本発明は、ヘッドレスト装置に関する。
従来、シートのヘッドレストのケース部材に箱型のスピーカーを内蔵したヘッドレスト装置が知られている(例えば、特許文献1参照)。
しかし、前記従来のヘッドレスト装置において、スピーカーとしてデジタルスピーカーを用いたり、通信により音声情報を送受信したりすると、ヘッドレスト装置の内部に制御基板を設ける必要がある。そのため、制御基板を動作させるための電源を供給するための二次電池もヘッドレスト装置の内部に設置する必要がある。
この場合に、近年、リチウムイオン電池などの二次電池においては、有機溶剤を用いているため、内部で短絡などが発生した場合に有機溶剤の電解液が揮発し、ガスが発生することが知られている。そして、短絡した場合には、急激に過熱することから、ガス濃度が高くなった場合に、発火を起こすおそれも確認されており、場合によっては二次電池の破裂などを招くおそれがある。
そのため、ヘッドレスト装置に二次電池を設置した場合、ガスの発生あるいは発火や破裂などは、着座者の頭部付近で生じることになるため、安全性を損なうおそれがあるという問題を有している。
本発明は、前述した事情に鑑みてなされたものであり、二次電池を収納した場合でも、着座者の安全性を損なうことのないヘッドレスト装置を提供することを目的とする。
この場合に、近年、リチウムイオン電池などの二次電池においては、有機溶剤を用いているため、内部で短絡などが発生した場合に有機溶剤の電解液が揮発し、ガスが発生することが知られている。そして、短絡した場合には、急激に過熱することから、ガス濃度が高くなった場合に、発火を起こすおそれも確認されており、場合によっては二次電池の破裂などを招くおそれがある。
そのため、ヘッドレスト装置に二次電池を設置した場合、ガスの発生あるいは発火や破裂などは、着座者の頭部付近で生じることになるため、安全性を損なうおそれがあるという問題を有している。
本発明は、前述した事情に鑑みてなされたものであり、二次電池を収納した場合でも、着座者の安全性を損なうことのないヘッドレスト装置を提供することを目的とする。
前記目的を達成するため、本発明は、ヘッドレスト本体の芯材の内部に仕切り板で仕切られた収納空間を設け、前記収納空間の内部に二次電池を収容したことを特徴とする。
また、前記構成において、前記収納空間は、前記芯材の下方に設置されている構成としてもよい。また、前記収納空間は、前記芯材の下方に開口する誘導口を有している構成としてもよい。さらに、前記収納空間は、内部圧力が増加した場合に前記収納空間の壁面を破断させるための溝を備えた構成としてもよい。
また、前記構成において、前記収納空間は、前記芯材の下方に設置されている構成としてもよい。また、前記収納空間は、前記芯材の下方に開口する誘導口を有している構成としてもよい。さらに、前記収納空間は、内部圧力が増加した場合に前記収納空間の壁面を破断させるための溝を備えた構成としてもよい。
また、前記構成において、前記芯材の表面における前記収納空間の前方側に、保護クッション材を設けた構成としてもよい。また、前記収納空間の前方側における前記芯材の厚さを厚く形成した構成としてもよい。さらに、前記収納空間の前方側に、保護板を設けた構成としてもよい。
本発明によれば、ヘッドレスト装置に二次電池を収納した場合でも、安全性を損なうことを防止することができる。
以下、本発明の実施の形態について図面を参照しながら以下に説明する。
図1および図2は、本発明に係るヘッドレスト装置の第1実施形態を示したものである。図1はヘッドレスト装置10を示す斜視図であり、図2はヘッドレスト装置10の縦断面図である。

ヘッドレスト装置10は、車室内に配置される乗員用のシートに設けられるものである。前記車室としては、例えば、自動車、電車、飛行機および船舶などの車室が挙げられるが、本実施形態においては、自動車の前部座席であって運転者が着座するシートに設けられるヘッドレスト装置10を例に挙げて説明する。
ヘッドレスト装置10は、運転者が着座するシート(図示せず)の背当て部の上部に取り付けられるものである。ヘッドレスト装置10は、ヘッドレスト装置10の骨組みとしての金属製のフレーム11と、フレーム11に連結されるヘッドレスト本体の芯材としてのクッション芯材12と、クッション芯材12の周囲を覆うように設けられ、着座者の頭部を受けるクッション13とを備えている。
