Definitions
- the present invention relates to an intermediate composition for producing an ⁇ -gel-containing O / W emulsified cosmetic and a method for producing an ⁇ -gel-containing O / W emulsified cosmetic using the intermediate composition.
- ⁇ -gel is an aggregate composed of a lamellar bimolecular film formed by coexistence of water with a linear higher alcohol having 16 or more carbon atoms or an unneutralized fatty acid and a hydrophilic surfactant.
- Non-patent Document 3 The higher alcohol and the surfactant are regularly arranged in a molecular ratio of 3: 1 in the bimolecular film (specifically, the higher alcohol has a hydrophilic group at the hexagonal corner and the surfactant has six hydrophilic groups.
- the hexagonal system Non-patent Document 3, pages 81 to 82).
- O / W emulsified cosmetics containing ⁇ -gel in the outer phase have low viscosity stability over time and increase in viscosity over time (ie, It is known that products become progressively harder).
- the emulsion cooling process is not easy, and if the cooling rate is very slow, a large amount of ⁇ -gel is formed in the outer phase, resulting in a too hard cosmetic, and if the cooling rate is too fast, crystals of higher alcohols are formed. Sometimes precipitated to form agglomerates. For this reason, this process is usually performed while adjusting the cooling rate using a cooler (onlator, etc.).
- Patent Document 3 the present inventors emulsified only an oil phase containing a higher alcohol having 16 or more carbon atoms capable of forming an ⁇ gel, a nonionic surfactant and an oil, and a part of the aqueous phase at 70 ° C. or higher. It is reported that an ⁇ -gel-containing O / W emulsified cosmetic can be produced without using a cooler by preparing a highly concentrated emulsified part and diluting the highly concentrated emulsified part with the remaining aqueous phase near room temperature. is doing.

- the hydrophilic component and other aqueous components are dissolved in water and the oil and higher alcohol are heated and dissolved in the vicinity of 70 ° C. in the water phase heated to about 70 ° C.
- the oil phase is added with stirring to emulsify, and the resulting emulsion is cooled to around 35 ° C. while stirring in a cooler to produce an ⁇ -gel-containing O / W emulsion cosmetic (for example, Patent Documents 1-3).
- the hydrophilic surfactant is in the aqueous phase
- the lipophilic higher alcohol is in the oil phase.
- Patent Documents 1-4 all follow this common sense. Further, in order to obtain emulsified particles covered with ⁇ -gel, the above-described production method designed so that the constituent components of the gel are aligned on the interface film of the emulsified particles can be said to be very efficient and suitable.

- a plurality of peaks corresponding to the long-surface interval are detected in the small-angle region, and a sharp single peak corresponding to the short-surface interval of about 0.42 nm is detected in the wide-angle region, indicating that an ⁇ gel is formed. Therefore, when various substances were added to the water for dissolving the mixture to examine the effect on ⁇ -gel formation, ⁇ -gel formation was effectively suppressed and ⁇ -gel was not included when dipropylene glycol was added. It was found that a low viscosity liquid phase was obtained. This will be described in detail below.
- Test composition 1 having the formulation shown below was prepared according to the following production method, and differential scanning calorimetry was performed to analyze the temperature at which phase transition / melting occurred. The results are shown as white circles in FIG. The shoulder peak observed in the measurement is represented by a black circle. Moreover, the phase state under each condition was also determined according to the following criteria.
- the lower layer is mainly composed of lamellar liquid crystal, and the proportion of the total composition of the lower layer is about 5% by volume or less “lamellar liquid crystal dispersed phase”, and the proportion of the lower layer is more than about 5% by volume. It was determined as “lamellar liquid crystal phase”. And what the lower layer mainly consists of (alpha) gel determined as "the liquid phase containing (alpha) gel.”
- the ratio of the lamellar liquid crystal in the lamellar liquid crystal dispersed phase decreases as the dipropylene glycol concentration increases, and when the dipropylene glycol concentration is higher than about 50%, the bicontinuous microemulsion phase containing no lamellar liquid crystal at about 64 ° C. or higher.

