Abstract
Description
本発明の排泄物処理材は、パルプを主体として構成され吸水性を有する複数の粒状物により構成される。この排泄物処理材1は、図1に示すように、核部11と、染色層12と、被覆層13と、を備える。
核部11は、パルプを主体として構成される。また、核部11は、パルプの他、高吸水性樹脂、香料、及び抗菌剤等を含む。
澱粉としては、タピオカスターチ、及びコーンスターチ等を用いることができる。澱粉は、粒状物が尿を吸収した場合における粘着性を向上させる。
香料及び抗菌剤は、核部に用いられるものと同様のものを用いることができる。
また、尿が粒状物に吸収されると、被覆層13が湿潤状態となることで染色層12の色が視認可能となり、排泄物処理材1が変色する。これにより、排泄物処理材1の使用者は、排泄物処理材1が濡れたことを容易に把握できる。
本実施形態の排泄物処理材1は、造粒工程S1、染色工程S2、被覆工程S3、乾燥工程S4、及び冷却工程S5を経て製造される。
尚、染色層12を有さない排泄物処理材1を製造する場合には、この染色工程S2は行われない。
この乾燥工程S4を経た粒状物(排泄物処理材1)の水分含有率は、好ましくは2%~10%である。
例えば、本実施形態では、排泄物処理材の製造方法を、染色工程S2を含んで構成したがこれに限らない。即ち、排泄物処理材の製造方法を、染色工程を含まずに構成し、染色層を有さない排泄物処理材を製造してもよい。また、排泄物処理材の製造方法を、染色工程を含まずに構成し、被覆工程において、パルプ、高吸水性樹脂、及び染料粒を含む被覆層原料を核部の表面に散布して、染色された排泄物処理材を製造してもよい。
造粒工程、染色工程、被覆工程、乾燥工程及び冷却工程を含む以下の製造方法により、実施例の排泄物処理材を製造した。
造粒工程では、使い捨ておむつ製造時の廃材から取り出される、主としてパルプからなり、高吸水性樹脂を含む原料を粒度φ5mm~φ15mmで粉砕し、造粒水分率が10~40%となるように水を加えた。混合後、混合物を押出造粒機を用いて造粒して核部を得た。
染色工程では、造粒工程で得られた核部をドラムに収容し、この核部が収容されたドラムを回転させながら、ドラムの内部に青色の染料を含む水溶液を散布し核部の表面に染色層を形成した。染色工程においては、核部の表面がまばらに染色される程度に染料を含む水溶液を散布した。
被覆工程では、染色層が形成された核部に対して、粉砕したパルプ55~90%、高吸水性樹脂5~40%、澱粉5~40%の割合で混合した粉末をふりかけて被覆層を形成し、核部、染色層及び被覆層を有する粒状物を得た。
乾燥工程では、被覆工程で得られた粒状物を、メッシュ状のベルトコンベアに載せて乾燥槽の内部に搬送して乾燥させた。より詳細には、乾燥槽において、ベルトコンベア20により搬送される粒状物にベルトコンベアの下方から熱風を吹き付け、搬送される粒状物を空中に舞い上げながら乾燥させた。乾燥工程では、粒状物に対して160℃~180℃の熱風を吹き付けた。乾燥工程では、粒状物の水分率が2%~10%となるまで乾燥を行った。
冷却工程では、乾燥工程により乾燥された粒状物を、ベルトコンベアにより冷却槽に搬送し冷却した。より詳細には、冷却槽において、ベルトコンベアにより搬送される粒状物にベルトコンベアの下方から冷風を吹き付け、搬送される粒状物を空中に舞い上げながら冷却した。冷却工程では、粒状物に対して0℃~15℃の冷風を10秒~60秒間吹き付けた。
また、上記の製造方法において、乾燥工程を終えた状態の粒状物を採取し、比較例の排泄物処理材を得た。
実施例及び比較例の排泄物処理材は、採取後速やかに密閉容器に収容し、室温にて24時間以上保管した。

Claims (9)
- 核部と該核部を被覆する被覆層とを備える粒状の排泄物処理材の製造方法であって、
パルプ及び高吸水性樹脂を含む核部原料及び水を混合して前記核部を造粒する造粒工程と、
前記造粒工程において造粒された前記核部の表面に、パルプ及び高吸水性樹脂を含む被覆層原料を散布して前記被覆層を形成する被覆工程と、
前記被覆工程において前記被覆層が形成された粒状物を熱風により乾燥させる乾燥工程と、
前記乾燥工程により乾燥された前記粒状物を冷却する冷却工程と、を備える排泄物処理材の製造方法。 - 前記乾燥工程において、前記粒状物の下方から熱風を吹き付ける請求項1に記載の排泄物処理材の製造方法。
- 前記乾燥工程は、上部に排気口が形成された乾燥槽の内部において行われる請求項1又は2に記載の排泄物処理材の製造方法。
- 前記乾燥工程では、前記乾燥槽の内部において前記粒状物をメッシュ状のコンベアにより搬送しながら熱風を吹き付ける請求項3に記載の排泄物処理材の製造方法。
- 前記造粒工程と前記被覆工程との間に設けられ、前記核部の表面に染料又は顔料を塗布する染色工程を更に備える請求項1~4のいずれかに記載の排泄物処理材の製造方法。
- 前記被覆工程において、パルプ、高吸水性樹脂、及び染料粒を含む被覆層原料を散布する請求項1~4のいずれかに記載の排泄物処理材の製造方法。
- 前記冷却工程において、前記粒状物の下方から冷風を吹き付ける請求項1~6のいずれかに記載の排泄物処理材の製造方法。
- パルプ及び高吸水性樹脂を含む核部原料及び水を混合して核部を造粒する造粒工程と、
前記造粒工程において造粒された前記核部の表面に、パルプ及び高吸水性樹脂を含む被覆層原料を散布して被覆層を形成する被覆工程と、
前記被覆工程において前記被覆層が形成された粒状物を熱風により乾燥させる乾燥工程と、
前記乾燥工程により乾燥された前記粒状物を冷却する冷却工程と、を経て製造された排泄物処理材。 - 目開き1mmの篩を通過する粉状物の含有量が1g/l以下である請求項8に記載の排泄物処理材。