フレーム11は、左右方向に並んで上下方向に延在する一対のパイプ状のメインフレーム15,15と、各メインフレーム15,15の上端部を連結する上部クロスメンバ16と、上部クロスメンバ16の下方において各メインフレーム15,15を連結する下部クロスメンバ17と、シートの背当て部の上面から挿入されてメインフレーム15を固定する取り付けステー18と、を備えている。ヘッドレスト装置10は、取り付けステー18の挿入深さを調節することで、着座者の体格などに合わせて取り付けの高さ位置を変更可能に構成されている。
クッション芯材12は、後面が開口した略箱型の前側ケース20と、前面が開口した略箱型の後側ケース21とを備えており、前側ケース20と後側ケース21とを互いに開口部分で接合することにより、密閉された箱状に形成されている。前側ケース20および後側ケース21は、例えば、ABS樹脂やポリプロピレン樹脂などの樹脂材料により形成されている。
前側ケース20および後側ケース21には、それぞれ複数の固定部(後側ケース21の一部のみ図示)22が設けられており、上部クロスメンバ16および下部クロスメンバ17には、固定孔部24が複数設けられている。そして、前側ケース20および後側ケース21は、フレーム11を前後から挟んで各開口の合わせ面同士を接合させるとともに、前側ケース20の固定部および後側ケース21の固定部22から上部クロスメンバ16および下部クロスメンバ17の固定孔部24にボトル23を締め付けることにより、フレーム11に固定されるように構成されている。
前側ケース20および後側ケース21には、それぞれ複数の固定部(後側ケース21の一部のみ図示)22が設けられており、上部クロスメンバ16および下部クロスメンバ17には、固定孔部24が複数設けられている。そして、前側ケース20および後側ケース21は、フレーム11を前後から挟んで各開口の合わせ面同士を接合させるとともに、前側ケース20の固定部および後側ケース21の固定部22から上部クロスメンバ16および下部クロスメンバ17の固定孔部24にボトル23を締め付けることにより、フレーム11に固定されるように構成されている。
また、図2に示すように、前側ケース20の内側下方には、後側ケース21側に略水平に延在する仕切り板部25が設けられており、後側ケース21には、仕切り板部25の後端が係合する係合部26が設けられている。
クッション芯材12の内部の空間は、仕切り板としての仕切り板部25によって、上方のエンクロージャー空間27と、このエンクロージャー空間27の下方に位置する収納空間28とに仕切られている。なお、仕切り板部25は、前側ケース20の一部として構成するようにしているが、前側ケース20と別体に構成するようにしてもよい。
クッション芯材12の内部の空間は、仕切り板としての仕切り板部25によって、上方のエンクロージャー空間27と、このエンクロージャー空間27の下方に位置する収納空間28とに仕切られている。なお、仕切り板部25は、前側ケース20の一部として構成するようにしているが、前側ケース20と別体に構成するようにしてもよい。
クッション芯材12のエンクロージャー空間27の前面には、図1に示すように、例えば、デジタルスピーカーである左右一対の音響スピーカー30,30と、これら各音響スピーカー30,30の間の下方に位置するサブウーハー31とがそれぞれ設けられている。そして、クッション芯材12のエンクロージャー空間27がスピーカーのエンクロージャーとして機能することにより、音響スピーカー30およびサブウーハー31から、例えば、カーナビゲーションシステムの音声案内、携帯電話やスマートフォンの通話音声あるいはカーオーディオの音声などを良好な音質で出力できるように構成されている。
また、各音響スピーカー30の間には、音響マイク32が設けられている。音響マイク32は、例えば、カーナビゲーションシステムの音声指示や携帯電話やスマートフォンのハンズフリー通話などに用いられるものである。

フレーム11の、例えば、上部クロスメンバ16部分には、外部から送られる音声信号をデジタルスピーカー用の音声信号に変換処理して音響スピーカー30、サブウーハー31を動作させる音声信号処理回路や、音響マイク32を制御するための制御回路などが搭載された制御基板(図示せず)が設けられている。また、収納空間28の内部には、制御基板に電源を供給するための二次電池35が収納されている。
