Abstract

座を構成するクッションフレーム２１と、背もたれを構成するバックフレーム３１と、クッションフレーム２１およびバックフレーム３１を締結する締結部材４と、を備える車両用のシートに用いられるトリムカバー８である。該トリムカバー８は、締結部材４のうち少なくとも剥き出しとなっている部位を覆う、当該トリムカバー８に一体化されたカバー部材９を備える。

Description

シート用のトリムカバー
　本発明は、シート用のトリムカバーに関する。
　自動車を軽量化するという要求の下、シートの骨格をなすシートフレームの材質を鉄や金属から樹脂に置換した樹脂シートフレームが提案されている。樹脂シートフレームは鉄シートフレームと異なり、表面処理を施す事によって当該部分を表皮で覆わずに露出させ、シート外観の一部を構成することができる。
　上記のごとき樹脂シートフレームは、一般的なシートのように全体を表皮で覆われているわけではないため、背もたれを構成するバックフレームと座を構成するクッションフレームとを締結するためのボルト、ナット、ブラケット等といった締結部材が剥き出しになる場合がある。剥き出しの締結部材に乗員等の身体が触れたり当たったりすると好ましくない。
　従来、剥き出しの締結部材への対策としては、バックフレームの両側に大型の樹脂製カバーを取り付ける等して締結部材を隠す処理などが実施されている（例えば特許文献１参照）。

　しかしながら、このような樹脂製カバーを採用した場合、製造コストや取付作業の手間が生じやすい。特に、外観をバックフレームと一体化させるべく爪を押し込む等の構造にした場合はなおさらである。
　本発明は、剥き出しの締結部材を覆うカバー部材の取付作業が簡便であり、なおかつそのための構成を簡素とした、シート用のトリムカバーを提供することを目的とする。
　かかる課題を解決するべく、本発明は、座を構成するクッションフレームと、背もたれを構成するバックフレームと、前記クッションフレームおよび前記バックフレームを締結する締結部材と、を備える車両用のシートに用いられるトリムカバーにおいて、
　前記締結部材のうち少なくとも剥き出しとなっている部位を覆う、当該トリムカバーに一体化されたカバー部材を備えることを特徴とする。
　本発明によれば、フレームにトリムカバーを取り付ければ、該トリムカバーに一体化されたカバー部材で、締結部材の剥き出しになっている部位を覆った状態とすることができる。このため、カバー部材を取り付ける作業が簡便である。また、締結部材の剥き出しになっている部位を覆うための構成が、大型の樹脂製カバーなどに比べて簡素となる。
　しかも、カバー部材によってトリムカバーのトリムエンド処理をすることができることから、シートの外観品質の向上に寄与しうる。
　前記カバー部材は、前記トリムカバーが前記バックフレームに取り付けられると、前記締結部材の前記剥き出し部位に対応する位置に配置されていることが好ましい。
　前記カバー部材は、エラストマー製または軟質樹脂製であってもよい。
　前記カバー部材に、前記締結部材を覆う凹部が形成されていてもよい。
　前記凹部は、その内壁が前記締結部材に圧接する大きさに形成されていてもよい。
　前記カバー部材は、前記トリムカバーに縫合されて一体化されていてもよい。
　前記カバー部材に、当該シートが内蔵するエアバッグ装置に関する表記がされていてもよい。
　本発明によれば、剥き出しの締結部材を覆うカバー部材の取付作業が簡便であり、なおかつそのための構成を簡便とすることができる。

