Abstract
Description
本願は、2014年02月21日に、日本に出願された特願2014-032062号に基づき優先権を主張し、その内容をここに援用する。
ステアリング装備部品の取付けに際しては、作業性が良く、ステアリングホイール本体に対し簡単に取り付けられることが望まれている。このため、各種のステアリングホイール構造が出されている(例えば、特許文献1参照)。
このステアリングホイール構造において、ステアリングホイール本体にホーンブロックを取り付ける場合には、ホーンブロックをステアリングホイール本体に位置決めし、その状態でホーンブロックをリターンスプリングの反力に抗して押し込む。このとき、取付ピンの先端部が対応するピン受容部内に所定量以上挿入されると、抜け規制部材が自身のばね反力によって取付ピンの係合凹部内に進入し、それによってホーンブロックの抜けが規制される。
(1)本発明の態様に係るステアリングホイール構造は、ステアリングシャフトに支持されるステアリングホイール本体と、ホーン操作時に警告音を鳴らすホーン回路と、前記ステアリングホイール本体に取り付けられるステアリング装備部品と、を備え、前記ステアリングホイール本体と前記ステアリング装備部品とには、前記ステアリング装備部品の取付け時に、前記ステアリング装備部品が前記ステアリングホイール本体に対して所定ストローク以上押し込み操作されたときに、前記ステアリング装備部品が前記ステアリングホイール本体に抜け止めされる係止部が設けられ、前記ステアリングホイール本体と前記ステアリング装備部品とに互いの接触によって前記ホーン回路を通電させる通電部がそれぞれ設けられ、前記係止部には、前記ステアリング装備部品の取付け時に、前記ステアリング装備部品が前記所定ストローク以上押し込み操作されるまでの間は、前記通電部同士が接触接続され、前記ステアリング装備部品が前記所定ストローク以上押し込み操作されたときに前記通電部同士の接触接続が遮断される接点構造が設けられている。
これにより、ステアリング装備部品の取付け時に、ステアリング装備部品をステアリングホイール本体の所定の位置に押し込むと、ステアリング装備部品が所定ストローク以上押し込み操作されるまではステアリング装備部品側の通電部とステアリングホイール本体側の通電部とが接触し、ホーン回路がホーンの警告音を鳴らすようになる。この状態からステアリング装備部品が所定ストローク以上押し込み操作されると、ステアリング装備部品が係止部によってステアリングホイール本体に抜け止めされるとともに、通電部同士の接触接続が解除されてホーンの警告音が停止する。作業者は、これによりステアリング装備部品がステアリングホイール本体に確実に抜け止めされたことを知ることができる。
この場合、ステアリング装備部品の取付け時に、前記ステアリング装備部品が所定ストローク以上押し込み操作されるまでは、ピン受容部の抜け規制部材が取付ピンのガイド壁に接触することにより、ホーン回路がホーンの警告音を鳴らす。この状態から前記ステアリング装備部品が前記所定ストローク以上押し込み操作されると、ピン受容部の抜け規制部材が取付ピンの係合凹部内に進入し、ステアリング装備部品の抜けが規制されるとともに、通電部同士の接触接続が解除されてホーンの警告音が停止する。
この場合、ステアリング装備部品をステアリングホイール本体に位置決めし、取付ピンのテーパ状のガイド壁にピン受容部の抜け規制部材を当接させる。この状態からステアリング装備部品を反力付与手段の力に抗して押し込むと、抜け規制部材が取付ピンのガイド壁に案内されて取付ピンの進入軌道から離反する方向に押し動かされる。こうして、前記ステアリング装備部品が前記所定ストローク以上押し込み操作されると、抜け規制部材が付勢力によって取付ピンの係合凹部内に移動する。したがって、ステアリング装備部品をステアリングホイール本体に容易に取り付けることができる。
この場合、ステアリング装備部品の取付け時に、ステアリング装備部品が所定ストローク以上押し込み操作されるまでは、第2のピン受容部の抜け規制部材が第2の取付ピンのガイド壁に接触することにより、ホーン回路がホーンの警告音を鳴らす。この状態からステアリング装備部品が前記所定ストローク以上押し込み操作されると、第1の取付ピンと第1のピン受容部との対と、第2の取付ピンと第2のピン受容部との対がそれぞれステアリング装備部品の抜けを規制するようになる一方で、第2のピン受容部の抜け規制部材が第2の取付ピンの係合凹部内に進入し、通電部同士の接触接続が解除されてホーンの警告音が停止する。
この場合、ステアリング装備部品が第1の取付ピンと第1のピン受容部とによる抜け規制位置よりも抜け方向に大きく変位したときに、第2のピン受容部の抜け規制部材が第2の取付ピンの係合凹部の壁と当接することにより、ステアリング装備部品の過大な抜け方向の変位が規制される。