本実施形態においては、収納空間28の底面には、誘導口36が形成されている。この誘導口36は、充電式の二次電池35から発生したガスを外部に排出するためのものである。すなわち、二次電池35がリチウムイオン電池の場合、二次電池35の内部短絡などが原因で、二次電池35からガスが噴出することがある。本実施形態においては、収納空間28に誘導口36を設けることにより、収納空間28の内部にガスを溜めないように構成することで、ガス密度の上昇に伴う発火などの発生を未然に防止することができるように構成されている。また、誘導口36は、二次電池35から発生したガスにより二次電池35が破裂した場合にも、その影響をシート側に逃がす機能を有している。
本実施形態においては、収納空間28の底面には、誘導口36が形成されている。この誘導口36は、充電式の二次電池35から発生したガスを外部に排出するためのものである。すなわち、二次電池35がリチウムイオン電池の場合、二次電池35の内部短絡などが原因で、二次電池35からガスが噴出することがある。本実施形態においては、収納空間28に誘導口36を設けることにより、収納空間28の内部にガスを溜めないように構成することで、ガス密度の上昇に伴う発火などの発生を未然に防止することができるように構成されている。また、誘導口36は、二次電池35から発生したガスにより二次電池35が破裂した場合にも、その影響をシート側に逃がす機能を有している。
図2に示すように、クッション13は、クッション芯材12の前面を覆う前面クッション部40と、クッション芯材12の残りの面を覆う後部側クッション部41とを備えている。前面クッション部40と後部側クッション部41とは、縁部で繋ぎ合わされて袋状に形成されており、被せられるようにしてクッション芯材12に装着される。
前面クッション部40は、繊維体を編んで立体的な網状に構成した立体網状クッション体であり、いわゆる繊維パッドである。繊維体としては、例えば、ポリプロピレンの繊維体や、ポリプロピレンとポリエチレンテレフタレートとの混紡繊維体が挙げられる。前面クッション部40は、高いクッション性を備えるとともに、立体網状構造により、高い通音性および通気性を備えている。
また、後部側クッション部41は、音を高効率で減衰する素材で構成される減衰層と、遮音性の高い素材で構成される遮音層との2層から構成されている。減衰層は、例えば、ウレタンなどの吸音性能が高く、かつ、クッション性が高い樹脂で構成されている。遮音層は、例えば、オレフィン系熱可塑性エラストマーなどの縫製可能で、かつ、音の減衰性および遮音性が高い軟質樹脂材料により構成されている。後部側クッション部41は、ヘッドレストとしてのクッション性を備えるとともに、音を効率よく減衰および遮音できる素材から構成されている。
前面クッション部40は、繊維体を編んで立体的な網状に構成した立体網状クッション体であり、いわゆる繊維パッドである。繊維体としては、例えば、ポリプロピレンの繊維体や、ポリプロピレンとポリエチレンテレフタレートとの混紡繊維体が挙げられる。前面クッション部40は、高いクッション性を備えるとともに、立体網状構造により、高い通音性および通気性を備えている。
また、後部側クッション部41は、音を高効率で減衰する素材で構成される減衰層と、遮音性の高い素材で構成される遮音層との2層から構成されている。減衰層は、例えば、ウレタンなどの吸音性能が高く、かつ、クッション性が高い樹脂で構成されている。遮音層は、例えば、オレフィン系熱可塑性エラストマーなどの縫製可能で、かつ、音の減衰性および遮音性が高い軟質樹脂材料により構成されている。後部側クッション部41は、ヘッドレストとしてのクッション性を備えるとともに、音を効率よく減衰および遮音できる素材から構成されている。
次に、本実施形態の作用について説明する。
本実施形態においては、ヘッドレスト装置10に音響スピーカー30およびサブウーハー31を設けるようにしているので、音響スピーカー30およびサブウーハー31から、例えば、カーナビゲーションシステムの音声案内、携帯電話やスマートフォンの通話音声あるいはカーオーディオの音声などを良好な音質で出力することができる。また、音響マイク32を設けることにより、例えば、カーナビゲーションシステムの音声指示や携帯電話やスマートフォンのハンズフリー通話などを適正に行うことができる。
