Description

アース用端子金具
 本発明は、アース用端子金具に関する。
 従来、電線の端末部に接続されるとともに所定のアース部位にボルト締めにより接続されるアース用端子金具が知られている。このアース用端子金具は、アース部位にボルト締めされるボルト締結部と、電線の端末部に接続される電線接続部とを有している。
 そして、アース用端子金具においては、接続された電線の端末部から電線内部に水が浸入することを防ぐべく、例えば下記特許文献1に記載のように、電線とアース用端子金具との接続部位を熱収縮チューブ等の止水部材で覆うことが知られている。この際、電線接続部をアース部位から浮かせて止水部材が入るスペースを確保するために、ボルト締結部と電線接続部とを繋ぐ繋ぎ部を屈曲した形状にすることが必要である。

 しかしながら、ボルト締結部と電線接続部とを繋ぐ繋ぎ部は、他の部位に比して幅寸法が小さいため、振動等による力が集中して作用しやすく、そのような繋ぎ部を上記のような理由で屈曲した形状にすることは、応力集中を著しいものにしてしまう。そのような応力集中が長期にわたって継続することは、次第に強度を低下させ、ひいては破断を招く虞があるため対策が望まれていた。
 本発明は上記のような事情に基づいて完成されたものであって、繋ぎ部への応力集中を緩和することが可能なアース用端子金具を提供することを目的とする。
 本発明のアース用端子金具は、アース部位にボルト締めされるボルト締結部と、電線の端末部に接続される電線接続部とを有し、前記ボルト締結部と前記電線接続部の底板部とが面一に配され、前記ボルト締結部のうち前記ボルトが挿通されるボルト挿通孔の周囲には、前記アース部位側に突出する突部が設けられている。
 本発明によれば、ボルト挿通孔の周囲に設けられた突部がアース部位に当接することで電線接続部がアース部位から浮き、電線接続部の下側に止水部材用のスペースがあくから、ボルト締結部と電線接続部とを繋ぐ繋ぎ部を屈曲した形状にしなくてもよく、もって繋ぎ部への応力集中を緩和することができる。

