回収処理は、紙幣処理装置10内の紙幣を回収する処理である。紙幣処理装置10においては、具体的な回収方法として、出金口回収、カセット交換回収、およびカセット計数回収が可能である。以下、各回収方法について説明する。
一般的な紙幣処理装置では、入金処理の間、入金口シャッタが閉鎖されており、入金口に紙幣を追加投入することができない。また、入金処理の際に出金口にリジェクト紙幣が集積されるが、入金処理の際にリジェクト紙幣を抜き取ることができない。すなわち、入金口に投入された紙幣の計数処理(入金処理に含まれる)が完了するまで、紙幣の追加投入や、リジェクト紙幣の抜き取りができない。このため、多量の紙幣を入金する際に長い時間を要することになる。
図3は、本発明の実施形態による紙幣処理装置10の構成を示した機能ブロック図である。図3に示したように、紙幣処理装置10は、入金口シャッタ13と、出金口シャッタ19と、搬送部24と、表示部40と、操作部42と、制御部70と、記憶部80と、検知部82とを備える。入金口シャッタ13、出金口シャッタ19、搬送部24、表示部40および操作部42については図1および図2を参照して説明した通りである。
第1の動作においては、制御部70が、入金処理に先立って入金方法設定画面の表示を制御し、通常入金が選択された場合には入金紙幣の一時保留部22への搬送後に入金口シャッタ13を解放せず、大量入金が選択された場合には入金紙幣の一時保留部22への搬送後に入金口シャッタ13を解放する。かかる構成によれば、通常入金が選択された場合、すなわち、紙幣の追加投入が行われない場合には入金口シャッタ13が解放されないので、入金口12への異物混入を防止することができる。一方、大量入金が選択された場合には、入金口シャッタ13の解放により入金口12への紙幣の追加投入を収納処理と並行して行うことが可能となるので、入金処理の効率化を図ることができる。以下、このような第1の動作について、図4~図7を参照してより具体的に説明する。
図4は、通常入金の動作例を示した説明図である。図4に示したように、まず、表示部40は、制御部70による表示制御に基づいて入金方法設定画面を表示する(S102、S104)。入金方法設定画面は、例えば図5に示したように、通常入金選択ボタン51、大量入金選択ボタン52、OKボタン53およびCancelボタン54を含む。通常入金選択ボタン51が選択された状態でOKボタン53が選択されると入金方法が通常入金に設定され、大量入金選択ボタン52が選択された状態でOKボタン53が選択されると入金方法が大量入金に設定される。Cancelボタン54が選択された場合、既存の設定が保持される。ここでは、図4に示したように、職員が通常入金選択ボタン51を選択し(S106)、入金方法が通常入金に設定されたと仮定して説明を続ける。
図6および図7は、大量入金の動作例を示した説明図である。図6に示したように、まず、表示部40は、制御部70による表示制御に基づいて入金方法設定画面を表示する(S102、S104)。ここでは、図6に示したように、入金方法設定画面において職員が大量入金選択ボタン52を選択し(S107)、入金方法が大量入金に設定されたと仮定して説明を続ける。なお、大量入金のS108~S140の処理は通常入金のS108~S140の処理と同一であるので、ここでの詳細な説明を省略する。
続いて、第1の動作による大量入金の変形例を説明する。図6および図7を参照して説明した大量入金では、S212およびS252に示したように、紙幣の収納処理が終了した後に入金口シャッタ13が閉鎖される。これに対し、大量入金の変形例によれば、紙幣の投入が検知されると、紙幣の収納処理が終了する前であっても、当該検知に基づいて入金口シャッタ13が閉鎖される。かかる構成によれば、入金口シャッタ13が解放している時間が減少するので、入金口12への異物混入をさらに抑制することが可能である。以下、図8を参照して、第1の動作による大量入金の変形例について具体的に説明する。