この場合、初期状態では、ステアリング装備部品が第1の取付ピンのゴム弾性体を介してステアリングホイール本体に支持されることになる。このため、ステアリング装備部品の質量とゴム弾性体のばね特性を適切に設定することにより、ステアリング装備部品がゴム弾性体とともにステアリングホイールの振動を低減するダイナミックダンパとして機能するようになる。
この場合、ステアリング装備部品をステアリングホイール本体に位置決めし、第1の取付ピンのテーパ状のガイド壁に第1のピン受容部の抜け規制部材を当接させるとともに、第2の取付ピンのテーパ状のガイド壁に第2のピン受容部の抜け規制部材を当接させる。この状態からステアリング装備部品を反力付与手段の力に抗して押し込むと、第1のピン受容部の抜け規制部材が第1の取付ピンのガイド壁に案内されて第1の取付ピンの進入軌道から離反する方向に押し動かされるとともに、第2のピン受容部の抜け規制部材が第2の取付ピンのガイド壁に案内されて第2の取付ピンの進入軌道から離反する方向に押し動かされる。こうして、ステアリング装備部品が所定ストローク以上押し込み操作されると、各抜け規制部材が付勢力によって対応する取付ピンの係合凹部内に移動する。したがって、ステアリング装備部品をステアリングホイール本体に容易に取り付けることができる。
最初に、図1~図4に示す第1の実施形態について説明する。
図1は、車両の車室内の運転席を示す図であり、図2は、図1の運転席のII-II断面に対応するステアリングホイール1の断面図である。
これらの図に示すように、ステアリングホイール1は、インストルメントパネル2から車室内側後方に突出するステアリングシャフト3の先端部に、運転者によって把持されるステアリングホイール本体4が取り付けられ、ステアリングホイール本体4の中央領域にホーン操作部であるステアリングパッド5が配置されている。
なお、以下の説明において、軸方向とは、特別に断らない限り、図中矢印A方向で示すステアリングシャフト3の長手方向を意味するものとする。また、同様に軸直角方向とは、特別に断らない限り、図中矢印B1-B4方向で示すステアリングシャフト3の長手方向と直交する方向を意味するものとする。
ステアリングホイール本体4の中央のカバー部6と外周側のリム部8との間には、車体後方側に窪む凹状空間11が設けられ、その凹状空間11に、エアバッグモジュール12とステアリングパッド5とが一体化されたホーンブロック13が配置されている。この実施形態においては、ホーンブロック13がステアリング装備部品を構成している。
この実施形態の場合、フローティング支持部23は、ステアリングシャフト3を中心として上部の左右両側に2箇所と、下部の中央に1箇所設けられているが、これらの構造は全て同一構造とされている。なお、図2には、ステアリングシャフト3の上部の左右両側の2箇所のフローティング支持部23が示されている。
同図に示すように、取付ピン24は、基端部31がホーンブロック13の第2リテーナ17に取り付けられ、その先端部がステアリングホイール本体4のカバー部6の方向に突出している。カバー部6の取付ピン24に対応する位置には、取付ピン24の先端部を受容するピン受容部27が設けられている。この実施形態の場合、ピン受容部27は、取付ピン24の先端部が挿入される支持孔35と、支持孔35からの取付ピン24の抜けを規制する抜け規制部材36と、を備えている。また、この実施形態においては、取付ピン24とピン受容部27とが、ホーンブロック13をステアリングホイール本体4に対して抜け止めする係止部を構成している。
この実施形態の場合、取付ピン24全体は導電性の金属材料によって形成されている。
また、テーパ部32は、ホーンブロック13をステアリングホイール本体4に取り付けるときに、抜け規制部材36を案内するガイド壁部を構成している。
切欠き溝34の溝幅(取付ピン24の軸方向に沿う方向の幅)は、抜け規制部材36の外径よりも幅広く形成され、ホーンブロック13をステアリングホイール本体4に取り付けた状態では、切欠き溝34の溝幅と抜け規制部材36の外径との差分だけ取付ピン24の軸方向に沿った変位を許容する。また、切欠き溝34の内壁には、絶縁部材37が取り付けられている。この実施形態では、取付ピン24と抜け規制部材36とが通電部も構成している。
ホーンブロック13の取付時には、まず、ホーンブロック13をステアリングホイール本体4に対して位置決めし、図4(A)に示すように、ホーンブロック13に突設された取付ピン24をステアリングホイール本体4側の対応する支持孔35内に挿入する。このとき、ホーンブロック13をステアリングホイール本体4のカバー部6方向に押し込むと、取付ピン24の周域に配置されているリターンスプリング25が圧縮されつつ、取付ピン24の先端側のテーパ部32が支持孔35を潜り抜ける。
また、このとき抜け規制部材36と取付ピン24とが直接接触するため、ホーン回路38がオン状態になってホーンが鳴ることになる。