- FIG. 3 shows the result (80 ° C.) of analysis by changing the mixing ratio of (A) and (B).
- a region indicated by diagonal lines is a region that has become a bicontinuous microemulsion phase or a lamellar liquid crystal dispersed phase. From this result, it was confirmed that even if the content of behenyl alcohol and sodium N-stearoylmethyl taurate (molar ratio 3: 1) was increased to 80% by mass, a low-viscosity liquid phase containing no ⁇ -gel was obtained. .

From FIG. 3, a plurality of peaks corresponding to the long-surface interval are detected in the small-angle region, and a sharp single peak corresponding to the short-surface interval of about 0.42 nm is detected in the wide-angle region, and ⁇ -gel is formed in the composition. It was shown that Thus, it was shown that ⁇ gel formation was easily induced when the bicontinuous microemulsion phase formed by behenyl alcohol and sodium N-stearoylmethyltaurine in dipropylene glycol aqueous solution was diluted with water at room temperature.
- the low-viscosity liquid phase composed of the bicontinuous microemulsion phase is an “ ⁇ -gel intermediate composition” that produces an ⁇ -gel when diluted with water at about room temperature, and the ⁇ -gel intermediate. It was shown that the composition can be stably stored as a solid at room temperature. In the present application, it is confirmed that the low-viscosity liquid phase composed of the lamellar liquid crystal dispersed phase is also an “ ⁇ -gel intermediate composition” (for example, Test Examples 5 and 7 of the present application).

- a liquid phase composed of a bicontinuous microemulsion phase or a lamellar liquid crystal dispersed phase was obtained at 80 ° C.
- glycerin was used, the result was separated into a solid and a liquid. (Test Example 8).
- the polarity of the solvent is within a certain range. It was suggested that it was effective to keep
- a high ratio of 16 or more carbon atoms having a molar ratio suitable for ⁇ -gel formation (specifically, 3: 2 to 5: 1).
- An alcohol and an anionic surfactant are mixed with a water-soluble solvent having an IOB value of 1.5 to 3.5 (for example, dipropylene glycol, isoprene glycol, 1,3-butanediol, PEG-200, propylene glycol, etc.) It has become clear that it may be dissolved in an aqueous solution.

- Example 6 Examination of concentration of water-soluble solvent
- Example 2-5 since the concentration of the water-soluble solvent was fixed at 70% by mass, examination was conducted at other concentrations (specifically, 50-80% by mass). The results are shown in Table 5-9.
- isoprene glycol, dipropylene glycol, 1,3-butanediol, PEG-200, or propylene glycol is used in the range of 50-80% by mass aqueous solution. It can dissolve a higher alcohol having 16 or more carbon atoms and an anionic surfactant to form a low-viscosity liquid phase composed of a bicontinuous microemulsion phase or a liquid crystal dispersion phase, and the low-viscosity liquid phase can be stored at room temperature for a long period of time. It was shown to be a possible solid. It was confirmed that an ⁇ -gel-containing O / W emulsion excellent in emulsion stability was obtained by sequentially adding a heated oil component and a room temperature aqueous phase to the low-viscosity liquid phase and stirring and mixing.
- a higher alcohol having 16 or more carbon atoms can be obtained by using a mixed solution in which a water-soluble solvent having an IOB value of 1.5 to 3.5 and water are mixed at a mass ratio of 5: 5 to 8: 2.
- an anionic surfactant (despite being mixed in a molar ratio that tends to form an ⁇ -gel) can form a bicontinuous microemulsion phase or a liquid crystal dispersed phase instead of an ⁇ -gel, resulting in a low viscosity liquid It became clear. Then, by adding an oil component of 85 ° C.
- the ⁇ -gel intermediate composition according to the present invention easily produces an ⁇ -gel-containing O / W emulsified cosmetic with excellent emulsification stability by adding heated oil and diluting with water at room temperature. The resulting intermediate composition.
- Example 7 Examination of viscosity stability
- the conventional ⁇ -gel-containing O / W emulsified cosmetics have a big problem that the viscosity gradually increases with time. Therefore, the viscosity stability of the ⁇ -gel-containing O / W emulsified cosmetic prepared by the method according to the present invention was compared with that of the ⁇ -gel-containing O / W emulsified cosmetic prepared by the same method but with the same formulation.
- ⁇ Test Example 53 Production method of the present invention> All components of the following (1) ⁇ -gel intermediate composition were dissolved at 80 ° C. to obtain a liquid phase consisting of a colorless and transparent bicontinuous microemulsion phase. While stirring the liquid phase with a homogenizer, the following (2) oil component and oil component (that is, oil phase) dissolved by heating at 80 ° C. were added, and then the following (3) water and aqueous solution mixed at room temperature: Ingredients (ie, main aqueous phase) were added in small portions. After completion of the addition, deaeration was performed to obtain an O / W emulsified cream.