以上、紙幣処理装置10により行われ得る第1の動作を説明した。続いて、紙幣処理装置10により行われ得る第2の動作を説明する。第2の動作においては、制御部70が、計数処理が終了するたびに紙幣を追加投入するか否かを選択するための入金選択画面の表示を制御し、追加投入が選択された場合には入金口シャッタ13を解放し、終了が選択された場合には入金口シャッタ13の閉鎖を維持する。かかる構成によれば、最後の紙幣の投入の後に入金口シャッタ13が解放されないので、入金口12への異物の混入を防止することができる。以下、このような第2の動作について、図9~図11を参照してより具体的に説明する。
図9は、通常入金の動作例を示した説明図である。図9に示したように、職員が紙幣処理装置10に入金開始を要求すると(S103)、制御部70は、入金口シャッタ13の解放を指示し(S108)、当該指示に基づいて入金口シャッタ13が解放する(S110)。その後、図4を参照して説明したS112~S136の処理が行われる。
図11は、大量入金の動作例を示した説明図である。なお、図11には、通常入金の処理として図9で説明したS139以降の処理を示しており、大量入金におけるS139以前の処理は図9で説明した通常入金の処理と同一である。
S218の計数処理において得られた紙幣の枚数、およびS218を含むそれまでの計数処理で得られた紙幣の枚数の合計を含んでもよい。
以上、紙幣処理装置10により行われ得る第2の動作を説明した。続いて、紙幣処理装置10により行われ得る第3の動作を説明する。第3の動作は、出金処理に関する動作である。特に、第3の動作は、出金処理における紙幣処理装置10内の有高の更新タイミングの設定、および当該設定に従った出金処理に関する。この第3の動作によれば、詳細については後述するように、ジャムの発生に起因する職員の作業負荷を軽減し得る。以下では、有高更新タイミングを設定するための出金設定画面を説明した上で、有高更新タイミングごとの処理の流れを説明する。
図12は、出金設定画面の具体例を示した説明図である。図12に示したように、出金設定画面は、紙幣放出時選択ボタン71と、紙幣繰り出し時選択ボタン72と、OKボタン73と、Cancelボタン74とを含む。
次に、図13を参照し、有高更新タイミングが紙幣放出時に設定された場合の出金処理を説明する。
図14は、有高更新タイミングが紙幣繰り出し時に設定された場合の出金処理を示した説明図である。図14に示したように、職員が紙幣処理装置10に出金開始を要求すると(S402)、制御部70は、指定された金額の紙幣を紙幣カセット30から繰り出すことを搬送部24に指示する(S404)。搬送部24は、当該指示に基づいて紙幣カセット30からの紙幣の繰り出しを開始し(S407)、繰り出された紙幣を出金口18へ搬送する(S408)。ここで、搬送部24または制御部70は、紙幣カセット30から紙幣が繰り出されるタイミングで有高を更新する。すなわち、搬送部24または制御部70は、紙幣カセット30から紙幣が1枚繰り出されるごとに、該当する金種の有高を1枚減算する。
以上、紙幣処理装置10により行われ得る第3の動作を説明した。続いて、紙幣処理装置10により行われ得る第4の動作を説明する。第4の動作は、入金処理に関する動作である。特に、第4の動作は、入金処理において障害が発生した場合のシャッタ制御に関する。この第4の動作によれば、詳細については後述するように、入金処理において障害が発生した場合に入金紙幣を迅速に顧客へ返却することが可能となる。以下では、入金処理におけるシャッタ制御の設定画面を説明した上で、各シャッタ制御による処理の流れを説明する。
図16は、入金処理におけるシャッタ制御の設定画面の具体例を示した説明図である。図16に示したように、シャッタ制御の設定画面は、シャッタ解放選択ボタン91、シャッタ閉鎖選択ボタン92、OKボタン93およびCancelボタン94を含む。
次に、図17を参照し、入金処理におけるシャッタ制御が「シャッタ解放」である場合の処理を説明する。
以上、添付図面を参照しながら本発明の好適な実施形態について詳細に説明したが、本発明はかかる例に限定されない。本発明の属する技術の分野における通常の知識を有する者であれば、特許請求の範囲に記載された技術的思想の範疇内において、各種の変更例または修正例に想到し得ることは明らかであり、これらについても、当然に本発明の技術的範囲に属するものと了解される。

