Abstract
Description
本願は、2013年8月2日に、日本に出願された特願2013-161454号に基づき優先権を主張し、その内容をここに援用する。
植毛部の上面が、植毛部の外周から中心に向かって低くなるように臼状に窪ませた歯ブラシ(特許文献1)。
前記ヘッド部の植毛面に、前記複数の用毛を束ねた毛束が複数植設されており、
前記植毛面の中央領域に、任意の毛丈に揃えられて植設された第1の毛束群と、
前記第1の毛束群よりも毛丈が高く揃えられ、前記第1の毛束群を挟んで前記ヘッド部の先端側と後端側とに設けられ、互いに離間した一対の第2の毛束群と、
前記第2の毛束群よりも毛丈が高く揃えられ、前記一対の第2の毛束群を挟んで前記ヘッド部の先端側と後端側とに設けられ、互いに離間した一対の第3の毛束群と、を有し、
前記一対の第2の毛束群及び前記一対の第3の毛束群は、前記植毛面の中央方向を開放して前記第1の毛束群を長さ方向で囲うように配置されている、歯ブラシ。

以下、本発明の第一の実施形態の歯ブラシについて、図1及び図2に基づいて説明する。
本実施形態の歯ブラシ1は、長尺状のハンドル部10と、ハンドル部10の先端に設けられたヘッド部12とからなるハンドル体14を備えている。また、歯ブラシ1は、ヘッド部12の植毛面12aに、第1の毛束群16、第2の毛束群18及び第3の毛束群20を備えている。
ハンドル体14は、ハンドル部10とヘッド部12とが一体成形されたものである。
ハンドル体14のハンドル部10とヘッド部12の形状及び大きさは特に限定されず、歯ブラシにおいて採用される通常の形状及び大きさを適宜採用できる。
このような高硬度樹脂としては、例えば、ポリプロピレン(PP)、ポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)、ポリブチレンテレフタレート(PBT)、ポリシクロへキシレンジメチレンテレフタレート(PCT)、ポリアセタール(POM)、ポリスチレン(PS)、アクリロニトリル・ブタジエン・スチレン樹脂(ABS)、セルロースプロピオネート(CP)、ポリアリレート、ポリカーボネート、及びアクリロニトリル・スチレン共重合樹脂(AS)等が挙げられる。これらの樹脂は1種を単独で使用してもよく、2種以上を併用してもよい。
第1の毛束群16は、本発明に係る歯ブラシの使用時に、主に歯面に接し、歯面に付着した歯垢を除去する役割を果たす。
第1の毛束群16は、ヘッド部12の植毛面12aの中央領域に、任意の毛丈に揃えられた複数の第1の毛束16aが植設されることで形成されている。すなわち、ヘッド部12の植毛面12aの中央領域に複数の第1の毛束16aが植設されることで第1の毛束群16が形成されており、かつ複数の第1の毛束16aは互いに毛丈が揃えられている。
ここで「中央領域」とは、各毛束群(16、18及び20)をまとめて囲った植毛部を構成する毛束群の外周を囲った領域(すなわち、各毛束群(16、18及び20)を構成する毛束(16a、18a及び20a)のうち、最も外側に配置された毛束16a、18a及び20aの外側に接線を引いた場合に、接線で形成される領域)の中央に位置する領域であり、前記接線で形成される領域におけるヘッド部の長さ方向の中心線と幅方向の中心線とが交差する点を中心とする領域である。前記接線で形成される領域の、ヘッド部の長さ方向で最長の領域の長さに対する、中央領域のヘッド部の長さ方向で最長の領域の長さが占める割合は、30~50%が好ましい。
また、第1の毛束群16の平面視での形状は、ひし形には限定されず、正方形、六角形、円形、又は楕円形等であってもよい。
第1の毛束16aを形成する用毛としては、特に限定されず、例えば、毛先に向かって漸次縮径して先端が先鋭化された用毛(テーパー毛)、毛先に向かって漸次縮径し、テーパー毛よりも先端径が太い用毛(セミテーパー毛)、及び毛先の丸め部を除いて外径がほぼ同一である用毛(ストレート毛)が挙げられる。セミテーパー毛は、例えば、テーパー毛の先端を部分的に削り取ることや、化学処理時の処理条件(時間)を調整することで得られる。
