Description
本発明は、乗用車、鉄道車両、産業機械などに用いられる摩擦材に関し、特に耐錆固着性が向上し、銅金属及び銅金属化合物を実質的に使用しないことにより環境に配慮した摩擦材に関する。
従来、ブレーキ等に使用される摩擦材は、繊維基材、摩擦調整材、充填材及び結合材を用い、それらを配合し、予備成形、熱成形、仕上げなどの工程からなる製造プロセスによって製造されている。ブレーキ等に使用される摩擦材としては、アラミド繊維などの有機繊維、ガラス繊維などの無機繊維、銅繊維などの金属繊維等の繊維基材、ゴムダスト、カシューダスト、金属粒子、セラミックス粒子や黒鉛等の有機/無機摩擦調整材、炭酸カルシウム、硫酸バリウム等の充填材、フェノール樹脂等の結合材が使用されている。
しかし、たとえばディスクパッドの場合、水分が介在することにより停車中に摩擦材と接触しているロータ側に部分的な錆が発生する恐れがある。ロータ上に発生した部分的な錆によりロータとディスクパッドが固着し、錆による固着の力で発進時の異音発生の原因の一つとなる。

錆が発生する原因は、ロータが酸性環境下に置かれることにあり、摩擦材材料の観点からは低pH原料が含まれることが考えられる。摩擦材からこのような腐食促進物質の影響を除く方法として、水酸化カルシウム等をpH調整の目的で配合されることがある。
例えば、特許文献1には、繊維基材、結合材、充填材を主成分とする摩擦材組成物を成形、硬化してなる摩擦材において、消石灰等のpH11.0以上のアルカリ性原料を添加し摩擦材全体のpHを制御し、JIS K 0127により測定した摩擦材からの硫酸イオンの溶出量が0.2mg/g以下であり、かつ摩擦材のpHが10.0以上13.0未満である摩擦材が記載されている。
例えば、特許文献1には、繊維基材、結合材、充填材を主成分とする摩擦材組成物を成形、硬化してなる摩擦材において、消石灰等のpH11.0以上のアルカリ性原料を添加し摩擦材全体のpHを制御し、JIS K 0127により測定した摩擦材からの硫酸イオンの溶出量が0.2mg/g以下であり、かつ摩擦材のpHが10.0以上13.0未満である摩擦材が記載されている。
また、特許文献2には、アルミ基金属複合材製摺動部材と組合わせて使用される摩擦材で、摩擦材の水素イオン濃度がpH6~10であり、電気抵抗値が300KΩ以上になる摩擦材を開示しているが、摩擦材のpHを上記のような範囲にするためには無機充填剤として、pHが12以上の無機充填剤、例えば水酸化カルシウムの配合量を1体積%以下とすることが好ましいとしている。
また、特許文献3には、小型ブレーキライニング(小型BL)用摩擦材において、充填材として少なくとも消石灰を7~30体積%、かつアルミニウム粒子を2.0~3.5体積%含有した摩擦材により、高温熱履歴後の多湿環境下放置後におけるME現象、グー音の発生が同時に防止されると記されている。
特許文献4には、フェノール樹脂と水酸化カルシウムと水とを含む摩擦材原料の混合時の急激な粘度上昇を抑えて摩擦材原料を攪拌する混合工程と、混合工程で得られた混合粉を所望の形状に成形する成形工程とを有する効率的な摩擦材の製造方法が記載されている。
一方、ノンアスベスト摩擦材の場合、耐フェード性を向上させるため、熱伝導率の大きな金属、特に銅の繊維または銅の粒子が添加されることがある。
フェード現象は、摩擦材が高温、高負荷時において、摩擦材に含まれる有機物が分解して発生する分解ガスによって引き起こされるが、熱伝導率の大きな銅を摩擦材に添加することで摩擦材自体の放熱性が向上して、分解ガスの発生を抑制することができる。
ただし近年は、河川や海洋汚染、人体への悪影響等の環境汚染に対する懸念から、銅のような重金属を含有しない摩擦材の開発が求められている。
フェード現象は、摩擦材が高温、高負荷時において、摩擦材に含まれる有機物が分解して発生する分解ガスによって引き起こされるが、熱伝導率の大きな銅を摩擦材に添加することで摩擦材自体の放熱性が向上して、分解ガスの発生を抑制することができる。
ただし近年は、河川や海洋汚染、人体への悪影響等の環境汚染に対する懸念から、銅のような重金属を含有しない摩擦材の開発が求められている。
銅を除くと銅繊維による補強効果が無くなる事で、摩擦材の強度の低下が懸念される。摩擦材の強度低下により、摩擦材がロータへ貼り付いてしまい、結果としてロータ面に錆が発生しやすくなる。しかしながら銅成分を含まない摩擦材において、摩擦材強度の確保と錆発生の抑制の両立が困難であった。
従って、本発明の課題は、摩擦材の貼り付きに起因する錆の発生を抑制し、銅繊維を補強材としないでも十分な摩擦材強度を有する実質的に銅成分を含まない摩擦材を提供することである。