Claims (13)
- 開閉部材を有する入金口と、
現金を一時的に収納する一時保留部と、
現金を収納する収納部と、
入金処理において、前記入金口に投入された現金を前記開閉部材が閉鎖された状態で前記一時保留部に搬送し、前記一時保留部に収納された現金を前記収納部へ搬送する搬送部と、
一取引において現金の投入を一回行う第1の入金方法、または一取引において現金の投入を複数回に渡って行う第2の入金方法を選択するための選択画面の表示を制御し、
前記入金口に投入された現金の前記一時保留部への搬送が終了した後であって、前記一時保留部に収納された現金の前記収納部への搬送が終了する前に、前記第1の入金方法が選択された場合には前記開閉部材の解放を指示せず、前記第2の入金方法が選択された場合には前記開閉部材の解放を指示する制御部と、
を備える、現金処理装置。 - 前記制御部は、一取引における前記入金口への1回目の現金の投入前に前記選択画面の表示を制御する、請求項1に記載の現金処理装置。
- 前記制御部は、一取引において前記入金口へ1回目に投入された現金が前記一時保留部に搬送された後に前記選択画面の表示を制御する、請求項1に記載の現金処理装置。
- 前記制御部は、前記第2の入金方法においては、前記一時保留部に収納された現金の前記収納部への搬送を指示する前に、前記開閉部材の解放を指示する、請求項1に記載の現金処理装置。
- 前記制御部は、前記第2の入金方法においては、前記一時保留部に収納された現金の前記収納部への搬送が終了した後に、前記開閉部材の閉鎖を指示する、請求項1に記載の現金処理装置。
- 前記制御部は、前記第2の入金方法における2回目以降の現金の投入では、前記開閉部材の解放を指示した後、前記入金口への現金の投入が検知されると、当該検知に基づいて前記開閉部材の閉鎖を指示する、請求項1に記載の現金処理装置。
- 顧客が現金を受け取るための出金口をさらに備え、
前記搬送部は、出金処理において、前記収納部から前記出金口に現金を搬送し、前記収納部から現金を繰り出すタイミングで、前記収納部の有高を更新する、請求項1に記載の現金処理装置。 - 前記制御部は、前記出金処理においてジャムが発生した場合、前記出金口に搬送済みの現金および前記搬送部に残留する現金を示す画面の表示を制御する、請求項7に記載の現金処理装置。
- 前記制御部は、前記収納部の有高の更新タイミングを、前記収納部から現金を繰り出すタイミングを含む複数のタイミングから選択するための画面の表示を制御する、請求項7または8に記載の現金処理装置。
- 前記制御部は、前記入金処理において前記入金口から前記一時保留部への現金の搬送中にジャムが発生し、前記入金口に現金が残留する場合、前記開閉部材の解放を指示する、請求項1に記載の現金処理装置。
- 前記制御部は、前記入金処理において前記入金口から前記一時保留部への現金の搬送中にジャムが発生した場合、前記搬送部に残留する現金を示す画面の表示を制御する、請求項8に記載の現金処理装置。
- 前記搬送部に残留する現金を示す画面は、前記入金口に現金が残留するか否かをさらに示す、請求項11に記載の現金処理装置。
- 開閉部材を有する入金口、現金を一時的に収納する一時保留部、現金を収納する収納部、および、入金処理において、前記入金口に投入された現金を前記開閉部材が閉鎖された状態で前記一時保留部に搬送し、前記一時保留部に収納された現金を前記収納部へ搬送する搬送部、を有する現金処理装置において実行される現金処理方法であって、
一取引において現金の投入を一回行う第1の入金方法、または一取引において現金の投入を複数回に渡って行う第2の入金方法を選択するための選択画面の表示を制御することと、
前記入金口に投入された現金の前記一時保留部への搬送が終了した後であって、前記一時保留部に収納された現金の前記収納部への搬送が終了する前に、前記第1の入金方法が選択された場合には前記開閉部材の解放を指示せず、前記第2の入金方法が選択された場合には前記開閉部材の解放を指示することと、
を含む、現金処理方法。
