【課題】ガーニッシュを有するシートクッションにおいて、その組付性と外観品質を向上させることである。 【解決手段】起立状の板金製フレーム４と、このフレーム４に嵌合しフレーム４の外周面を被覆するガーニッシュ１と、前記フレーム４に支持されるクッション体３を被覆するトリムカバー２とを有し、前記トリムカバー２の端末２０を前記ガーニッシュ１の外面に止着する。

Description

車両用シート
　本発明は車両用シートに関し、詳しくはシートクッションの外側面にガーニッシュを有する車両用シートに関するものである。
　車両用シート、例えば、自動車用シートのシートクッションには、特開２００９－１２５４８号公報に示すように、シートクッションの両側面近傍に配置された一対の板金製のフレームを合成樹脂製のガーニッシュで隠し、フレーム及びフレームに固定された機構部品が外部へ露出しないようにすることで、乗員への危害性を防止するとともにシートクッションの外観品質を向上させているものがある。
このような従来のシートクッションでは、フレームに、ガーニッシュを取り付けるための取付孔などを設けるとともに、ガーニッシュには前記フレームの取付孔に係合するクリップなどからなる取付部材を設ける必要があった。
　従って、従来のガーニッシュを有するシートクッションは、シートクッションを構成する発泡体製パッドなどのクッション体をトリムカバーで被覆して、そのトリムカバーの端末をフレーム等に止着した後、外部に露出するフレーム及びフレームに固定された機構部品を合成樹脂製のガーニッシュで隠してシートクッションを組み付けている。

　このように、従来品はトリムカバーの端末及びガーニッシュの双方を各々フレーム等に固定する構造であるため、シートクッションの組付性が悪くなる不具合があった。また、トリムカバーの端末とガーニッシュの固定手段を各々フレーム等に設ける必要があり、構造が複雑化している。
　そこで、本発明はガーニッシュを有する車両用シートにおいて、シートクッションの組付性が良く、外観品質に優れたシートクッションを提供することを目的とする。
　上記の目的を達成すための本発明は、板金製フレームと、このフレームの外周縁に嵌合しフレームの少なくとも外側面を被覆するガーニッシュと、前記フレームに支持されるクッション体を被覆するトリムカバーとを有し、前記トリムカバーの端末を前記ガーニッシュに固着することを特徴とする構成である。
　従って、あらかじめ、トリムカバーの端末をガーニッシュに固着し、一体化した状態にあるので、ガーニッシュをフレームに嵌合するのみで、トリムカバーおよびガーニッシュがクッション体およびフレームを被覆することが出来るので、シートクッションの組付性を向上させることが可能となる。そして、トリムカバーの端末をフレームに固定する為の部材、及びガーニッシュの取付部材が不要となり、またトリムカバーの端末構造とガーニッシュの構造の複雑化を防止できる。
　前記ガ－ニッシュが軟質樹脂からなり、前記トリムカバーの端末が前記ガーニッシュの外側面側、あるいは折曲部の上辺に位置するように互いに縫着されているので、ガーニッシュは形状自由度を有し、フレームの外形形状に追従した形状に成形でき、フレームに組付ける際の正確な位置出しが不要になる。
　前記ガ－ニッシュに前記トリムカバーの端末が前記ガーニッシュの外側面側、あるいは折曲部の上辺に位置するように互いに縫着されているので、トリムカバーの端末をガーニッシュに容易且つ確実に固定できる。また、ガーニッシュの上端がトリムカバーに被覆されるため、ガーニッシュの上端縁が外部に露出していないので、ガーニッシュの上端縁のめくれや露出した上端縁に加わる衝撃によるガーニッシュの破損が防止され、シートクッションの外観品質の向上が図られる。
前記ガーニッシュは、エラストマーまたは不識布からなるので、成形が容易で嵌合するための適度な柔軟性を得ることが出来る。
前記ガーニッシュは、前記フレームと平面視略同形状である外側面部と、該外側面部の外周から内側に折り曲げられて延設する嵌合部とを有するので、ガーニッシュの前記フレームの周縁へ容易に嵌合することが出来る。
　本発明によれば、ガーニッシュがフレームの被覆部材とトリムカバーの端末固定部材になるため、構造が簡単でシートクッションの組付性を向上し得る。
また、トリムカバーとガーニッシュが一体であるため、シートクッションの外観品質が良好になる。