本発明者等は、上記課題を解決するために鋭意検討を行った結果、結合材の含有量を10質量%以上とし、水酸化カルシウム及び亜鉛を配合し、摩擦材のpHを11.7以上に設定すれば、銅を実質的に含まなくても摩擦材強度を確保し摩擦材による錆の発生を抑制できることを見出し、本発明を完成するに至った。
すなわち、本発明の課題は下記(1)~(3)により達成された。
(1) 繊維基材、摩擦調整材及び結合材を含む摩擦材であって、銅の含有量が銅元素換算で0.5質量%以下であり、前記結合材の含有量が10質量%以上であり、水酸化カルシウム及び亜鉛を含み、摩擦材のpHが11.7以上である、摩擦材。
(2) 前記水酸化カルシウムの含有量が2~6質量%である、上記(1)に記載の摩擦材。
(3) 前記亜鉛の含有量が1~5質量%である、上記(1)又は上記(2)に記載の摩擦材。
(1) 繊維基材、摩擦調整材及び結合材を含む摩擦材であって、銅の含有量が銅元素換算で0.5質量%以下であり、前記結合材の含有量が10質量%以上であり、水酸化カルシウム及び亜鉛を含み、摩擦材のpHが11.7以上である、摩擦材。

本発明の摩擦材は、結合材の樹脂量を摩擦材全体の10質量%以上とすることで、銅を実質的に含まなくても摩擦材の強度を確保することができる。また、摩擦材に水酸化カルシウム及び亜鉛を添加し、加えてかつ、pHを11.7以上にすることで、防錆性能を飛躍的に向上させた摩擦材が得られた。その結果、本発明の摩擦材により銅繊維を含有しなくても錆固着力(貼り付き性)の低下及び異音低減が実現できる。
以下、本発明を実施するための形態を詳細に説明するが、下記実施形態は例示であり、本発明はこれらに限定されるものではない。
本明細書において“質量%”と“重量%”とは同義である。
本発明の摩擦材は、摩擦材中に実質的に銅成分を含まない。なお、実質的に銅成分を含まないとは、銅成分を耐摩耗性などの機能を発現させるための有効成分として含まないという意味であり、例えば、摩擦材中に不可避的にわずかに含まれる不純物等としての銅成分をも含まないことまでを意味するものではない。具体的には、摩擦材全量に対し0.5質量%以下の含有量であることを意味する。銅成分には、銅単独、銅と、亜鉛、ニッケル、マンガン、アルミニウム、スズ等の他金属との銅合金、銅酸化物、銅硫化物などの銅化合物も含む。
本明細書において“質量%”と“重量%”とは同義である。
本発明の摩擦材は、摩擦材中に実質的に銅成分を含まない。なお、実質的に銅成分を含まないとは、銅成分を耐摩耗性などの機能を発現させるための有効成分として含まないという意味であり、例えば、摩擦材中に不可避的にわずかに含まれる不純物等としての銅成分をも含まないことまでを意味するものではない。具体的には、摩擦材全量に対し0.5質量%以下の含有量であることを意味する。銅成分には、銅単独、銅と、亜鉛、ニッケル、マンガン、アルミニウム、スズ等の他金属との銅合金、銅酸化物、銅硫化物などの銅化合物も含む。
摩擦材の配合に際しては、本発明の主旨に沿う限り通常用いられる材料が使用される。補強用の繊維基材としては、有機繊維、無機繊維、金属繊維等が使用されるが、銅成分を含む銅繊維、青銅繊維、黄銅繊維は使用しない。
有機繊維としては、例えば芳香族ポリアミド(アラミド)繊維、耐炎性アクリル繊維、セルロース繊維等を用いることができ、これらを単独で又は2種以上を組み合わせて使用することができる。

