Description
プラスチック廃材粉を先行例の如く20〜90重量%以上、富含有した粒状体は実際には透過率が過大となり、保水機能を大幅に減殺する懸念を有している。
プラスチックは元々焼却処理時に環境に有害な物質を発生する、焼却炉を損傷する等の問題を有しており、これを微粉末に粉砕したからといってこの問題を解消できるわけではなく、ましてやこれを富含有せる場合には、従来吸水性粒状体の主材として用いられている植物由来の材料に比べ有用であるとは到底言い難い。
更に出願人は上記先行例を検証すべく、紙おむつ廃材をこの種粉砕機としては市場において汎用されている、回転カッターと固定カッター間において対象物を粉砕するロータリー型粉砕機にかけ、ポリオレフィンフィルムを3ミリメートル以下の微粉に粉砕することを繰り返し試行したが、この微粉の通過を許容するメッシュ度の粉砕機スクリーンに早期に目詰まりを来たし安定な量産が困難であること、内何回かは粉砕時の摩擦熱で発火を招来する問題を知見した。
吸水膨潤して吸水性粒状体1中に多量の水分を保水する吸水性ポリマー粉に代表される配合材。
植物由来の主材間を結合して保形する澱粉、CMC粉に代表される配合材。
吸水性粒状体1に重量を付加するタルク、炭酸カルシウム、クレー、ベントナイト、砂等の無機充填材に代表される配合材。

Claims (5)
- 植物由来の材料を主材とし、該主材中に少なくとも吸水性ポリマーを配合し、粒状に圧縮成形して成る吸水性粒状体であって、該吸水性粒状体中に柔軟性を有するプラスチックフィルムの切片が混在し、該プラスチックフィルムから成る切片が吸水性粒状体中において揉捻又は皺曲されて内部に導管又は空洞を形成しており、該導管又は空洞内に導水する構造を有することを特徴とする排泄物処理材。
- 上記プラスチックフィルムから成る切片が6〜12ミリメートルの大きさを有し、吸水性粒状体中に1〜13重量%含有することを特徴とする請求項1記載の排泄物処理材。
- 上記プラスチックフィルムの切片に揉捻又は皺曲を施したものを上記主材中に配合したことを特徴とする請求項1記載の排泄物処理材。
- 上記プラスチックフィルムから成る切片の一部が吸水性粒状体の表面において開口する導管又は空洞を形成していることを特徴とする請求項1記載の排泄物処理材。
- 上記吸水性粒状体を吸水性被覆層で被層したことを特徴とする請求項1記載の排泄物処理材。