本実施形態においては、ヘッドレスト装置10に音響スピーカー30およびサブウーハー31を設けるようにしているので、音響スピーカー30およびサブウーハー31から、例えば、カーナビゲーションシステムの音声案内、携帯電話やスマートフォンの通話音声あるいはカーオーディオの音声などを良好な音質で出力することができる。また、音響マイク32を設けることにより、例えば、カーナビゲーションシステムの音声指示や携帯電話やスマートフォンのハンズフリー通話などを適正に行うことができる。
そして、本実施形態においては、二次電池35が短絡などして、二次電池35の内部からガスが発生した場合、このガスを誘導口36からクッション芯材12の下方に逃がすことができ、収納空間28の内部にガスが溜まってしまうことを防止することができるものである。また、二次電池35から発生したガスにより二次電池35が破裂した場合にも、誘導口36によりその影響をシート側に逃がすことができる。
以上述べたように、本実施形態によれば、クッション芯材12の内部に仕切り板部25で仕切られた収納空間28を設け、収納空間28の内部に二次電池35を収容しているので、ヘッドレスト装置10に二次電池35を収納した場合でも、安全性を損なうことを防止することができる。
また、誘導口36を設けるようにしているので、二次電池35からガスが発生した場合に、このガスを速やかにクッション芯材12の外部に逃がすことができ、その結果、収納空間28の内部において、ガスの濃度が高まることを確実に防止することができ、二次電池35の収納空間28における発火などを確実に防止することができる。また、収納空間28をクッション芯材12の下方に配置するようにしているので、二次電池35から発生したガスをシート方向に誘導させることができ、着座者へのガスの影響を極力低減させることができる。また、二次電池35が破裂した場合にも、誘導口36により二次電池35の破裂による影響をシート側に逃がすことができるので、着座者を確実に保護することができる。
なお、例えば、2人乗りの車両など、シートの後方に同乗者が存在しない場合には、誘導口36をクッション芯材12の後方に形成するようにしてもよい。
また、誘導口36を設けるようにしているので、二次電池35からガスが発生した場合に、このガスを速やかにクッション芯材12の外部に逃がすことができ、その結果、収納空間28の内部において、ガスの濃度が高まることを確実に防止することができ、二次電池35の収納空間28における発火などを確実に防止することができる。また、収納空間28をクッション芯材12の下方に配置するようにしているので、二次電池35から発生したガスをシート方向に誘導させることができ、着座者へのガスの影響を極力低減させることができる。また、二次電池35が破裂した場合にも、誘導口36により二次電池35の破裂による影響をシート側に逃がすことができるので、着座者を確実に保護することができる。
なお、例えば、2人乗りの車両など、シートの後方に同乗者が存在しない場合には、誘導口36をクッション芯材12の後方に形成するようにしてもよい。
次に、本発明の第2実施形態について説明する。
図3は本発明の第2実施形態を示すヘッドレスト装置10の縦断面図である。本実施形態においては、収納空間28の底面となる前側ケース20の2カ所に溝37,37が形成されている。この溝37は、前側ケース20の底面に収納空間28の内部側から切り込みを入れることにより形成されるものであり、溝37により収納空間28の底面の強度を意図的に弱めるように構成されている。
その他の構成は、前記第1実施形態に示すものと同様であることから、同一部分には同一符号を付してその説明を省略する。
図3は本発明の第2実施形態を示すヘッドレスト装置10の縦断面図である。本実施形態においては、収納空間28の底面となる前側ケース20の2カ所に溝37,37が形成されている。この溝37は、前側ケース20の底面に収納空間28の内部側から切り込みを入れることにより形成されるものであり、溝37により収納空間28の底面の強度を意図的に弱めるように構成されている。