無機繊維としては例えばチタン酸カリウム繊維やアルミナ繊維等のセラミック繊維、ガラス繊維、カーボン繊維、ロックウール等が挙げられ、また金属繊維としては例えばスチール繊維等が挙げられ、これらを単独又は2種以上組み合わせて使用することができる。
本発明で用いられる無機繊維としては生体溶解性無機繊維が人体への影響が少ない点から好ましい。ここでいう生体溶解性の無機繊維とは、人体内に取り込まれた場合でも短時間で分解され体外に排出される特徴を有する無機繊維である。具体的には、化学組成がアルカリ酸化物、アルカリ土類酸化物総量(ナトリウム、カリウム、カルシウム、マグネシウム、バリウムの酸化物の総量)が18質量%以上で、かつ呼吸による短期バイオ永続試験において20μm以上の繊維の質量半減期が40日以内である、腹膜内試験において過度の発癌性の証拠がない、又は長期呼吸試験において関連の病原性や腫瘍発生がないことを満たす無機繊維を示す(EU指令97/69/ECのNoteQ(発癌性適用除外))。
このような生体溶解性無機繊維としては、SiO2-CaO-MgO系繊維やSiO2-CaO-MgO-Al2O3系繊維、SiO2-MgO-SrO系繊維等の生体溶解性セラミック繊維や生体溶解性ロックウール等が挙げられる。
本発明で用いられる無機繊維としては生体溶解性無機繊維が人体への影響が少ない点から好ましい。ここでいう生体溶解性の無機繊維とは、人体内に取り込まれた場合でも短時間で分解され体外に排出される特徴を有する無機繊維である。具体的には、化学組成がアルカリ酸化物、アルカリ土類酸化物総量(ナトリウム、カリウム、カルシウム、マグネシウム、バリウムの酸化物の総量)が18質量%以上で、かつ呼吸による短期バイオ永続試験において20μm以上の繊維の質量半減期が40日以内である、腹膜内試験において過度の発癌性の証拠がない、又は長期呼吸試験において関連の病原性や腫瘍発生がないことを満たす無機繊維を示す(EU指令97/69/ECのNoteQ(発癌性適用除外))。
このような生体溶解性無機繊維としては、SiO2-CaO-MgO系繊維やSiO2-CaO-MgO-Al2O3系繊維、SiO2-MgO-SrO系繊維等の生体溶解性セラミック繊維や生体溶解性ロックウール等が挙げられる。
繊維基材の含有量は、十分な機械強度を確保するため、摩擦材全量に対し5~50質量%とすることが好ましく、5~30質量%とすることがより好ましい。
本発明で使用される結合材は、摩擦材に含まれる摩擦調整材及び繊維基材などを一体化し、強度を与えるものである。本発明の摩擦材に含まれる結合材としては特に制限はなく、通常、摩擦材の結合材として用いられる熱硬化性樹脂を用いることができる。
上記熱硬化性樹脂としては、例えば、ストレートフェノール樹脂、アクリルゴム変性フェノール樹脂、シリコーンゴム変性フェノール樹脂、NBRゴム変性フェノール樹脂等のエラストマー等による各種変性フェノール樹脂、カシュー変性フェノール樹脂、エポキシ変性フェノール樹脂及びアルキルベンゼン変性フェノール樹脂等の各種変性フェノール樹脂、メラミン樹脂、エポキシ樹脂、ポリイミド樹脂などが挙げられ、これらを単独で又は2種以上を組み合わせて使用することができる。
上記熱硬化性樹脂としては、例えば、ストレートフェノール樹脂、アクリルゴム変性フェノール樹脂、シリコーンゴム変性フェノール樹脂、NBRゴム変性フェノール樹脂等のエラストマー等による各種変性フェノール樹脂、カシュー変性フェノール樹脂、エポキシ変性フェノール樹脂及びアルキルベンゼン変性フェノール樹脂等の各種変性フェノール樹脂、メラミン樹脂、エポキシ樹脂、ポリイミド樹脂などが挙げられ、これらを単独で又は2種以上を組み合わせて使用することができる。
結合材の含有量は、十分な機械的強度、耐摩耗性を確保するため、摩擦材全量に対し、10質量%以上とすることが好ましい。また上限値は15質量%以下とすることがより好ましい。
本発明の摩擦材では、摩擦調整材として防錆作用を期待できる亜鉛を配合する。
亜鉛は粉状でも繊維状でもよい。粉状の場合、平均粒径は、耐摩耗性の観点から、1~10μmの粉末であることが好ましく、1~7μmであることがより好ましい。

