニルエタン-1-オン、1-シクロヘキシルフェニルケトン、2-ヒドロキシ-2-メチル-1-フェニル-プロパン-1-オン、1-[4-(2-ヒドロキシエトキシ)-フェニル]-2-ヒドロキシ-2-メチル-1-プロパン-1-オン、2-メチル-1-[4-(メチルチオ)フェニル]-2-モルフォリノプロパン-1-オン、2-ベンジル-2-ジメチルアミノ-1-(4-モルフォリノフェニル)-ブタノン-1、ビス(2,4,6-トリメチルベンゾイル)-フェニルフォスフィンオキサイド、2,4,6-トリメチルベンゾイル-ジフェニル-フォスフィンオキサイド、4-メチルベンゾフェノン等が挙げられる。これらは1種又は2種以上を用いることができる。
ウレタン(メタ)アクリレート(A)と(メタ)アクリレートモノマー(B)、化合物(C)の主成分混合物100質量部、すなわち、光重合開始剤(D)を除く硬化性樹脂組成物100質量部に対して、光重合開始剤(D)の配合質量は1~10質量部の範囲である。
この範囲より光重合開始剤(D)が多いと硬化の際にクラックが発生しやすくなる可能性がある。またこの範囲より光重合開始剤(D)が少ないと硬化が不十分となり得る。光重合開始剤(D)の配合質量は、好ましくは1~7質量部、より好ましくは3~5質量部である。
紫外線吸収剤(E)としては、当業界で用いられるものであれば特に限定されない。例えば、トリアジン系紫外線吸収剤、ベンゾフェノン系紫外線吸収剤、ベンゾトリアゾール系紫外線吸収剤、シアノアクリレート系紫外線吸収剤、ヒドロキシベンゾエート系紫外線吸収剤等が挙げられる。これらは1種又は2種以上を用いることができる。
これらの中でも、紫外線吸収剤(E)は、トリアジン系紫外線吸収剤、ベンゾフェノン系紫外線吸収剤及びベンゾトリアゾール系紫外線吸収剤からなる群より選択された、少なくとも1種であることが好ましく、特にPC基材に塗布する場合、吸収帯が一致しているトリアジン系紫外線吸収剤が好ましい。
ウレタン(メタ)アクリレート(A)、(メタ)アクリレートモノマー(B)、(C)及び光重合開始剤(D)の混合物100質量部、すなわち、紫外線吸収剤(E)を除く硬化性樹脂組成物100質量部に対して、紫外線吸収剤(E)の配合質量は0.1~10質量部である。この範囲より多いと光重合開始剤(D)の光重合開始作用が阻害され硬化不十分となる可能性がある。またこの範囲より少ないと、特に屋外使用において太陽光等により黄変が起こりやすくなり得る。紫外線吸収剤(E)の配合質量は、好ましくは2~7質量部、より好ましくは3~5質量部である。
活性エネルギー線が紫外線の場合は、活性エネルギー線供給源として例えば高圧水銀やメタルハライドランプ等を用いることができる。
紫外線の照射エネルギーとしては、100~2,000mJ/cm2であることが好ましい。
また、活性エネルギー線が電子線の場合は、活性エネルギー線供給源として、例えばスキャン式電子線照射法、カーテン式電子線照射法等を用いることができる。
電子線の照射エネルギーとしては、10~200kGyであることが好ましい。
攪拌機、温度計、冷却器、滴下ロート及び乾燥空気導入管を備えた5つ口フラスコに、予め乾燥空気を流入させて系内を乾燥させた後、ノルボルネンジイソシアネート(a1)100質量部、ペンタエリスリトールトリアクリレート(a2)56%とペンタエリスリトールテトラアクリレート(a2)44%からなる混合物271.2質量部、溶剤として2-ブタノン101.2質量部を投入し、60℃に加温した。その後、重合触媒ジブチル錫ジラウレートを0.08質量部、重合禁止剤ジブチルヒドロキシトルエンを0.16質量部投入し、発熱後の温度が80~90℃になるよう冷却した。反応物中のイソシアネート残基が消費されたことを赤外線吸収スペクトルで確認し、ウレタンアクリレート(A)の2-ブタノン溶液506.1質量部(固形分濃度80%)を得た。
合成例1で得られたウレタンアクリレート(A)の2-ブタノン溶液(固形分濃度80%)125質量部、すなわち固形分であるウレタンアクリレート(A)100質量部に対して、トリシクロデカンジメタノール(b1)のアクリル酸(b2)のエステル化反応物であるトリシクロデカンジアクリレート(新中村化学製A-DCP)20質量部を前記成分(B)として添加し、主成分混合物とした。