その他の構成は、前記第1実施形態に示すものと同様であることから、同一部分には同一符号を付してその説明を省略する。
本実施形態においては、エンクロージャー空間27とは仕切り板部25により完全に仕切られていることから、収納空間28の内部に二次電池35の短絡などにより二次電池35からガスが発生し、収納空間28におけるガスの内部圧力が高くなった場合に、溝37により収納空間28の底面の強度が弱くなっているので、溝37部分から収納空間28の底面が破断し、これにより、収納空間28を外部に開放して、ガス密度の上昇に伴う発火などの発生を未然に防止するようになっている。また、二次電池35から発生したガスにより二次電池35が破裂した場合にも、収納空間28の内部圧力が高くなることから、溝37部分から収納空間28の底面が破断することになるので、二次電池35の破裂による影響をシート側に逃がすことができる。
以上述べたように、本実施形態においては、収納空間28の底面に溝37を設け、二次電池35からガスが発生して収納空間28の内部圧力が高くなった場合に、溝37により収納空間28の底面を破断させてガスをクッション芯材12の外部に逃がすようにしているので、収納空間28の内部において、ガスの濃度が高まることを確実に防止することができ、二次電池35の収納空間28における発火などを確実に防止することができる。また、二次電池35が破裂した場合にも、溝37部分から収納空間28の底面を破断させて二次電池35の破裂による影響をシート側に逃がすことができるので、着座者を確実に保護することができる。
次に、本発明の第3実施形態について説明する。
図4は本発明の第3実施形態を示すヘッドレスト装置10の縦断面図である。本実施形態においては、収納空間28の前方(着座者側)に保護板38を設けるようにしたものである。また、収納空間28の前方における前面クッション部40に、例えば、ウレタンなどの保護クッション材42を配置するようにしたものである。
図4は本発明の第3実施形態を示すヘッドレスト装置10の縦断面図である。本実施形態においては、収納空間28の前方(着座者側)に保護板38を設けるようにしたものである。また、収納空間28の前方における前面クッション部40に、例えば、ウレタンなどの保護クッション材42を配置するようにしたものである。
前述のように、前面クッション部40は、繊維体を編んで立体的な網状に構成した立体網状クッション体であるが、収納空間28の前方に比較的クッション性の高い保護クッション材42を配置することにより、クッション芯材12の前側下方における保護を高めるように構成したものである。
その他の構成は、前記第1実施形態に示すものと同様であることから、同一部分には同一符号を付してその説明を省略する。

本実施形態においては、二次電池35の短絡などにより二次電池35からガスが発生した場合に、ガスの濃度が高くなって発火したり、二次電池35が破裂した場合に、保護板38によりその影響を食い止めることができ、さらに、仮に保護板38が破損した場合でも、保護クッション材42を設けたことにより、二次電池35の発火や破裂などの影響を保護クッション材42により受け止めることが可能となる。
以上述べたように、本実施形態においては、収納空間28の前方に保護板38を設けるとともに、保護クッション材42を設けるようにしているので、ガスの濃度が高くなって発火したり、二次電池35が破裂した場合に、保護板38によりその影響を食い止めることができ、さらに、保護クッション材42により、二次電池35の発火や破裂などの影響を受け止めることができ、その結果、着座者を確実に保護することができる。
なお、本実施形態においては、保護板38と保護クッション材42との両方を設けた例について説明したが、いずれか一方のみを設けるようにしてもよい。
また、クッション芯材12の外側にウレタンなどの保護クッション材42を設けるようにしているが、保護クッション材42自体の厚さを厚く形成するようにしてもよいし、クッション芯材12の厚さを厚く形成するようにしてもよい。

次に、本発明の第4実施形態について説明する。
図5は本発明の第4実施形態を示すヘッドレスト装置10の縦断面図である。本実施形態においては、収納空間28を完全に密閉に構成するようにしたものである。そして、収納空間28を構成する前側ケース20と、後側ケース21と、仕切り板部25とを、例えば、自己消火剤入りの難燃材などにより形成するようにしている。