第1の毛束16aは、テーパー毛のみで形成されていてもよく、セミテーパー毛のみで形成されていてもよく、ストレート毛のみで形成されていてもよく、テーパー毛、ストレート毛、セミテーパー毛のうち2種以上を組み合わせて形成されていてもよい。第1の毛束16aは、歯面に付着している歯垢の除去効果が高くなる点から、ストレート毛又はセミテーパー毛で形成されていることが好ましい。
第1の毛束16aを形成する用毛の数は、用毛径と用毛の太さを勘案して適宜設定すれば良い。例えば、第1の実施形態であれば、20~28本が好ましく、22~28本がより好ましい。
第1の毛束16aでは、使用感や、刷掃感、清掃効果、又は耐久性等を考慮して、太さの異なる複数本の用毛を任意に組み合わせて用いてもよい。
第2の毛束群18は、ヘッド部12の植毛面12aにおいて、第1の毛束群16を挟んで、ヘッド部12の先端13側と後端側とに一対に設けられている。一対の第2の毛束群18は、互いに離間している。つまり、一対の第2の毛束群18を形成する第2の毛束18aは、第1の毛束群16の幅方向の両側を囲うようには配置されず、長さ方向の両側を囲うように配置されている。
このように、第1の毛束群16の幅方向の両側を囲うように第2の毛束18aが配置されないようになっていることで、一対の第2の毛束群18のうち、各々の第2の毛束18aの毛先が歯間や歯頸部等の隙間に入りやすくなる。その結果、第2の毛束群18によって、歯間や歯頸部等の隙間に存在する歯垢を効率良く掻き出して除去することが可能となる。
第2の毛束群18を形成する第2の毛束18aは、ヘッド部12の植毛面12aの中央領域に植設されていてもよい。
また、この例のV字状の第2の毛束群18の角度(V字形状の内角)は、第1の毛束群16のひし形における第2の毛束群18側の二辺のなす角度と異なっている。
なお、V字状の第2の毛束群18の角度は、第1の毛束群16のひし形における第2の毛束群18側の二辺のなす角度と同じでもよい。
第2の毛束群18の配列形状は、歯間や歯頸部等の隙間から歯垢を掻き出す効果が高い点から、V字状が好ましい。
第2の毛束群18を形成する第2の毛束18aの数は、10本には限定されず、9本以下でもよく、11本以上でもよい。第2の毛束群18を形成する第2の毛束18aの数は、第2の毛束18aの直径等を考慮して適宜設定すればよく、3~18本が好ましく、5~10本がより好ましい。
また、第2の毛束群18は、第2の毛束18aが長さ方向に一重(一列)に配置されて形成されていてもよく、三重以上(三列以上)に配置されて形成されていてもよい。
第2の毛束18aが複数列配置されている場合、先端側又は後端側の毛束18aの毛丈が、中央領域側の列の毛束18aの毛丈よりも長くなるように形成されていてもよい。
例えば、先端側の第2の毛束群18と後端側の第2の毛束群18とは、第2の毛束18aの本数が異なっていてもよく、第2の毛束18aの配列形状が異なっていてもよい。
一対の第2の毛束群18は、第2の毛束18aの本数、配列形状が同じで対称であることが好ましい。
第2の毛束18aを形成する用毛としては、特に限定されず、例えば、第1の毛束16aで挙げたものが挙げられる。
第2の毛束18aは、テーパー毛のみで形成されていてもよく、セミテーパー毛のみで形成されていてもよく、ストレート毛のみで形成されていてもよく、テーパー毛、ストレート毛、セミテーパー毛のうち2種以上を組み合わせて形成されていてもよい。第2の毛束18aは、歯間や歯頸部等の隙間に存在する歯垢の除去効果が高くなる点から、テーパー毛で形成されていることが好ましい。
第2の毛束18aでは、使用感や、刷掃感、清掃効果、又は耐久性等を考慮して、太さの異なる複数本の用毛を任意に組み合わせて用いてもよい。
第2の毛束18aを形成する用毛の数は、第2の毛束18aの直径を所望の値とするように適宜設定すればよい。例えば、10~15本が好ましく、11~14本がより好ましい。
