Definitions

  • This invention relates to a banknote handling apparatus.
  • banknote handling devices are used in transactions involving exchange of money between customers and financial institution staff (so-called tellers) (for example, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2004-145600).
  • tellers for example, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2004-145600.
  • the banknote handling apparatus accepts a banknote from a customer, the banknote is stored in a temporary storage unit so that the banknote can be returned until the transaction is confirmed.
  • the structure which accommodates in a storage in the classification is adopted.
  • the banknote handling apparatus has a function of excluding banknotes that do not satisfy certain criteria such as dirt and shape from being subject to transaction as reject banknotes. .
  • a teller who is a user of a banknote handling device usually plays a role of mediating a banknote between a customer and the banknote handling device, and the teller operates the banknote handling device. It was configured on the assumption. However, in transactions with financial institutions, for example, when it is more convenient for the banknote handling apparatus to be operable by the customer, for example, the customer can directly insert banknotes into the banknote handling apparatus. There is also.
  • the present invention has been made in order to solve the above-described problems, and adds a configuration for expanding a variation of a usage method in a banknote handling apparatus while suppressing an increase in size and complexity of the banknote handling apparatus.
  • the purpose is to provide.
  • the present invention has been made to solve at least a part of the problems described above, and can be realized as the following forms.
  • the banknote handling apparatus includes at least first and second deposit / withdrawal ports capable of loading and unloading banknotes from the outside; a banknote storage for storing banknotes; A first conveyance path capable of bi-directionally conveying banknotes between the first deposit / withdrawal port and the bill storage; and between the second deposit / withdrawal port and the first deposit / withdrawal port A second transport path for transporting banknotes; an operation receiving unit for accepting an operation for confirming or canceling the transaction; and a control unit for controlling transport of banknotes in the first and second transport paths.
  • the accepting unit When the accepting unit accepts an operation for confirming the transaction, the bill at the first deposit / withdrawal port is transported and stored in the bill storage box via the first transport path, and the operation accepting unit When accepting an operation for canceling the transaction, the second deposit transaction process is performed in which the first deposit / withdrawal port is brought into a state in which a bill can be taken out from the outside.
  • the two deposit / withdrawal ports can be appropriately selected and used as bill input ports, and variations in the method of using the bill handling apparatus are expanded. Further, even when two deposit / withdrawal ports are provided, since the main bill conveyance path is shared, complication and enlargement of the apparatus accompanying the addition of the conveyance path are suppressed. Furthermore, when the second deposit / withdrawal port is used as the bill slot, the first deposit / withdrawal port is used as a temporary storage for bills and the first deposit / withdrawal port is effectively utilized. Efficient. Note that problems, configurations, effects, and the like of the present invention other than those described above will be described as appropriate in the description of the following examples and embodiments.