Immediately after emulsification, the mixture was cooled to 25 ° C. with stirring in an ice bath. Thereafter, deaeration was performed to obtain an O / W emulsified cream.
- oil and oily components ie, oil phase
- water and aqueous components ie, water phase
- Oil and oil component Ingredient Amount (% by mass) Behenyl alcohol 3.3 Stearyl alcohol 0.9 Liquid paraffin 6.0 Glyceryl tri-2-ethylhexanoate 4.0 (2) Water and aqueous components (aqueous phase) N-stearoylmethyl taurine sodium 1.2 Dipropylene glycol 6.5 Glycerin 9.0 1,3-butylene glycol 5.0 Phenoxyethanol 0.5 Citric acid 0.02 Sodium citrate 0.08 Ion exchange water 63.5
- ⁇ Viscosity stability test> Two types of ⁇ gel-containing O / W emulsified cosmetics prepared by the above method were stored at 0 ° C., 25 ° C., 37 ° C., or 50 ° C. for 2 months. Immediately after production, after 1 month and 2 months, a part of each cosmetic is collected and kept at 30 ° C. for 30 minutes, and then the viscosity is measured using a B-type rotational viscometer (Bismetron viscometer, manufactured by Shibaura System Co., Ltd.). Measured (rotor No. 3, 0.3 or 0.6 rpm, 5 minutes). The results are shown in Table 10.
- the cream prepared by the conventional method is about 2.0 to 2.7 times after 1 month and about 2 to 2 months after being stored at any temperature of 0 to 50 ° C.
- the viscosity was significantly increased by 2.4 to 4.1 times.
- the cream produced by the method according to the present invention showed almost no increase in viscosity at any temperature of 0 to 50 ° C., and increased by 3.2% at the highest (stored at 25 ° C. for 2 months) )Met.
- the cream produced by the method according to the present invention had a viscosity of about 3.4 times that of the cream produced by the conventional method, despite having the same formulation. Therefore, when produced by the method according to the present invention, the ⁇ -gel formation reaction is almost completed at the time of producing the emulsion, and there is a possibility that the ⁇ -gel formation reaction does not newly occur (and hence the viscosity does not increase).
- ⁇ -gel intermediate composition is an intermediate composition for easily and stably preparing an ⁇ -gel-containing O / W emulsified cosmetic that is very excellent in emulsion stability and viscosity stability. It has been shown.
- the method of use is that the intermediate composition is heated to 65-85 ° C. and an oil component heated to 85 ° C. or lower is added with stirring, followed by slow addition of water of 30 ° C. or lower to 3 to 50 times by mass. It is a very simple method of diluting to the extent. In spite of being a method that is not as simple as the conventional method, the ⁇ -gel-containing O / W emulsified cosmetic produced by this method has a very high emulsification stability, and further, the viscosity increases with time. It has an unprecedented advantage of being hardly seen.
- the ⁇ -gel intermediate composition according to the present invention has an ⁇ -gel-containing O composition that is extremely excellent in emulsion stability and viscosity stability by simply adding a heated oil to the heated composition and then diluting with water at room temperature. / W This makes it possible to produce emulsified cosmetics. Moreover, since the intermediate composition can be stably stored as a waxy solid at room temperature for a long period of time, it has very high industrial utility value such as cost reduction by mass adjustment and commercialization as an intermediate composition. It is.

Abstract