その他の構成は、前記第1実施形態に示すものと同様であることから、同一部分には同一符号を付してその説明を省略する。
図5は本発明の第4実施形態を示すヘッドレスト装置10の縦断面図である。本実施形態においては、収納空間28を完全に密閉に構成するようにしたものである。そして、収納空間28を構成する前側ケース20と、後側ケース21と、仕切り板部25とを、例えば、自己消火剤入りの難燃材などにより形成するようにしている。
その他の構成は、前記第1実施形態に示すものと同様であることから、同一部分には同一符号を付してその説明を省略する。
本実施形態においては、二次電池35の短絡などにより二次電池35からガスが発生した場合に、ガスの濃度が高くなって発火したり、二次電池35が破裂した場合に、収納空間28の内部で影響を食い止めるようにしている。すなわち、二次電池35が発火した場合には、収納空間28が密閉空間であるため酸素量に限りがあることから、早期に消火を行うことが可能となる。また、収納空間28に難燃材を用いることにより、仮に発火したとしても、他の部分に燃え広がることを確実に防止することができる。また、二次電池35が破裂した場合にも、その影響を収納空間28の内部で食い止めることができる。
以上述べたように、本実施形態においては、収納空間28を完全な密閉空間としたので、二次電池35が発火したり、二次電池35が破裂した場合に、収納空間28の内部で影響を食い止めることができ、その結果、着座者を確実に保護することができる。
なお、前記実施の形態は本発明を適用した一態様を示すものであって、本発明は前記実施の形態に限定されるものではない。
例えば、前記第1実施形態のものと、第3実施形態のものとを組み合わせるようにしてもよい。このように構成することにより、誘導口36を備えてガスを外部に逃がすことができるとともに、着座者側を保護板38および保護クッション材42により保護することができる。同様に、前記第2実施形態のものと、第3実施形態のものとを組み合わせるようにしてもよい。このように構成することにより、収納空間28の内部がガスにより高圧となった場合に、溝37により収納空間28の底面を破断して外部に逃がすとともに、着座者側を保護板38および保護クッション材42により保護することができる。
例えば、前記第1実施形態のものと、第3実施形態のものとを組み合わせるようにしてもよい。このように構成することにより、誘導口36を備えてガスを外部に逃がすことができるとともに、着座者側を保護板38および保護クッション材42により保護することができる。同様に、前記第2実施形態のものと、第3実施形態のものとを組み合わせるようにしてもよい。このように構成することにより、収納空間28の内部がガスにより高圧となった場合に、溝37により収納空間28の底面を破断して外部に逃がすとともに、着座者側を保護板38および保護クッション材42により保護することができる。

Claims (7)
- ヘッドレスト本体の芯材の内部に仕切り板で仕切られた収納空間を設け、前記収納空間の内部に二次電池を収容したことを特徴とするヘッドレスト装置。
- 前記収納空間は、前記芯材の下方に設置されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のヘッドレスト装置。
- 前記収納空間は、前記芯材の下方に開口する誘導口を有していることを特徴とする請求項1または請求項2に記載のヘッドレスト装置。
- 前記収納空間は、内部圧力が増加した場合に前記収納空間の壁面を破断させるための溝を備えていることを特徴とする請求項1から請求項3のいずれか一項に記載のヘッドレスト装置。
- 前記芯材の表面における前記収納空間の前方側に、保護クッション材を設けたことを特徴とする請求項1から請求項4のいずれか一項に記載のヘッドレスト装置。
- 前記収納空間の前方側における前記芯材の厚さを厚く形成したことを特徴とする請求項1から請求項5のいずれか一項に記載のヘッドレスト装置。
- 前記収納空間の前方側に、保護板を設けたことを特徴とする請求項1から請求項6のいずれか一項に記載のヘッドレスト装置。
