CONSTITUTION:Iron fiber as a base material in a nonasbestos friction material is fibrillated and sieved in advance, dip-coated with a phenol resin, has zinc powder adhered thereto in an amount of 1-15wt%, based on the iron fiber, and thereafter is air-dried or cured, the thus-treated iron fiber, a thermosetting binder, a filler, and an additive or the like are used to obtain the titled nonasbestos friction material.