 本発明の好ましい形態を以下に示す。
 本発明のアース用端子金具は、前記突部が、前記ボルト挿通孔の全周に連続して設けられた環状をなしているものとしてもよい。このような構成によれば、突部の強度が高いから、良好にアースをとることができる。
 <実施例>
 以下、本発明を具体化した一実施例について、図1~図6を参照しつつ詳細に説明する。
 本実施例におけるアース用端子金具10は、電線30の端末部に接続されるとともに例えば自動車のボディにおける所定のアース部位40にボルト締めにより接続されてアースが取られるものである。以下、各構成部材において、図1の左手前側を前側、右奥側を後側、上側を上方、下側を下方として説明する。
 アース用端子金具10は、金属板材をプレス加工することで形成され、アース部位40にボルト締めされるボルト締結部11と、電線30の端末部に接続される電線接続部12とを有し、ボルト締結部11と電線接続部12とが繋ぎ部13によって一体に繋がった形態をなしている。
 ボルト締結部11は、全体として略円形の平板状をなし、その中心部には、ボルト41が挿通される略円形状のボルト挿通孔14が貫通形成されている。ボルト締結部11には、連れ回りを防止する手段として、回り止め部15が一体に形成されている。回り止め部15は、ボルト締結部11の外周縁から径方向外向きに水平(ボルト締結部11の板面に略平行)に延びた後、下側および前側に屈曲された形状をなしている。この回り止め部15の先端が、図5に示すように、アース部位40に設けられた溝部42に挿入されて、ボルト締結部11の回り止めがなされる。
 電線接続部12は、電線30の芯線31に圧着される芯線圧着部16と、絶縁被覆32に圧着される被覆圧着部17とを有している。芯線圧着部16および被覆圧着部17は、それぞれ底板部18の両側縁から上方に突出する一対の芯線圧着片16Aおよび被覆圧着片17Aを備えている。電線接続部12における底板部18は、幅方向における略中心が最も下がり、両側縁が上がるように湾曲している。芯線圧着片16Aおよび被覆圧着片17Aは、底板部18に載置された電線30の芯線31および絶縁被覆32をそれぞれ包み込むようにしてかしめ付けられる。
 ボルト締結部11と電線接続部12の底板部18とは、面一に配されている(図4参照)。繋ぎ部13の幅方向における略中心は、前端から後端に至るまで略水平(ボルト締結部11の板面に対して略平行)をなし、上下方向の段差はないものとされている。繋ぎ部13の前端部はボルト締結部11に段差なく連なり、繋ぎ部13の後端部は芯線圧着部16に段差なく連なっている。
 繋ぎ部13の両側縁部には、上方に立ち上がるように屈曲されて形成された補強部19が設けられている。補強部19は、図3に示すように、前端から後端にかけて次第に上方への突出寸法が増しており、その上端面は後上がりの傾斜をなしている。補強部19の後端は、芯線圧着部16における底板部18の湾曲部分に連なっている。なお、繋ぎ部13の幅寸法は、図2に示すように、平面視において、前後方向に略一定とされている。
 そして、ボルト締結部11の中心部には、下側(アース部位40側)に突出する突部21が設けられている。突部21は、ボルト挿通孔14の周囲に形成され、ボルト挿通孔14の全周に連続して設けられた環状をなしている。突部21は、ボルト挿通孔14の周縁部を下側に凹ませることで形成され、突部21の上側には凹部22が形成されている。凹部22は、図5に示すように、ワッシャ43の外径寸法と同等の幅寸法、およびワッシャ43の厚さ寸法と同等の凹み寸法を有し、ワッシャ43の全体が収容される。
 突部21は、図2に示すように、全周にわたり一定の幅寸法(径方向の寸法)を有し、平面視において円環状をなしている。突部21の突出寸法は、図5に示すように、止水部材33の厚さ寸法と同等もしくは若干大きい寸法とされている。突部21の突出寸法は、全周にわたり略一定とされている。突部21の突出面(下面)は、全体にわたり凹凸のない平坦な面とされ、その全体がアース部位40に当接した状態になる。
 止水部材33は、アース用端子金具10を電線30に圧着させた後に、アース用端子金具10と電線30との接続部位の全体を包囲するように施される。止水部材33は、電線30の絶縁被覆32の端部から電線接続部12(被覆圧着部17および芯線圧着部16)の全体、露出した芯線31の全体、繋ぎ部13の略全体にわたる部分を覆って、電線30の端部を防水する。
 止水部材33として、図5に示すように、内周面に接着剤(図示せず)が塗布された熱収縮チューブを被せてもよい。熱収縮チューブは、アース用端子金具10と電線30との接続部位に被せられた後に、所定の温度で加熱されて収縮し、アース用端子金具10および電線30に接着剤を介して密着する。
 また、止水部材33として、図6に示すように、モールド樹脂によって包囲するものとしてもよい。モールド樹脂は、アース用端子金具10と電線30との接続部位をモールド成形用の金型(図示せず)にセットし、その金型内に溶融した樹脂を注入することにより成形される。モールド樹脂は、アース用端子金具10と電線30との接続部位の全体に隙間なく密着する。
 次に、上記のように構成された実施例の作用および効果について説明する。
 本実施例のアース用端子金具10は、アース部位40にボルト41締めされるボルト締結部11と、電線30の端末部に接続される電線接続部12とを有し、ボルト締結部11と電線接続部12の底板部18とが面一に配され、ボルト締結部11のうちボルト41が挿通されるボルト挿通孔14の周囲には、アース部位40側に突出する突部21が設けられている。
 この構成によれば、ボルト挿通孔14の周囲に設けられた突部21がアース部位40に当接することで電線接続部12がアース部位40から浮き、電線接続部12の下側に止水部材33用のスペースがあくから、ボルト締結部11と電線接続部12とを繋ぐ繋ぎ部13を屈曲した形状にしなくてもよく、もって繋ぎ部13への応力集中を緩和することができる。
 また、突部21が、ボルト挿通孔14の全周に連続して設けられた環状をなしている。この構成によれば、突部21の強度が高いから、良好にアースをとることができる。
 <他の実施例>
 本発明は上記記述及び図面によって説明した実施例に限定されるものではなく、例えば次のような実施例も本発明の技術的範囲に含まれる。
 (1)上記実施例では、突部21が、ボルト挿通孔14の全周に連続して設けられた環状をなしているが、これに限らず、突部は、例えばボルト挿通孔の周囲に、周方向に所定の間隔をあけて複数を設けるものとしてもよい。
 (2)上記実施例では、突部21が、平面視円環状をなしているが、これに限らず、突部は、例えば平面視方形状をなすものとしてもよい。
 (3)上記実施例では、止水部材33として熱収縮チューブおよびモールド樹脂を例示したが、これに限らず、各種の止水部材を用いることができる。

  1.  アース部位にボルト締めされるボルト締結部と、電線の端末部に接続される電線接続部とを有し、
     前記ボルト締結部と前記電線接続部の底板部とが面一に配され、
     前記ボルト締結部のうちボルトが挿通されるボルト挿通孔の周囲には、前記アース部位側に突出する突部が設けられているアース用端子金具。
  2.  前記突部が、前記ボルト挿通孔の全周に連続して設けられた環状をなしている請求項1に記載のアース用端子金具。
