Definitions
- the present invention relates to a disposable diaper that is attached to a wearer's inseam and absorbs and holds a liquid such as urine, and a method for manufacturing the disposable diaper. More specifically, the present invention relates to a disposable diaper molded into a pants shape by joining the left and right sides of a front body and a back body at a side seal portion, and a method for manufacturing the disposable diaper.
- a general pants-type disposable diaper includes an absorbent main body having a liquid absorption function, and a cover sheet for holding the absorbent main body in the crotch of the wearer.
- the cover sheet the left and right ends of the front body and the back body are joined in advance, whereby a disposable diaper is molded into a pants shape.
- the wearer can put on the pants-type disposable diaper by inserting both legs from the opening around the waist.
- the side seal part since both ends of the front body and the back body are joined with appropriate joint strength, the wearer can easily take off the pants-type disposable diaper by breaking the side seal part. Can do.
- Such a side seal portion is generally formed by heat-sealing the thermoplastic sheet members constituting the cover sheet of the diaper by heat sealing or ultrasonic sealing.
- heat sealing is a method of introducing a plurality of laminated thermoplastic sheets between a pair of rolls consisting of an embossing roll having a block engraved with a bonding pattern on one side and a flat anvil roll.
- a thermoplastic sheet is heated and pressed by a roll to melt and join the sheet.
- Ultrasonic sealing is a method of introducing ultrasonic vibrations while pressing the sheets by introducing a plurality of laminated thermoplastic sheets between a block engraved with a bonding pattern and an ultrasonic horn that transmits ultrasonic vibrations. This is a technique for joining by melting the sheet with frictional heat.
- Patent Document 1 technologies for forming a pair of side seal portions on the left and right side portions of a disposable diaper by heat sealing or ultrasonic sealing are disclosed in, for example, Patent Document 1 and Patent Document 2.
- the cover sheets constituting the front body and the back body of the disposable diaper are bound only at the joint extending in the up-down direction, and are not bound at portions other than the joint. That is, the front body cover sheet and the back body cover sheet are not bound to each other on the outer side in the left and right direction with respect to the joint portion. There was a problem that the sheet opened and fluttered and the appearance was not good.
- cover sheets of diapers are fixed with elastic elastic members for imparting elasticity.
- the elastic stretchable member is sandwiched between layers of a plurality of sheet members at the waist and abdomen portions of the front and back bodies, and is fixed with a hot melt adhesive or the like.
- a hot melt adhesive for example, there are a case where the hot melt adhesive is applied onto the surface of the sheet member constituting the cover sheet and a case where the hot melt adhesive is directly applied to the elastic elastic member.
- a hot melt adhesive may be applied to the cover sheet in order to bond the front body and the back body cover sheets together.
- thermoplastic sheets together by heat fusion.
- heat sealing or ultrasonic sealing are used.
- These heat seals and ultrasonic seals join thermoplastic sheets together by heat fusion.
- a hot melt adhesive is present in the joining portion of this thermoplastic sheet, heat is used to dissolve the hot melt adhesive, and the thermoplastic sheet to be joined can be sufficiently heated. It becomes impossible to bond, the bonding strength is not stable, the melted hot melt adhesive develops stickiness in the bonded part, and the embossed pattern of the bonded part is solidified and hardened, causing problems To do. For this reason, regarding the joining at the side seal portion, it is considered preferable not to apply the hot melt adhesive to the joining portion.
- the hot-melt adhesive and not fix the elastic stretchable member it is preferable not to apply the hot-melt adhesive and not fix the elastic stretchable member to the site where the side seal portion is to be formed.
- the hot melt adhesive or the elastic elastic member is fixed at least in the side seal part by intermittently applying a hot melt adhesive for fixing the elastic elastic member except for the part forming the side seal part. Can be in a state that does not exist.
- intermittent application of hot melt adhesive creates areas where hot melt adhesive does not exist on the left and right sides (side seal portions) of the disposable diaper.
- the joint portions thereof are formed at positions close to the left and right edges of the diaper.
- a pants-type diaper obtains individual pants-type diapers by laminating a plurality of continuous sheet materials as described later, joining them with a pair of two joints, and cutting between them. Therefore, if there is not too much space between the joints, there is a possibility that the joints may not be cut at the time of cutting, and the joints may be cut. If it does so, the dispersion
- the inventor of the present invention binds the right and left side parts of the front body and the back body of the disposable diaper in the main joining region, and A pants-type disposable diaper is formed on the outer side in the left-right direction with respect to the joining area by forming a sub-joining area with a weaker joining strength than the main joining area to prevent the front cover sheet and the back cover sheet from opening. It has been found that the appearance of the can be improved and that the touch on the left and right sides can be prevented from being damaged. Then, the inventor has conceived that the problems of the prior art can be solved based on the above knowledge, and completed the present invention. Specifically, the present invention has the following configuration.

Abstract