第2の毛束18aと第1の毛束16aとの距離、すなわち、第2の毛束18aの中心軸から隣接した第1の毛束16aの中心軸までの距離は、1.5~4.0mmであることが好ましく、2.5~3.2mmであることがより好ましい。
第3の毛束群20は、ヘッド部12の植毛面12aにおいて、第1の毛束群16及びこれを挟んだ一対の第2の毛束群18を先端側と後端側とから挟んで、ヘッド部12の先端13側と後端側とに一対に設けられている。一対の第3の毛束群20は、互いに離間している。つまり、一対の第3の毛束群20を形成する第3の毛束20aは、第1の毛束群16の幅方向の両側及び第2の毛束群18の幅方向の両側を囲むようには配置されないようになっている。
このように、第1の毛束群16の幅方向の両側及び第2の毛束群18の幅方向の両側を囲うように第3の毛束20aが配置されないようになっていることで、第2の毛束群18と同様に各々の第3の毛束20aの毛先が歯間や歯頸部等の隙間に入りやすくなり、その結果、歯垢の除去効率が高まる。
第3の毛束群20を形成する第3の毛束20aは、ヘッド部12の植毛面12aの中央領域に植設されていてもよい。
第2の毛束群18と第3の毛束群20とが長さ方向に重なる領域の幅は、前記領域1つあたり0.0~3.5mmであることが好ましい。
具体的には、この例では、第3の毛束群20は、植毛面12aの中央方向を開放して第2の毛束群18の外側(先端側及び後端側)で第1の毛束群16を長さ方向で囲むように、V字状に配置されている。また、この例のV字状の第3の毛束群20の角度は、第2の毛束群18の角度と同じになっている。
なお、V字状の第3の毛束群20の角度は、第2の毛束群18の角度と異なっていてもよい。
第3の毛束群20の配列形状は、歯間や歯頸部等の隙間から歯垢を掻き出す効果が高い点から、V字状が好ましい。
第3の毛束群20を形成する第3の毛束20aの数は、5本には限定されず、4本以下でもよく、6本以上でもよい。第3の毛束群20を形成する第3の毛束20aの数は、第3の毛束20aの直径等を考慮して適宜設定すればよく、3~18本が好ましく、5~10本がより好ましい。
また、第3の毛束群20は、第3の毛束20aが長さ方向に二重以上(二列以上)に配置されて形成されていてもよい。
第3の毛束20aが複数列配置されている場合、先端側又は後端側の毛束20aの毛丈が、中央領域側の列の毛束20aの毛丈よりも長くなるように形成されていてもよい。
第3の毛束群20は、第2の毛束群18よりも列の数が少ない方が好ましい。
例えば、先端側の第3の毛束群20と後端側の第3の毛束群20とは、第3の毛束20aの本数が異なっていてもよく、第3の毛束20aの配列形状が異なっていてもよい。
一対の第3の毛束群20は、第3の毛束20aの本数、配列形状が同じで対称であることが好ましい。
第3の毛束20aを形成する用毛としては、特に限定されず、例えば、第3の毛束20aで挙げたものが挙げられる。
第3の毛束20aは、テーパー毛のみで形成されていてもよく、セミテーパー毛のみで形成されていてもよく、ストレート毛のみで形成されていてもよく、テーパー毛、ストレート毛、及びセミテーパー毛のうち2種以上を組み合わせて形成されていてもよい。第3の毛束20aは、歯間や歯頸部等の隙間に存在する歯垢の除去効果が高くなる点から、テーパー毛で形成されていることが好ましい。
第3の毛束20aでは、使用感や、刷掃感、清掃効果、又は耐久性等を考慮して、太さの異なる複数本の用毛を任意に組み合わせて用いてもよい。
第3の毛束20aを形成する用毛の数は、用毛径と用毛の太さを勘案して適宜設定すればよい。例えば、第1の実施形態であれば、10~15本が好ましく11~14本がより好ましい。
第3の毛束20aと第2の毛束18aとの距離、すなわち、第3の毛束20aの中心軸から隣接した第2の毛束18aの中心軸までの距離は、1.2~4.0mmであることが好ましく、1.7~3.2mmであることがより好ましい。
