- the diameter changing portion 184 can be reduced to an arbitrary diameter by adjusting the opening angle ⁇ of each slit 196.
- the deforming portion 184 has a plurality of extending portions 192, as a whole, the proximal end side (distal to the tube body 152) rather than the distal end side (proximal to the tube body 152) with respect to the longitudinal axis C. It can be greatly displaced so as to approach and separate.
- Each extending portion 192 is also preferably formed so as to have a biasing force so as to be closer to the central axis of the annular portion 182, that is, the longitudinal axis C toward the proximal end side, depending on the characteristics of the material. .
- the plurality of extending portions 192 are formed so as to be smaller in diameter than the proximal direction toward the longitudinal axis C at the distal end with respect to the tube body 152.
- both the inner layer 172 and the outer layer 174, in particular, the proximal side (distal to the tube body 152) are urged so as to be close to the longitudinal axis (center axis) C.
- the urging force may not be applied to the extending portion 192 of the inner layer 172, and the proximal end side of the extending portion 192 may be closer to the longitudinal axis (center axis C) due to the stretchability of the outer layer 174.

Of course, the endoscope 10 equipped with the spiral unit 60 can also be made disposable.
- the minimum inner diameter of the tube body 152 is the same as or larger than the maximum outer diameter of the distal end rigid portion 42, the curved portion 44, the first serpentine tube portion 46, and the first relay connection portion 50 of the insertion portion 12. Is formed.

- the minimum inner diameters of the distal end side tapered portion 156 and the proximal end side tapered portion 158 are set to the distal end rigid portion.
- the maximum outer diameter of the portion 42, the curved portion 44, the first serpentine tube portion 46, and the first relay connection portion 50 needs to be the same or larger.

- the diameter-reducing restricting body 210 is detachably disposed with respect to the tapered portion 158 of the spiral unit 60, and increases the inner diameter of the tapered portion 158 so as to allow the insertion portion 12 to be inserted into the tapered portion 158. In this state, the taper portion 158 is restrained from reducing its inner diameter while maintaining the above state. The diameter-reducing restricting body 210 is removed as the insertion portion 12 is inserted into the taper portion 158, so that the taper portion 158 is more distal to the tube body 152 than the proximal portion to the tube body 152. The diameter reducing force is exerted within a range in which the insertion portion 12 can slide in the direction around the longitudinal axis C with respect to the outer peripheral surface of the insertion portion 12.
- the insertion portion 12 is inserted into the tube body 152 and the proximal end side tapered portion 158 having an enlarged inner diameter, and the spiral unit 60 is disposed at a predetermined position outside the insertion portion 12. Holding the knob 214 extended to the side, the knob 214 is pulled toward the proximal direction C2. When the knob 214 is pulled in the proximal direction C2, the portion 222 that is easily destroyed is destroyed, or the reduced diameter restricting body (expanded holding body) 210 is removed from the proximal end of the spiral unit 60 and then destroyed. The easy part 222 can be destroyed.

Abstract