本発明の一実施形態につき、図１乃至図４に基づき説明する。
本発明に係る車両用シートの一実施形態として、自動車用シートのフロントシートを示し、図１において、図中、ＳＣはシートクッション、ＳＢはシートバックを夫々示す。
シートクッションＳＣの左右の外側面からシートバックＳＢの側面下部にわたってガーニッシュ１が設けられており、トリムカバー２の端末２０が、このガーニッシュ１の外側面側からガーニッシュ１にミシンで縫着されることにより固着されている。
図１において、図中２Ａはトリムカバー２の側部マチ部、２Ｂはトリムカバー２の前部マチ部、５はシートクッションの前後位置調整用のスライドレールで、シートクッションＳＣ側の可動レール５０と、この可動レール５０がスライド自在に嵌合し車床ＦＬに固定する固定レール５１とから構成されている。
以上のシートクッションＳＣは発泡体製パッドなどのクッション体３と、このクッション体３を被覆するトリムカバー２と、クッション体３を支持するフレーム４などにより構成され、フレーム４は、左右一対の板金製で起立状に配設され、この左右一対のフレーム４は、図４に示すように、前後のパイプ４１、４２で一体に連結される。図示しないが、この前後のパイプ４１、４２は支持プレート４３に固設されている。
以上のフレーム４の内面４ｄには、前記可動レール５０の上端部が溶接されており、フレーム４の上下部には、補強用のフランジ４Ａ、４Ｂが一体成形されている。
ガーニッシュ１は、フレーム４の側面側形状と略同一に形成された外側面部１Ａと、該外側面部１Ａの外周から内側に折り曲げられて延設する嵌合部１０とが一体的に形成されている。
ガーニッシュ１の嵌合部１０は、外側面部１Ａから９０度内側に折り曲げられた周縁部１０ａとさらに９０度内側に折り曲げられた係合部１０ｂを備えている（図２参照）。
図４のように、ガーニッシュ１はフレーム４の外周縁を構成するフランジ４Ａ、４Ｂを周縁部１０ａと係合部１０ｂとにより覆うように嵌合することで、フレーム４に確実に嵌め合わされて固定される。
このガーニッシュ１はミシン縫い可能な軟質樹脂からなり、例えばエラストマーで成形される。エラストマーはオレフィン系エラストマーであるが、これに限らず、他の熱可塑性エラストマー、或いはゴム弾性を有する他の合成樹脂で成形しても良い。
このように、ガーニッシュ１をエラストマーで成形することにより、ガーニッシュ１の形状自由度が確保されるため、ガーニッシュ１をフレーム４の外形形状に追従した形状に成形できる。そのため、ガーニッシュ１をフレーム４に組付けるときの位置出し作業が不要となる。
また、ガーニッシュ１にあらかじめトリムカバー２の端末２０を縫着することにより、トリムカバー２及びガーニッシュ１に、相互に係合する係合部材を設ける必要もなく、部品点数の削減化を図ることができる。
なお、このガーニッシュ１はトリムカバー２を縫製可能且つ保形性を有する成形不織布で、例えば、実開平７－１５４４８号公報に開示されているように、ポリエステル繊維にＳＢ系樹脂を含浸させて加熱等して、プレス成形して成形してもよい。
このガーニッシュ1の上端部１Ｂには、図２に示すように、トリムカバー２の側部マチ部２Ａにおける端末２０がミシンで縫着されている。この端末２０は内側上方へ折り返されて、それにより折り返し部２Ｅが側部マチ部２Ａ下端に形成される。この折り返し部２Ｅにより、縫着部２１が内側に隠されて外部に露出しないようにしている。
従って、従来の如く、端末２０にトリムワイヤを挿入する袋部などを形成することなく、端末２０を直接固定部材であるガーニッシュ１に縫着している。それゆえ、トリムカバー２の端末固定構造が簡単になるし、トリムカバー２の端末２０を容易に固定でき、組付時の作業性を向上し得る。
また、ガーニッシュ１の上端部１Ｂが、トリムカバー２の折り返し部２Ｅによって被覆されるため、ガーニッシュ１の上端側からトリムカバー２の下端がめくれ出すこともなくこのガーニッシュ１の上端部１Ｂが露出することもないので、シートクッションＳＣの側面（図では左側）における外観品質が向上する。また、外部の衝撃がガーニッシュ１に生じた場合にでも、衝撃の殆どがトリムカバー２の折り返し部２Ｅに吸収されガーニッシュ１の破損を防止できる。
なお、図示するトリムカバー２の端末２０は縫着によりガーニッシュ上端部１Ｂに固着しているが、接着材やホック止めなどの他の手段により固着しても良い。
図３に示すように、トリムカバー２の前部マチ部２Ｂの端末２０`には、断面Ｕ字状の合成樹脂製掛止片２２を縫着している。この掛止片２２を支持プレート４３の前端部４３ａに設けた爪片４４に掛止することにより、前部マチ部２Ｂの端末２０｀を支持プレート４３の前端部４３ａに固定する。この際、前部マチ部２Ｂの下端側には折り返し部２Ｅａが形成されるが、この折り返し部２Ｅａは、上述の側部マチ部２Ａの下端も折り返し部２Ｅとほぼ一致した位置に配置する。これにより、シートクッションＳＣの前面（２Ｂ）と側面（２Ａ）とは上下幅が同一となり外観品質が向上する。
なお、前部マチ部２Ｂの反対側の後部マチ部（図示せず）も、上記掛止片２２と爪片４４と略同様な固着手段により支持プレート４３後端縁（図示せず）に固定している。
以上のガーニッシュ１にトリムカバー２を固着した状態で、トリムカバー２でクッション体３を被覆した後、ガーニッシュ１の嵌合部１０、１０をフレーム４のフランジ４Ａ、４Ｂに嵌合することにより、ガーニッシュ１はフレーム４に固定される。これにより、トリムカバー２の端末２０も固定され、図１に示すように、シートクッションＳＣが組付けられる。
従って、フレーム４の外面がガーニッシュ１により被覆され、ガーニッシュ１の上部１Ｂはトリムカバー２の端末２０と折り返し部２Ｅによって被覆されるため、意匠的に優れたシートクッションＳＣを提供できる。
また、フレーム４には、従来品の如く、特別にガーニッシュ取付用の取付孔などを設ける必要がないため、従来のフレームをそのまま利用可能になり、ガーニッシュ１を直接フレームに取り付け固定できる。更に、従来のガーニッシュのように、フレームにビスなどで固定する必要もないため、ガーニッシュ自体の構造も簡単になる。
図５、６は、本発明の他の実施例を示すが、前記実施例と構成はほぼ同じなので、同一符号を付し、前記実施例とは異なる構成につき説明する。
トリムカバー２は、ガーニッシュ１の嵌合部１０を構成する折り曲げられた周縁部１０ｂの上辺に沿って、その端末２２がガーニッシュ１の周縁部１０ｂに縫着されている。
この様に、前記実施例と同様に、フレーム４の外面がガーニッシュ１により被覆されため、意匠的に優れたシートクッションＳＣを提供できるし、フレーム４には、従来品の如く、特別にガーニッシュ取付用の取付孔などを設ける必要がないため、従来のフレームをそのまま利用可能になり、ガーニッシュ１を直接フレームに取り付け固定できる。更に、従来のガーニッシュのように、フレームにビスなどで固定する必要もないため、ガーニッシュ自体の構造も簡単になる。