亜鉛の含有量は1~5質量%であることが好ましく、2~4質量%がより好ましい。亜鉛の配合量が1質量%以上であれば防錆作用の点で好ましく、また5質量%以下であれば効力確保の点で好ましい。
本発明の摩擦材はpHが11.7以上であり、好ましくは11.8以上であり、特に好ましくは12以上である。摩擦材のpHがかかる範囲であれば摩擦材の防錆性能をさらに向上でき、異音の発生を抑制した摩擦材とすることができる。
摩擦材のpHは、粉末化した摩擦材と水を混合し、所定時間放置した後、ろ過し、ろ液のpHを測定することで同定することができる。

本発明では、上記のように摩擦材全体のpHを11.7以上にするため、pH調整材として水酸化カルシウムを添加することが望ましい。
また、その配合量は設定したpHに基づき当業者の裁量で決定することができる。例えば水酸化カルシウムを用いる場合は、摩擦材全量に対して1~10質量%が好ましく、2~6質量%がより好ましい。
水酸化カルシウムを使用する場合、平均粒径が5~100μmの粉末を使用することが好ましく、5~50μmがより好ましく、摩擦材のpHを持続的に維持することができる。この範囲内であれば、摩擦材全体のpHを制御することが出来、相手材(ロータ)の部分的な錆の発生を防ぐことが出来る。なお、各平均粒径は、レーザー回折式粒度分布計により測定される値(メジアン径)である。
また、その配合量は設定したpHに基づき当業者の裁量で決定することができる。例えば水酸化カルシウムを用いる場合は、摩擦材全量に対して1~10質量%が好ましく、2~6質量%がより好ましい。

本発明の摩擦材に含まれる摩擦調整材として、上記の他に、以下の無機充填材、有機充填材、研削材、固体潤滑材などを適宜混合することができる。
研削材としては、アルミナ、シリカ、マグネシア、ジルコニア、珪酸ジルコニウム、酸化クロム、四三酸化鉄(Fe3O4)、クロマイト等が挙げられる。固体潤滑材としては、黒鉛(グラファイト)、コークス、三硫化アンチモン、二硫化モリブデン、硫化スズ、ポリテトラフルオロエチレン(PTFE)等が挙げられる。無機充填材としては炭酸マグネシウム、硫酸バリウム、炭酸カルシウム等の無機化合物や、チタン酸カリウム、チタン酸リチウム、チタン酸リチウムカリウム、チタン酸ナトリウム、チタン酸カルシウム、チタン酸マグネシウム、チタン酸マグネシウムカリウム等の非ウィスカー状チタン酸化合物、マイカやバーミキュライト等の燐片状無機物、アルミニウム、スズ、亜鉛等の金属粉末等を挙げることができる。これらは2種以上を組み合わせて使用することができる。
研削材の含有量は、要求される摩擦特性に応じて、摩擦材全量に対し1~20質量%とすることが好ましく、固体潤滑材の含有量は摩擦材全量に対し1~15質量%とすることが好ましく、無機充填材の含有量は摩擦材全量に対し40~60質量%とすることが好ましい。
研削材の含有量は、要求される摩擦特性に応じて、摩擦材全量に対し1~20質量%とすることが好ましく、固体潤滑材の含有量は摩擦材全量に対し1~15質量%とすることが好ましく、無機充填材の含有量は摩擦材全量に対し40~60質量%とすることが好ましい。
有機充填材としては、カシューダストやゴム成分などを用いることができる。上記ゴム成分としては、例えば、タイヤゴム、天然ゴム、アクリルゴム、イソプレンゴム、ポリブタジエンゴム、ニトリルブタジエンゴム、スチレンブタジエンゴム等が挙げられ、これらを単独で又は2種類以上を組み合わせて使用することができる。また、カシューダストとゴム成分とを併用してもよい。
有機充填材は、摩擦材全体中、好ましくは1~15質量%、より好ましくは、1~10質量%用いられる。