この主成分混合物100質量部に光重合開始剤として1-ヒドロキシ-シクロヘキシル-フェニルケトン(D)を5質量部混合し、硬化性樹脂組成物を得た。
40mmφの金属ロールに半周分巻きつけたところクラックの発生はなかった。
塗布するフィルムを200μm厚のポリカーボネートフィルムとした以外は、実施例1と同様にした。
塗膜厚みは40μmであった。スチールウール摩擦前後のヘイズ値変化は0.20%、表面鉛筆硬度は7Hであり、40mmφロールへの巻きつけに伴うクラックの発生はなかった。
合成例1で得たウレタンアクリレート(A)の2-ブタノン溶液(固形分濃度)112.5質量部、実施例1記載のアクリレート(B)20質量部、ジペンタエリスリトールペンタアクリレート(C)とジペンタエリスリトールヘキサアクリレート(C)の混合物90質量部を配合し、主成分組成物とした以外は、実施例1と同様にした。
塗膜厚みは40μmであった。スチールウール摩擦前後で傷の発生はなく、ヘイズ値変化は0.0%、表面鉛筆硬度は9Hであり、40mmφロールへの巻きつけに伴うクラックの発生はなかった。
塗布するフィルムを200μm厚のポリカーボネートフィルムとした以外は、実施例3と同様にした。
塗膜厚みは40μmであった。スチールウール摩擦前後で傷の発生はなく、ヘイズ値変化は0.0%、表面鉛筆硬度は9Hであり、40mmφロールへの巻きつけに伴うクラックの発生はなかった。
ウレタンアクリレート(A)の2-ブタノン溶液(固形分濃度80%)125質量部に対して、光重合開始剤として1-ヒドロキシ-シクロヘキシル-フェニルケトン(D)を5質量部、すなわち固形分である六官能ウレタンアクリレートオリゴマー100質量部に光重合開始剤として1-ヒドロキシ-シクロヘキシル-フェニルケトン(D)を5質量部混合し、硬化性樹脂組成物を得た。
得られた硬化性樹脂組成物を実施例1と同様に塗布・硬化した。しかしながら、フィルム表面上の硬化物層にクラックが発生していたため、評価を断念した。
ウレタンアクリレート(A)の2-ブタノン溶液(固形分濃度80%)62.5質量部に対して、ジペンタエリスリトールペンタアクリレート(C)とジペンタエリスリトールヘキサアクリレート(C)の混合物50質量部を配合し、主成分組成物とした。
この主成分組成物を用いて、実施例1と同様にした。しかしながら、フィルム表面上の硬化物層にクラックが発生していたため、評価を断念した。
特許文献3を参考に、攪拌機、温度計、冷却器、滴下ロート及び乾燥空気導入管を備えた5つ口フラスコに、予め乾燥空気を流入させて系内を乾燥させた後、ノルボルネンジイソシアネート(a1)100質量部、ペンタエリスリトールトリアクリレート(a2)56%とペンタエリスリトールテトラアクリレート(a2)44%からなる混合物271.2質量部、トリシクロデカンジメタノール(b1)47.6質量部、溶剤として2-ブタノン102質量部を投入し、60℃に加温した。その後、重合触媒ジブチル錫ジラウレートを0.08質量部、重合禁止剤ジブチルヒドロキシトルエンを0.16質量部投入し、発熱後の温度が80~90℃になるよう冷却した。反応物中のイソシアネート残基が消費されたことを赤外線吸収スペクトルで確認し、六官能ウレタンアクリレートオリゴマーの2-ブタノン溶液521質量部(固形分濃度80%)を得た。
得られた硬化性樹脂組成物を実施例1と同様に塗布・硬化した。塗膜厚みは40μmであった。スチールウール摩擦により傷が発生し、ヘイズ値変化は1.0%となった。尚、表面鉛筆硬度は8Hであり、40mmφロールへの巻きつけに伴うクラックの発生はなかった。
特許文献4を参考にして、撹拌装置、冷却管、滴下ロートおよび窒素導入管を備えた反応装置に、メチルイソブチルケトン480質量部を仕込み、撹拌しながら系内温度が110℃になるまで昇温し、次いで、グリシジルメタアクリレート130質量部、メチルメタアクリレート304質量部およびt-ブチルパーオキシ-2-エチルヘキサノエート(日本乳化剤株式会社製「パーブチルO」)15質量部からなる混合液を3時間かけて滴下ロートより滴下した後、110℃で15時間保持した。次いで、90℃まで降温した後、メトキノン0.1質量部およびアクリル酸66質量部を仕込んだ後、トリフェニルホスフィン5質量部を添加後、さらに100℃まで昇温して8時間保持し、アクリル重合体(X)のメチルイソブチルケトン溶液1000質量部(不揮発分50.0%)を得た。