Claims (8)

  1. 　板金製フレームと、このフレームの周縁に嵌合しフレームの少なくとも外側面を被覆するガーニッシュと、前記フレームに支持されるクッション体を被覆するトリムカバーとを有し、
    　前記トリムカバーの端部は前記ガーニッシュに固着されていることを特徴とする車両用シート。
  2. 前記ガ－ニッシュは、縫着可能な軟質樹脂からなり、前記トリムカバーの端部が前記ガーニッシュの外側面側に位置するように互いに縫着されている請求項１記載の車両用シート。
  3. 前記ガ－ニッシュは、縫着可能な軟質樹脂からなり、前記トリムカバーの端部が前記ガーニッシュの周縁部の上辺に位置するように互いに縫着されている請求項１記載の車両用シート。

  6. 前記ガ－ニッシュは、前記フレームと平面視略同形状である外側面部と、該外側面部の外周から内側に折り曲げられて延設する嵌合部とを有し、該嵌合部が前記フレームの周縁に嵌合する請求項１記載の車両用シート。
  7. 前記トリムカバーの端部は、前記ガーニッシュの外側面へ内側へと折り返されて、折り返し部を形成し、この折り返し部をガーニッシュの外面に配置すると共に、前記折り返し部の端部をガーニッシュに縫着してなる請求項１記載の車両用シート。
  8. 前記トリムカバーの端部は、前記ガーニッシュの周縁部の上辺内側へと折り返されて、折り返し部を形成し、この折り返し部をガーニッシュの周縁部の上辺に配置すると共に、前記折り返し部の端部をガーニッシュに縫着してなる請求項１記載の車両用シート。
