Definitions
- the present invention relates to an antioxidant that stabilizes a thermoplastic resin that easily undergoes oxidative degradation at room temperature. More specifically, the present invention has a structure in which a phenolic hydroxyl group is protected with a specific substituent, particularly a structure in which an alkyl carbonate group is protected. It is related with provision of the thermoplastic resin composition containing the antioxidant which can suppress discoloration by contact with.
- Polyvinyl chloride resin polyethylene resin, polypropylene resin, polybutene resin, polybutylene terephthalate resin, polycarbonate resin, ABS resin, nylon 6, nylon 66 It is known to impart an excellent stabilizing effect to various thermoplastic resins such as ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, petroleum resin and coumarone resin.
- phenolic antioxidants are widely used as antioxidants for improving the heat resistance of polyolefin resins typified by polyethylene and polypropylene.
- additives that prevent oxidation / degradation of thermoplastic resins include phosphorus antioxidants, sulfur antioxidants, hydroxyamine compounds, hindered amine compounds, UV absorbers, and acid scavengers. An agent etc. can be mentioned.
- the cause of these discolorations is nitrogen oxides generated from automobile exhaust gas.
- the content of nitrogen oxides in the atmosphere has increased year by year due to the burning of petroleum fuel, etc., and such nitrogen oxides in the atmosphere have caused moldings of not only polyolefin resins but also other thermoplastic resins. There is concern over coloring.