本発明に係る摩擦材の製造方法の具体的な態様としては、周知の製造工程により行うことができ、例えば、上記各成分を配合し、その配合物を通常の製法に従って予備成形、熱成形、加熱、研摩等の工程を経て摩擦材を作製することができる。
摩擦材を備えたブレーキパッドの製造における一般的な工程を以下に示す。
(a)板金プレスによりプレッシャプレートを所定の形状に成形する工程、
(b)上記プレッシャプレートに脱脂処理、化成処理及びプライマー処理を施す工程、
(c)繊維基材、摩擦調整材、及び結合材等の原料を配合し、撹拌により十分に均質化して、常温にて所定の圧力で成形して予備成形体を作製する工程、
(d)上記予備成形体と接着剤が塗布されたプレッシャプレートとを、所定の温度及び圧力を加えて両部材を一体に固着する熱成形工程(成形温度130~180℃、成形圧力30~80MPa、成形時間2~10分間)、
(e)アフタキュア(150~300℃、1~5時間)を行って、最終的に研摩、表面焼き、及び塗装等の仕上げ処理を施す工程。
摩擦材を備えたブレーキパッドの製造における一般的な工程を以下に示す。
(a)板金プレスによりプレッシャプレートを所定の形状に成形する工程、
(b)上記プレッシャプレートに脱脂処理、化成処理及びプライマー処理を施す工程、
(c)繊維基材、摩擦調整材、及び結合材等の原料を配合し、撹拌により十分に均質化して、常温にて所定の圧力で成形して予備成形体を作製する工程、
(d)上記予備成形体と接着剤が塗布されたプレッシャプレートとを、所定の温度及び圧力を加えて両部材を一体に固着する熱成形工程(成形温度130~180℃、成形圧力30~80MPa、成形時間2~10分間)、
(e)アフタキュア(150~300℃、1~5時間)を行って、最終的に研摩、表面焼き、及び塗装等の仕上げ処理を施す工程。
以下、本発明を実施例により更に具体的に説明するが、本発明の範囲はこれらの実施例のみに限定されるものではない。
(実施例1~4、比較例1~5)
<摩擦材の作製>
摩擦材の作製工程は下記の通りである。
1.原料の混合
配合原材料は、混合攪拌機に一括して投入し常温で5分間混合攪拌を行った。なお、具体的な原材料は下記に示した原料を使用した。具体的な配合比は、各々表に示す。
(実施例1~4、比較例1~5)
<摩擦材の作製>
摩擦材の作製工程は下記の通りである。
1.原料の混合
配合原材料は、混合攪拌機に一括して投入し常温で5分間混合攪拌を行った。なお、具体的な原材料は下記に示した原料を使用した。具体的な配合比は、各々表に示す。
フェノール樹脂:住友ベークライト(株)製
水酸化カルシウム:秩父石灰工業(株)製
亜鉛:堺化学工業(株)製
水酸化カルシウム:秩父石灰工業(株)製
亜鉛:堺化学工業(株)製
2.作製工程
上記配合材料からなる混合物を各々予備成形、熱成形、加熱、研摩等の工程を経て摩擦材を作製した。
(1)予備成形
上記原料の混合物を予備成形プレスの金型に投入し、常温、15MPaで10秒間の成形を行い予備成形体を作製した。
(2)熱成形
この予備成形体を熱成形型に投入し、予め接着剤を塗布した金属板(プレッシャプレート:P/P)を重ね150℃、45MPaで5分間加熱加圧成形を行った。
(3)熱処理
この加熱加圧成形体に250℃、3時間の熱処理を実施後、所定の厚み15mmに研摩、塗装し摩擦材を得た。(パッド面積:20cm2)
上記配合材料からなる混合物を各々予備成形、熱成形、加熱、研摩等の工程を経て摩擦材を作製した。
(1)予備成形
上記原料の混合物を予備成形プレスの金型に投入し、常温、15MPaで10秒間の成形を行い予備成形体を作製した。
(2)熱成形
この予備成形体を熱成形型に投入し、予め接着剤を塗布した金属板(プレッシャプレート:P/P)を重ね150℃、45MPaで5分間加熱加圧成形を行った。
(3)熱処理
この加熱加圧成形体に250℃、3時間の熱処理を実施後、所定の厚み15mmに研摩、塗装し摩擦材を得た。(パッド面積:20cm2)
上記の摩擦材を使用して以下の評価を実施した。
1.pH試験
(1)摩擦材をドリルで粉末にし、試料とする。
(2)ビーカーに試料6gと蒸留水200mlを加え、かき混ぜて、16時間放置する。(3)試料をよくかき混ぜながら、ろ過し、ろ液のpHをpHメーターで測定する。