この組成物を用いて、実施例2と同様にポリカーボネートフィルム表面に硬化物を形成した。
塗膜厚みは40μmであった。スチールウール摩擦前後で傷の発生はなく、ヘイズ値にも変化はなかった。尚、表面鉛筆硬度はHBであった。しかしながら、40mmφの金属ロールに巻きつけたところクラックが大量に発生した。
[比較例5]
硬化性樹脂組成物を塗布しない以外は実施例1と同様にした。スチールウール摩擦後に傷が大量に発生し、ヘイズ値変化は40%となった。
硬化性樹脂組成物を塗布しない以外は実施例2と同様にした。スチールウール摩擦後に傷が大量に発生し、ヘイズ値変化は40%となった。
実施例2および4と比較例3、特に実施例4と比較例3との比較により、ノルボルナンジイソシアネートと縮合環を有するジオールであるトリシクロデカンジメタノールを一つのウレタンアクリレートとするよりも、個別に配合した方が摩擦による耐擦傷性が優れていることが分かる。
実施例2および4と比較例4の比較により、有機無機ハイブリッドの組成物よりも、本発明の硬化性樹脂組成物の方が、耐擦傷性や表面鉛筆硬度を改善しつつ、曲げなどによるクラック発生を抑制していることがわかる。
Claims (16)
- ノルボルナンジイソシアネート(a1)と、1分子中に1つの水酸基及び少なくとも1つ以上の(メタ)アクリロイル基を有する化合物(a2)の反応物であるウレタン(メタ)アクリレート(A)及び、
縮合多環構造を有するポリオール(b1)と(メタ)アクリル酸(b2)との反応物である(メタ)アクリレートモノマー(B)を含有する硬化性樹脂組成物。 - 前記化合物(a2)が、1分子中に1つの水酸基及び3~5つの(メタ)アクリロイル基を有する化合物である請求項1に記載の硬化性樹脂組成物。
- 前記縮合多環構造を有するポリオール(b1)が、脂環式縮合多環構造を有するポリオールである請求項1又は請求項2に記載の硬化性樹脂組成物。
- 前記縮合多環構造を有するポリオール(b1)が、トリシクロデカンジメタノールである、請求項1~3のいずれか一項に記載の硬化性樹脂組成物。
- 前記硬化性樹脂組成物100質量部中、ウレタン(メタ)アクリレート(A)を20~90質量部、(メタ)アクリレートモノマー(B)を10~35質量部含有する、請求項1~4のいずれか一項に記載の硬化性樹脂組成物。
- 1分子中に少なくとも3つ以上の(メタ)アクリロイル基を有する化合物(C)を更に含有する、請求項1~5のいずれか一項に記載の硬化性樹脂組成物。
- 前記化合物(C)が、ジペンタエリスリトールと(メタ)アクリル酸との反応物であり、かつ少なくとも5つ以上の(メタ)アクリロイル基を有する、請求項6に記載の硬化性樹脂組成物。
- 前記硬化性樹脂組成物が、光重合開始剤(D)を更に含有し、前記光重合開始剤(D)を除く前記硬化性樹脂組成物100質量部に対して前記光重合開始剤(D)を1~10質量部含有する、請求項1~7のいずれか一項に記載の硬化性樹脂組成物。
- 前記硬化性樹脂組成物が、紫外線吸収剤(E)を更に含有し、前記紫外線吸収剤(E)を除く前記硬化性樹脂組成物100質量部に対して前記紫外線吸収剤(E)を0.1~10質量部含有する、請求項1~8のいずれか一項に記載の硬化性樹脂組成物。
- 請求項1~8のいずれか一項に記載の硬化性樹脂組成物に、活性エネルギー線を照射して得られる硬化物。
- 前記活性エネルギー線が紫外線である請求項10に記載の硬化物。
- 請求項10又は請求項11に記載の硬化物を基材上に成形させて得られる積層体。
- 前記硬化物の厚みが、5~200μmである、請求項12に記載の積層体。
- 前記基材が、熱可塑性樹脂製である請求項12又は請求項13に記載の積層体。
- 前記熱可塑性樹脂が、ポリカーボネート、ポリエチレンテレフタレート、ポリメタクリル酸メチルの少なくともいずれか1つを含む、請求項14に記載の積層体。
- 請求項1~9のいずれか一項に記載の硬化性樹脂組成物を樹脂基材上に塗布した後、活性エネルギー線を照射して得られる積層体。