　以下、図面を参照しつつ本発明に係るトリムカバー８の好適な実施形態を詳細に説明する（図１～図４参照）。
　トリムカバー８が取り付けられるシート１は、車両のフロアパネル上で前後に移動可能な座２、背もたれ３、トリムカバー８、カバー部材９などを備える（図１等参照）。
　座２および当該座２に対してリクライニング可能な背もたれ３は、それぞれ、シート１を構成するシート部材であり、発泡体からなるクッション材（図示省略）を備えている。背もたれ３にはヘッドレスト３Ａが設けられている。
　座２は、鉄製のフレーム（樹脂製のフレームの場合もあるが、本実施形態では鉄製フレームを例示して説明する。なお、本明細書では座２のフレームをクッションフレームと呼ぶ）を備える。図３に、クッションフレーム２１の一部を符号２１で示している。なお、ナットの位置はクッションフレーム２１の厚みが考慮されていないものだが、実際にクッションフレーム２１が設けられている場合はその厚みに応じてナット位置が変わることはいうまでもない。
　背もたれ３は、樹脂製のフレーム（本明細書では背もたれのフレーム（バックレストフレーム）をバックフレームと呼ぶ）３１を備える（図１、図３参照）。バックフレーム３１の背面は露出するように表面仕上げ等されていてもよい（図１参照）。
　締結部材４は、クッションフレーム２１およびバックフレーム３１を締結する部材である。鉄製クッションフレーム２１および樹脂製バックフレーム３１を締結する部材として、ボルト４１およびナット４２からなら締結部材４を利用してもよい（図３参照）。この場合、締結部材４としてのボルト４１あるいはナット４２の一部が、剥き出しの状態でバックフレーム３１あるいはクッションフレーム２１の表面から突出していることがある（図３参照）。
　トリムカバー８は、バックフレーム３１の着座者側に取り付けられるカバーである（図１、図２参照）。特に詳しい図示はしていないが、該トリムカバー８には、その周囲にゴム紐などの弾性体ファスナーなどが設けられている場合もある。また、トリムカバー８にはカバー部材９が取り付けられて一体化されている（図２等参照）。
　カバー部材９は、締結部材４のうち少なくとも剥き出しとなっている部位（例えば、バックフレーム３１の側面から外側へ向け突出したボルト４１の頭部、など）を覆う部材（締結部カバー）である。本実施形態のカバー部材９は、トリムカバー８がバックフレーム３１に取り付けられた場合に、締結部材４の剥き出し部位に対応する位置に配置されている（図１等参照）。
　また、カバー部材９は、乗員の身体や履物などが当たったときに衝撃を適度に和らげ、皮膚や履物の引掛り感を抑え、かつ、乗員らが触れたときの違和感を抑える部材で成形されていることが好ましい。本実施形態のカバー部材９は、緩衝材として機能するエラストマー材料で成形されているが、この他、変形しやすい軟質樹脂製や成形不織布などを材質とすることができる。
　なお、図３に示す本実施形態のカバー部材９は、これらの材質によって成形された断面が中実の部材であるが、この他、中空としたり、空洞を設けたり、薄肉かつ湾曲した構造としたりしたカバー部材９を採用することもできる。
　本実施形態のカバー部材９には、締結部材４を覆う凹部９ａが形成されている（図２、図３参照）。凹部９ａの内壁の径（内径）を締結部材４の外径よりもある程度小さくして受け形状としておけば、該凹部９ａを締結部材４に圧接した状態で被せ、外れにくくすることができる。
　カバー部材９をトリムカバー８に一体化する手法は特に限定されず、カバー部材９の材質や形状などに応じた種々の手法を採用することができる。例えば本実施形態では、エラストマーで成形されたカバー部材９を、トリムカバー８の所定の位置に縫合部１０にて縫合することによって一体化している（図３参照）。このようにカバー部材９を一体化した場合、該カバー部材９によってトリムカバー８のトリムエンド処理をすることができ、シート１の外観品質をさらに向上させうる。カバー部材９が着色されていてもよい。
　また、カバー部材９に、当該シート１が内蔵するエアバッグ装置に関する表記がされていてもよい。シート１のエアバッグ装置が設けられている場合、その旨の表記が求められることがあるところ、カバー部材９にあらかじめ表記９ｂを設けておけばその他の箇所に表記する必要がなくなる（図４参照）。
　上述のようにカバー部材９が一体化された本実施形態のトリムカバー８によれば、バックフレーム３１に該トリムカバー８を取り付けることで、カバー部材９が締結部材４の近傍に位置決めされ、あとは凹部９ａに締結部材４の剥き出し部位が収まるように側方からカバー部材９を押し込めば、締結部材４の剥き出しになっている部位を覆った状態とすることができる。このように、本実施形態によればカバー部材を取り付ける作業が簡便である。また、締結部材４の剥き出しになっている部位を覆うための構成が、大型の樹脂製カバーなどに比べて簡素である。
　なお、上述の実施形態は本発明の好適な実施の一例ではあるがこれに限定されるものではなく本発明の要旨を逸脱しない範囲において種々変形実施可能である。例えば、本発明に係るシート１は各種車両などの乗り物用のシート（自動車用シートのほか、航空機用シート、旅客船用シートなど）に適用することができる。
　また、上述した実施形態では、バックフレーム３１に取り付けられるトリムカバー８について説明したが、この他、締結部材４の配置・態様によっては、座２のクッションフレーム２１に取り付けられるトリムカバー８にカバー部材９を一体化することもできる。
　本発明は、座を構成するクッションフレームと、背もたれを構成するバックフレームと、クッションフレームおよびバックフレームを締結する締結部材と、を備える車両用のシートに用いられるトリムカバーに適用して好適である。

Claims (7)

  1. 　座を構成するクッションフレームと、背もたれを構成するバックフレームと、前記クッションフレームおよび前記バックフレームを締結する締結部材と、を備える車両用のシートに用いられるトリムカバーにおいて、
    　前記締結部材のうち少なくとも剥き出しとなっている部位を覆う、当該トリムカバーに一体化されたカバー部材を備えることを特徴とする、シート用のトリムカバー。
  2. 　前記カバー部材は、前記トリムカバーが前記バックフレームに取り付けられると、前記締結部材の前記剥き出し部位に対応する位置に配置されていることを特徴とする、請求項１に記載のシート用のトリムカバー。
  3. 　前記カバー部材は、エラストマー製または軟質樹脂製であることを特徴とする、請求項２に記載のシート用のトリムカバー。
  4. 　前記カバー部材に、前記締結部材を覆う凹部が形成されていることを特徴とする、請求項３に記載のシート用のトリムカバー。
  5. 　前記凹部は、その内壁が前記締結部材に圧接する大きさに形成されていることを特徴とする、請求項４に記載のシート用のトリムカバー。
  6. 　前記カバー部材は、前記トリムカバーに縫合されて一体化されていることを特徴とする、請求項５に記載のシート用のトリムカバー。
  7. 　前記カバー部材に、当該シートが内蔵するエアバッグ装置に関する表記がされていることを特徴とする、請求項６に記載のシート用のトリムカバー。