2.錆固着性(貼り付き性)
以下に示した操作により実車で評価(Rrビルトインにて評価実施)した。なお、相手材(ロータ)は鋳鉄材(FC250)を使用した。
(1)摺り合わせ:速度40km/h、減速度1.96m/s2、パッドIBT50℃以下、制動回数30回
(2)水掛け:15L/min 3分間
(3)クリープにて3回制動
(4)パーキングブレーキを11ノッチにかけて屋外放置
(5)貼り付きを確認
(6)No.(2)~(5)の操作を繰り返す。
試験1日目~3日目、3晩放置後の実車の音圧について測定した。
また、3晩放置後のロータ表面の発錆率(%)を算出した。
発錆率(%)=(パッド接触部のロータ発錆面積)/(パッド面積)×100
発錆率の評価は、○、△、×で行い、判断基準は下記のごとく、発錆率(%)で判断した。
○; 発錆率(%)50%未満
△; 発錆率(%)50%以上80%未満
×; 発錆率(%)80%以上
以下に示した操作により実車で評価(Rrビルトインにて評価実施)した。なお、相手材(ロータ)は鋳鉄材(FC250)を使用した。

また、3晩放置後のロータ表面の発錆率(%)を算出した。

発錆率の評価は、○、△、×で行い、判断基準は下記のごとく、発錆率(%)で判断した。
○; 発錆率(%)50%未満
△; 発錆率(%)50%以上80%未満
×; 発錆率(%)80%以上
<評価結果>
摩擦材の評価結果を表1に示す。
銅を配合した従来の摩擦材である比較例1に対し、実施例1~4の摩擦材は、銅を配合せずとも、貼り付き評価において発錆率が同程度又はそれ以上の性能を示し、それに伴いクリープ発進時に発生する音圧も低くなることが分かった。また特に、pHが12を超える実施例2~4の摩擦材は、発錆率が15%以下と著しく低下し、本発明の配合材の組み合わせによる相乗効果がいかに顕著であるかを示している。
また、比較例5と実施例1の比較から、結合材の含有量が1質量%増加すると摩擦材の強度が向上することによりロータの発錆率が低下するので、結合材の含有量も重要な要件になることが分かった。
摩擦材の評価結果を表1に示す。
銅を配合した従来の摩擦材である比較例1に対し、実施例1~4の摩擦材は、銅を配合せずとも、貼り付き評価において発錆率が同程度又はそれ以上の性能を示し、それに伴いクリープ発進時に発生する音圧も低くなることが分かった。また特に、pHが12を超える実施例2~4の摩擦材は、発錆率が15%以下と著しく低下し、本発明の配合材の組み合わせによる相乗効果がいかに顕著であるかを示している。
また、比較例5と実施例1の比較から、結合材の含有量が1質量%増加すると摩擦材の強度が向上することによりロータの発錆率が低下するので、結合材の含有量も重要な要件になることが分かった。
本発明を詳細にまた特定の実施態様を参照して説明したが、本発明の精神と範囲を逸脱することなく様々な変更や修正を加えることができることは当業者にとって明らかである。本出願は2013年11月12日出願の日本特許出願(特願2013-234268)に基づくものであり、その内容はここに参照として取り込まれる。
本発明の摩擦材は、結合材の含有量を10質量%以上とし、水酸化カルシウム及び亜鉛を配合し摩擦材のpHを11.7以上に保つことにより、銅繊維を配合しないことにより発生しやすくなる摩擦材の貼り付きに起因する錆の発生を低減できるため、異音の発生を抑制し、銅繊維を配合したときと同等の摩擦特性を確保できるので、特に乗用車など幅広い車種に適合した実質的に銅成分を含まない摩擦材としての需要が期待される。
Claims (3)
- 繊維基材、摩擦調整材及び結合材を含む摩擦材であって、銅の含有量が銅元素換算で0.5質量%以下であり、前記結合材の含有量が10質量%以上であり、水酸化カルシウム及び亜鉛を含み、摩擦材のpHが11.7以上である、摩擦材。
- 前記水酸化カルシウムの含有量が2~6質量%である、請求項1に記載の摩擦材。
- 前記亜鉛の含有量が1~5質量%である、請求項1又は2に記載の摩擦材。