第1の毛束群16の毛丈d1(図2)は、適宜設定でき、7~12mmが好ましく、8~11mmがより好ましい。第1の毛束群16の毛丈d1が下限値未満になると、毛が撓まなさ過ぎる為、歯肉に当たった時に痛みを感じることがある。また、磨き心地が悪くなることがある。第1の毛束群16の毛丈d1が上限値を超えると、口腔内操作性が悪くなることがある。
第1の毛束群16の毛丈d1に対する第2の毛束群18の毛丈d2の差(d2-d1)は、0.5~3.0mmが好ましく、0.5~2.0mmがより好ましい。差(d2-d1)が下限値未満になると、第2の毛束が歯間や歯頸部に進入しにくくなる。前記差(d2-d1)が上限値を超えると、第1の毛束が歯面に当たらなかったり、第2の毛束が歯肉に当たって痛みを感じることがある。
第2の毛束群18の毛丈d2に対する第3の毛束群20の毛丈d3の差(d3-d2)は、0.5~3.0mmが好ましく、0.5~2.0mmがより好ましい。前記差(d3-d2)が下限値未満になると、第3の毛束が歯間や歯頸部に進入しにくくなる。前記差(d3-d2)が上限値を超えると、第1の毛束が歯面に当たらなかったり、第3の毛束が歯肉に当たって痛みを感じることがある。
ここで「毛丈」とは、各毛束群における毛束の長さの平均値を意味する。
第3の毛束20aの直径の好ましい範囲は、第2の毛束18aの直径の好ましい範囲と同様である。第3の毛束20aの直径は、第2の毛束18aの直径よりも小さくてもよい。
各毛束群(16、18、及び20)をまとめて囲った植毛部を構成する毛束群の外周を囲った領域の面積に対する、第2の毛束群18が占める面積は、10~50面積%が好ましく、30~45面積%がより好ましい。
各毛束群(16、18、及び20)をまとめて囲った植毛部を構成する毛束群の外周を囲った領域の面積に対する、第3の毛束群20が占める面積は、10~50面積%が好ましく、12~30面積%がより好ましい。
歯ブラシ1の製造方法は、それぞれ所定の寸法の第1の毛束16a、第2の毛束18a及び第3の毛束20aを、所定の位置に植設して第1の毛束群16、第2の毛束群18及び第3の毛束群20を形成する以外は、公知の方法を採用できる。
例えば、毛束の植設方法としては、平線を打ち込む方法、又は熱溶着する方法等、公知の方法を採用できる。
毛束を植設する際の穴の直径は、植設する毛束の直径に応じて適宜設定すればよい。
また、第2の毛束群18と第3の毛束群20が、中央方向を開放して第1の毛束群16を長さ方向で囲うように配置されていることで、歯間や歯頸部等の隙間から歯垢を掻き出す際に第2の毛束群18と第3の毛束群20から歯垢を逃し難くなっているため、高い歯垢除去効果が得られる。
なお、本発明の歯ブラシは、前記した歯ブラシ1には限定されない。
例えば、本発明の歯ブラシは、図3及び図4に例示した歯ブラシ2であってもよい。図3及び図4における図1及び図2と同じ部分には同符号を付して説明を省略する。
歯ブラシ2は、14本の第1の毛束16bが平面視で六角形状となるように千鳥状に配置されて第1の毛束群16Aが形成され、かつ第1の毛束16bの直径が第2の毛束18a及び第3の毛束20aの直径と同じである以外は、歯ブラシ1と同じである。「六角形」は、6つの辺の長さが同一であってもよく、異なっていてもよい。
歯ブラシ2においても歯ブラシ1と同様に、ブラッシングの際に毛先が全体的に歯にフィットして使用感に優れ、歯面や、歯間、又は歯頸部等の隙間の歯垢を効率良く除去できる。
また、第1の毛束16bの直径は、歯ブラシ1と同様であってもよい。
また、第1の毛束16bが平面視で円形であってもよい。この場合、第2の毛束群18は第1の毛束群16を長さ方向で囲うように、円弧状であってもよいし、V字状であってもよい。第3の毛束群20も同様に、円弧状であってもよいし、V字状であってもよい。
また、第1の毛束16bが平面視で楕円形であり、かつ楕円形の短径がヘッド部の幅方向になるように配列されていてもよく、長さ方向になるように配列されていてもよい。この場合、第2の毛束群18は第1の毛束群16を長さ方向で囲うように、円弧状であってもよいし、V字状であってもよい。第3の毛束群20も同様に、円弧状であってもよいし、V字状であってもよい。