この状態からホーンブロック13が所定ストローク以上に押し込み操作されると、図4(C)に示すように、抜け規制部材36が取付ピン24上の切欠き溝34内に位置され、自身のばね反力によって切欠き溝34内に進入する。このとき切欠き溝34内には絶縁部材37が配置されているため、抜け規制部材36と取付ピン24との直接接触が遮断され、ホーン回路38がオフ状態となる。この結果、ホーンの作動音は停止する。
したがって、ホーンブロック13を取り付ける作業者は、抜け規制部材36が切欠き溝34内に進入してホーンブロック13がステアリングホイール本体4に確実に抜け規制されたことをこの作動音の停止によって知ることができる。
なお、ホーン回路38と、取付ピン24及び抜け規制部材36と、の間には、切り換えスイッチを介在させ、ホーンブロック13の取付け時にのみ切り換えスイッチを通電状態にするようにしても良い。
第2の実施形態のステアリングホイール構造は、ホーンブロック13とステアリングホイール本体4との間に構造と機能が若干異なる第1のフローティング支持部23Aと第2のフローティング支持部23Bとが設けられている。
この実施形態の場合、第1の取付ピン24Aと第1のピン受容部27Aとの対と、第2の取付ピン24Bと第2のピン受容部27Bとの対とが、ホーンブロック13の抜けを規制する係止部を構成している。
第2の取付ピン24Bの切欠き溝34Bは、軸部28の先端側の壁に湾曲した窪み部41が設けられている。このため、第2の取付ピン24Bの切欠き溝34Bは、窪み部41の分だけ第1の取付ピン24Aの切欠き溝34Aよりも軸部28の先端側に幅広となっている。図5に示すように、ホーンブロック13がステアリングホイール本体4に取り付けられた状態では、第1のピン受容部27Aの抜け規制部材36Aが第1の取付ピン24Aの切欠き溝34内の端面に当接して変位を規制されているときに、第2のピン受容部27Bの抜け規制部材36Bは第2の取付ピン24Bの切欠き溝34Bの絶縁部材37に対して非接触状態となる。
また、この実施形態の場合、第1の取付ピン24Aのゴム弾性体40は、ホーンブロック13とともに、ステアリングホイール1の振動を抑制するダイナミックダンパを構成している。即ち、ホーンブロック13の質量とゴム弾性体40のばね特性とは、ステアリングホイール1への振動入力時に、ホーンブロック13がその振動に共振するように設定されている。
こうしてホーンブロック13が所定ストローク以上に押し込み操作されると、図6(C)に示すように、抜け規制部材36A,36Bが第1の取付ピン24Aと第2の取付ピン24Bとの各切欠き溝34A,34B内に位置され、自身のばね反力によって切欠き溝34A,34B内に進入する。このとき、第1のピン受容部27Aの抜け規制部材36Aは切欠き溝34A内の端面に当接し、第2のピン受容部27Bの抜け規制部材36Bは切欠き溝34Bの壁と非接触となる。これにより、ホーン回路38がオフ状態となり、ホーンの作動が停止する。

- ステアリングシャフトに支持されるステアリングホイール本体と、
ホーン操作時に警告音を鳴らすホーン回路と、
前記ステアリングホイール本体に取り付けられるステアリング装備部品と、を備え、
前記ステアリングホイール本体と前記ステアリング装備部品とには、前記ステアリング装備部品の取付け時に、前記ステアリング装備部品が前記ステアリングホイール本体に対して所定ストローク以上押し込み操作されたときに、前記ステアリング装備部品が前記ステアリングホイール本体に抜け止めされる係止部が設けられ、
前記ステアリングホイール本体と前記ステアリング装備部品とに互いの接触によって前記ホーン回路を通電させる通電部がそれぞれ設けられ、
前記係止部には、前記ステアリング装備部品の取付け時に、前記ステアリング装備部品が前記所定ストローク以上押し込み操作されるまでの間は、前記通電部同士が接触接続され、前記ステアリング装備部品が前記所定ストローク以上押し込み操作されたときに前記通電部同士の接触接続が遮断される接点構造が設けられていることを特徴とするステアリングホイール構造。 - 前記係止部は、前記ステアリング装備部品と前記ステアリングホイール本体との一方に突設された取付ピンと、前記ステアリング装備部品と前記ステアリングホイール本体との他方に設けられ前記取付ピンの先端部を受容するピン受容部と、を備え、

- 前記ステアリング装備部品が前記ステアリングホイール本体に取り付けられた初期状態では、前記第2の取付ピンと前記第2のピン受容部とが非接触状態とされていることを特徴とする請求項4または5に記載のステアリングホイール構造。
- 前記第1の取付ピンの軸部は、前記軸部の外周側に開口する係合凹部と、前記係合凹部の軸部先端側に隣接して配置されるガイド壁部と、を有し、
前記第1の取付ピンと前記第2の取付ピンとの各前記ガイド壁部は、各軸部の先端側に向かって先細りに縮径するテーパ状に形成され、