[使用感の評価]
10人のモニターが各例の歯ブラシで口腔内を清掃し、その際の歯頸部、歯面及び歯間の清掃実感、並びに歯ブラシの当たり心地(フィット感)を下記の評価基準で評価した。
5点:非常に感じる。
4点:やや感じる。
3点:感じる。
2点:あまり感じない。
1点:感じない。
モニター10人の平均点が4.0以上を◎、平均点3.0以上4.0未満を○、平均点2.0以上3.0未満を△、平均点2.0未満を×とした。
5点:非常に感じる。
4点:やや感じる。
3点:感じる。
2点:あまり感じない。
1点:感じない。
モニター10人の平均点が4.0以上を◎、平均点3.0以上4.0未満を○、平均点2.0以上3.0未満を△、平均点2.0未満を×とした。
◎:全て◎。
○:○が一番低い評価。
△:△が一番低い評価。
×:×が1つでもある場合。
本実施例に用いた用毛は以下のとおりである。
テーパー毛(ST):PBT製。
セミテーパー毛(SST):PBT製。
表1に示す仕様に従い、PP製のハンドル体に毛束を植設して、図1及び図2の歯ブラシ1を得た。

表1に示す仕様に従い、PP製のハンドル体に毛束を植設して、図5の歯ブラシ101を得た。
歯ブラシ101は、第1の毛束群116と、第1の毛束群116を挟んでヘッド部12の先端側と後端側に一対に設けられた第2の毛束群118と、第2の毛束群118を挟んでヘッド部12の先端側と後端側に一対に設けられた第3の毛束群120と、を有する。
第1の毛束群116は、第1の毛束116aが幅方向に5本、長さ方向に3本の5列×3行に植設されて形成されている。第2の毛束群118は、第2の毛束118aが幅方向に5本、長さ方向に2本の5列×2行に植設されて形成されている。第3の毛束群120は、第3の毛束120aが幅方向に4本、長さ方向に1本の4列×1行に植設されて形成されている。
一方、第2の毛束群及び第3の毛束群を、植毛面の中央方向を開放する配列とせず、幅方向に直線的に配置した比較例1では、フィット感が劣っており、また清掃実感も低く歯垢除去効果が劣っていた。

Claims (6)
- ヘッド部と、ハンドル部と、複数の用毛とを有する歯ブラシであって、
前記ヘッド部の植毛面に、前記複数の用毛を束ねた毛束が複数植設されており、
前記植毛面の中央領域に、任意の毛丈に揃えられて植設された第1の毛束群と、
前記第1の毛束群よりも毛丈が高く揃えられ、前記第1の毛束群を挟んで前記ヘッド部の先端側と後端側とに設けられ、互いに離間した一対の第2の毛束群と、
前記第2の毛束群よりも毛丈が高く揃えられ、前記一対の第2の毛束群を挟んで前記ヘッド部の先端側と後端側とに設けられ、互いに離間した一対の第3の毛束群と、を有し、
前記一対の第2の毛束群及び前記一対の第3の毛束群は、前記植毛面の中央方向を開放して前記第1の毛束群を長さ方向で囲うように配置されている、歯ブラシ。 - 前記第2の毛束群の毛束の直径及び前記第3の毛束群の毛束の直径が、前記第1の毛束群の毛束の直径よりも小さい、請求項1に記載の歯ブラシ。
- 前記第1の毛束群が平面視でひし形となるように配置され、
前記ひし形の2つの対角線が前記ヘッド部の長さ方向及び幅方向とそれぞれ平行になるように配列されている、請求項1及び請求項2のいずれか1項に記載の歯ブラシ。 - 前記第1の毛束群が平面視で六角形となるように配置され、
前記六角形の1つの対角線が前記ヘッド部の長さ方向と平行になるように配列されている、請求項1及び請求項2のいずれか1項に記載の歯ブラシ。 - 前記第2の毛束群が、前記第1の毛束群を長さ方向で囲うように、平面視でV字状又は円弧状に配置されている、請求項1及び請求項2のいずれか1項に記載の歯ブラシ。
- 前記第3の毛束群が、前記第1の毛束群及び前記第2の毛束群を長さ方向で囲うように、平面視でV字状又は円弧状に配置されている、請求項1及び請求項2のいずれか1項に記載の歯ブラシ。
